AI-generated summary based on reviews added by customers
Cat's Best litter has received praise for its excellent clumping and minimal tracking, keeping homes tidy and odour-free. However, recent changes have left some users disappointed, citing issues with dust, inconsistent clumping, and smaller, crumbling pellets. Despite these concerns, many still find it economical and effective, particularly for long-haired cats. Overall, while the product has seen a dip in quality, it remains a favourite for its cleanliness and ease of use.

Very good
Great litter! Finally, a litter that really clumps well. Having a long-haired tomcat, I was quite sceptical about whether it would stick to his fur. It really doesn’t. I’d even recommend it to the "staff" of short-haired cats ;-)

Great
My cats have taken to it really well, and I think it’s great at controlling odours.
Since I have a Maine Coon cat, I/she often had the problem of the lightweight, small litter getting stuck in her fur. With the pellets, there’s no trouble at all anymore, and I’ve noticed there’s less litter scattered around the flat.

Not quite ideal despite good suction power
Tested over several months – I won’t be buying it again for the following reasons:
The pellets are simply too large and can’t be sifted through the scoop. Plus, their size makes them really noticeable on the floor and carpet, so I’m constantly sweeping up.
However, the odour control is absolutely perfect.

Very good litter
So impressed with this Best litter.
Clumps well, easy to clean out tray and doesn't adhere to cats nether regions so doesn't get distributed around the house.
Great product.

Pellets
The product has changed a lot. There’s a lot more fine stuff in it now. Overall, the quality has gotten worse.

Constant ripping bags
I love this product and there is no better litter on the market but something has changed with the bags. I am tired of every single one ripping, the last 5 I have bought have all been the same. One split and was left outside by the delivery driver is only to get rained on. You can imagine the mess. Please solve your issues with your bags.

As sole litter, poor
If you only use the pellets, the clumps are so soft that they break apart when sifting. Odour control is a joke, and it still gets carried out on the paws.

satisfied
My two cats have taken to it well, and it doesn’t end up scattered all over the flat. I previously used the regular Cat's Best, and despite using mats, I still had to vacuum at least every two days.
Finally, their fur stays clean too.
I can’t comment on odour control, as I’ve only ever used Cat's Best.
It clumps very well, though quite strongly. I’ve never had to fish out such large clumps from the litter box before.
As a result, the consumption is quite high.

The best for digging cats
Low odour.
Sits heavily in the litter tray, so very little gets scattered outside.
Doesn't crumble around the house.
It's dust-free and lasts a long time.

Changed composition
I am very dissatisfied with the "new" quality of the pellets – much finer granulation, and for the first time, they don't neutralise odours.
Hopefully, it's just a production error, as the pellets are the only right choice for me after extensively trying out different types of litter.
I still find the price reasonable.

Unsure about the second one.
So, I previously had the "normal" one from CB, and out of my three British Shorthair cats, it was always the grey one who managed to spread the litter all over the apartment.
A week ago, I decided to switch.
OK, it's more expensive than the regular one, but I think there's not as much abrasion/dust in the litter box anymore.
However, for the first two days, it smelled strongly of detergent... It clumps just as well as the other one, but I can't say much about consumption yet. I have two litter boxes and have used 1.5 bags over the past two weeks.

uncertain
Hello,
When you read through the reviews here, it seems the opinions are rather divided.
I find it very unfortunate that the reviews are not commented on by the manufacturer (or perhaps they can't?).
A statement would be somewhat helpful, even for other products, because as it stands, you only have the opinions/experiences of the customers...
And since the character limit here is restricted, I will write my experience in a second review, hoping that both will appear one after the other...

Litter changed
I’ve been using this litter for many years, but the composition must have changed somehow. For the first time, the flat smelled unpleasant when I came home—just one day after the litter box had been freshly cleaned. Absolutely unacceptable! The litter is also darker and smaller than usual, and because of the latter, more of it gets carried out of the litter box. I’m cancelling my subscription and will look for a different litter.

I was a little sceptical, but it’s amazing
My groomer and good friend recommended I try the Cats Best Smart Pellets, rather than using standard wood pellets for my two cats.
I gave this a go, and a month later, I have cancelled my multiple bag ‘subscribe and save’ order for wood pellets, and will be getting one (possibly one-and-a-half) bags of these Smart pellets a month.
They are amazing, and there is so little waste. Love them, thanks for the heads up Nina..!
Massive deterioration
I've been using this litter for ages and was very happy with the product, but now the pellets are smaller, there's a lot of dust in the pack, it clumps poorly, and odour control has become bad. My consumption has more than doubled now, so I'll be looking for alternatives.

Good 😊
We’re currently testing this litter in one of the cat litter boxes! Since we also have regular wood pellets for the stove, we put those from the stove into the other litter box!
These are a bit larger, but our cats absolutely love them 😄 You might want to ask in-store how much 15 kg costs.
Additionally, you can dispose of the alternative in the toilet as well.

Far too expensive, high consumption, no odour retention
This product doesn't bind odours at all; the whole house smells like a damp sawmill and "faeces". It does get carried out, though, but fluffy mats hold it back a bit, as regular trapping mats don't have holes big enough. At least it sticks less to paws and fur, is disposable in the organic waste bin, and doesn't create dust. However, the consumption (at this price) is exorbitant – with two Maine Coon cats, I need one bag per week!!!

Was always super satisfied, but not anymore.
I have no idea what’s happened to the litter. All of a sudden, it’s so dusty, and the pellets seem much smaller, almost as if some of the cheaper CAT’s Best has been mixed in. It’s really strange—maybe it’s just an exception with these two packs. If it stays like this, I’ll have to look for a new one :( such a shame :(
