I've been using this litter for 7 years. Recently, there was a change – the litter no longer clumps, looks different, and ends up scattered all over the flat! The reason for buying this litter is now gone. You might as well use any cheap litter instead.

The quality has significantly declined. The pellets have become smaller, and since then, the litter has been spreading all over the flat. The value for money is no longer acceptable at all.

I normally use original cats best but tried the pellets last time to see if it helped with tracking with my long haired cats. Which it did. I now receive 2 large packs in this delivery and they are only about 30/40 % complete pellets the rest is crumbed pellets and dust which will be worse for tracking than the original cats best. Both packets are affected. The extra cost makes this very disappointing.

I have been buying this litter lately because it wasn't tracking as badly as the previous sort. But the quality has deteriorated and it quickly breaks up into tiny crumbs which make an awful mess. I won't be buying again.

I’ve been using this cat litter for 10 years. My tomcats grew up with it. Recently, the litter not only looks different, but one of my cats refuses to use it anymore.

This cat litter is fab. It's flushable, lasts ages and doesn't track. You have to learn how to use it though and it's slightly more complicated than regular litter. You'll need a shifting litter tray; check out Youtube for videos that explain how to use them properly.

Always purchased the Cat's Best Smart Pellets because there was little or no smell, when first put out very woodsy smell, clumped very well, easy to scoop up taking everything soiled. Now something has changed and urine spots crumble on contact with the scooper making it very difficult to collect all the bits. Using a lot more litter and cleaning out the litter box far more frequently. Please return to the old smart pellets - please.

My last purchase consisted of mainly dust and tiny pieces - it was also a lot darker in colour. I hope this is a one -off as previously it was a great product but this last bag I ended up throwing most away and the rest was all over my floor!

Probably the best overall. Very low tracking and no dust. 'Cat's Best Original' tracking is what nightmares are made of! The smart pellets are good with clumping but I purchase because its low tracking. More expansive than most but it lasts a month with my two cats.

The pellets are much finer than they used to be, and as a result, my cats are tracking the litter out of the litter box. The quality has deteriorated significantly over the past few months.

I’ve been buying Cat's Best Smart Pellets cat litter for my ferrets for years. Compared to other wood pellets, it was significantly better at neutralising odours and formed nice clumps that were easy to remove. Due to its weight, the litter stayed in the toilet and wasn’t scattered all over the flat, unlike other products. Unfortunately, the product was recently changed, and I can hardly tell the difference now between it and the much cheaper small animal pellets used as litter.

Great litter! Finally, a litter that really clumps well. Having a long-haired tomcat, I was quite sceptical about whether it would stick to his fur. It really doesn’t. I’d even recommend it to the "staff" of short-haired cats ;-)

My cats have taken to it really well, and I think it’s great at controlling odours. Since I have a Maine Coon cat, I/she often had the problem of the lightweight, small litter getting stuck in her fur. With the pellets, there’s no trouble at all anymore, and I’ve noticed there’s less litter scattered around the flat.

So impressed with this Best litter. Clumps well, easy to clean out tray and doesn't adhere to cats nether regions so doesn't get distributed around the house. Great product.

Tested over several months – I won’t be buying it again for the following reasons: The pellets are simply too large and can’t be sifted through the scoop. Plus, their size makes them really noticeable on the floor and carpet, so I’m constantly sweeping up. However, the odour control is absolutely perfect.

The product has changed a lot. There’s a lot more fine stuff in it now. Overall, the quality has gotten worse.

I love this product and there is no better litter on the market but something has changed with the bags. I am tired of every single one ripping, the last 5 I have bought have all been the same. One split and was left outside by the delivery driver is only to get rained on. You can imagine the mess. Please solve your issues with your bags.

If you only use the pellets, the clumps are so soft that they break apart when sifting. Odour control is a joke, and it still gets carried out on the paws.

It has gotten much worse.
