Update - bought 2 more!!!
I previously bought 1 Superfeed for Zoey as she had to have a special diet. Shortly after our 17 year old Ziggy had to have a special diet too, so bought another 2 - Zoey's sister Kizzy has no problems!!!. Although an elderly cat, Ziggy took to it iimmediateley and without any encouragement. A great advantage is that it's possible to monitor just how much each cat eats. Highly recommend.
A Life Changer!
With 3 cats all on different diets, and 2 dogs just waiting in the wings to polish off any leftovers, these feeders have revolutionised my life! Luckily my cats are ruled by their stomachs so accepted the noise of the feeder opening very quickly... All 3 of them within a week! I can now ensure each cat gets their specific food, if any need medication, that's sorted too, and if I go away my cat sitter can be sure of who is eating what and in what quantities! Fabulous investment!

JUST BRILLIANT!!
My two cats are very nervous so I took the time to very slowly introduce them to their feeders, longer than the instructions suggested. It is a life saver, when one needs medication in their food the other can't nick any, and as one is on a diet I can now weigh out and monitor what he eats. Such a brilliant design, worth every penny and my cats love eating from them! If you have any problems contact their excellent customer service team, really impressed with them.

Excellent product
Zoey is a nervy cat but loves playing with toys, and I think she believes this is a toy!! I left it open for first few days and got her to go near it by putting a row of Dreamies leading up to where her chip would be recognised. She now opens it up without eating anything just wo watch it open and close!!

So I gave this 3 stars previously, as my fat boy was able to reach over the side and steal food as my old girl ate. I contacted Surefeed about this issue and they sent me an after market hood to add to the feeder. Problem solved, fat boy cant reach over the side any longer. As for squeezing in beside the old girl, the hood has also prevented that somehow. So pleased that my old girl can now have all the extra food she needs and can graze all day.

Brilliant!
I bought these because the pup kept stealing the cat's food and one cat would lick all the juice off her sister's food!
It is a really good product and only got 4 stars because it just won't read the cat's microchips so they've had to wear collars and use the discs intead.
I have since moved to the middle east and we have had a phalax of ants makings an exploratory foray in to the kitchen - the seal has kept the ants out of the dishes! And those ants are tiny, like a grain of sand :D

Brilliant!
Ordered three as I have one chubster, who needs to lose a lot of weight and one cat who is slim...the other 3 being about the right weight. Chubster was of course eating more than his fair share of the food put down for the others. Registering their microchips was very simple and the training instructions very comprehensive and sensible. All five cats were happily using the cat feeders within a week. Now I can regulate the amount of food for the cat who is on a diet. Great purchase!
Excellent to keep track of food
I have two feeders that I been working for over a year and clean up easily. Absolutely the best feeders I've come across that help me keep track of food and help maintain moisture in the wet food.

Prevents food theft by neighbourhood cats
The main reason I bought this was to prevent food theft by a couple of the neighbourhood cats but it also helps to keep the food fresher for longer as our cat is a grazer. The training mode is very good, very useful and very effective; there are settings for cautious cats too. It is easy to clean. So, full marks from me.
surefeed cat feeder
Bought 2 of these as have two cats with different feeding needs. Worked for a while but my overweight cat sneaks in to the other feeder and eats with my other cat which is okay. Problem occurs when the registered cat leaves his feeder the bowl lid doesn't close leaving free access to the non-registered cat so useless and doesn't do what says on the tin. Would not recommend this product as expensive and ineffective unless issue is fixed by Manufacturer

Best thing since sliced bread!!!!!!
My male cat has to have special wet renal food but the female (who eats dry food) loves to eat it and then gets sick. This has been a time-saver as I don't now have to watch over them when they eat. He learnt very quickly how to use it and it's worth it's weight in gold.

Definitely a life saver
We have two cats, one is a chubby cops and the other has food intolerance so we could not keep both cats without this fab solution. Takes a little effort to get them used to it but even our female (nickname PTSD kitty) got the hang of it. Working well after nearly a year. Lucille, our female has occasionally bullied her way into Ernest's food by holding the flap back with her head, but luckily he has never got into hers as he has the food intolerance. Also great for keeping flies off the food.
Game Changer for Cats with Different Feeding Habits or Food
If you have a super greedy cat and a grazer cat like I do, this product is a must have in your household. I hesitated over the price for quite a while but there is nothing else like it out there. It is quite a big contraption but now I can feed my grazer cat and walk away knowing that the greedy cat will not be able to steal his food as soon as he can (it is very satisfying watching him try). The grazer cat will then be able to eat his food throughout the day as and when he pleases.

Actual Lifesaver
I was a little skeptical that this was worth nearly £80, but it was so worth it. After about a week of the training mode, cat #1 (who likes to pick at her food throughout the day) had learned how to use it properly, and cat #2 (who is a greedy little fluff) has been desperately trying to work out how to get at the food ever since. Success! Highly recommended.

Best money spent
I have one elderly, grazing cat, who was getting thinner and thinner, and 3 greedy cats that need dieting. This allows me not to worry that the oldie gets enough food. And he is getting fatter. I really think it has bought him years of life!
Not good if your cats like sharing
I purchased this so my elderly, thin cat could have free access to food without my fat boy eating it all. Took her just 2 weeks to work it, unfortunately fat boy quickly worked it out too. My old girl tolerates fat cat so they are both able to get under the chip reader together! Even if she isn't up to sharing, fat cat is tall enough to reach over the side plate and steal biscuits! So not ideal if you have cats that are friendly with each other or tall enough to reach over the sides.

Life saver!!
These are the best thing ever! I have one cat with CKD that must not eat regular cat food and two others who have gotten plump from eating the calorie dense renal food that they don't need.
I did need two one for each food type and they are expensive but well worth it. If you have been trying to manually monitor food for cats you know how time consuming it is, you won't look back with these, they are very simple to use as well!

Now little miss greedy cannot eat all the food and little miss picky can eat throughout the day as she wishes

Needs a quieter motor
Apart from the loud motor alerting greedy cat that model cat is snacking, and waking us up from the hall, this is a great product.

Great Problem Solver!
Just like everyone else, my cats all have different dietary needs. One is overweight at 7kg, due to helping herself to the others' food; one has recently been put on medication for her arthritis; and the other likes to graze, as and when the mood takes her. I have bought 3 of these products and they truly do what they are designed to do. Only one cat was nervous of the motorised lid, but she eventually overcame that.

It has built-in obsolescence
The feeder itself is great if you have several cats with different types of food, but after 3-4 years it stops working. This has already happened to me with two of them. The circuit board, which is the "brain" of the device, stops working and it just doesn't work anymore.

Unfortunately, this bowl was apparently designed by people who don’t own cats. It’s not well thought out. A cat that shouldn’t be eating from the bowl can easily get to the food along with the right cat. Either it stands next to it or comes from the side. The lid closes slowly after the right cat leaves, even at the highest speed setting. The batteries run out quickly. One of the two bowls I have is very noisy.

Expensive for what you get, works alright
These feeding bowls broke after 3 years. The lid mechanism was too worn out by then and it wouldn’t open properly anymore. Other than that, it’s a good feeding bowl and the lid responds quickly to the chip.
Just a heads up: If you have a strong and fast cat who’s really hungry, they can manage to get their mouth between the lid and the edge with enough speed and push it open again.
Now that both bowls are broken, I find them too expensive to buy again.

Makes life easier
Bought with my cat in mind, who has chronic food intolerance, needs to take medication, and as if that wasn’t enough, likes to eat in small portions. Very satisfied for one of my cats
I bought this feeder for my two cats. It's really convenient to be able to register several microchips. Unfortunately, one of my cats gets scared every time the lid opens, even with the training mode. This option was very helpful for the cat who has now got used to the feeder.

I’d like someone to explain to me what good it is for me that the feeder only opens with a microchip if it DOESN’T CLOSE WHEN THE CAT LEAVES. The other cats have plenty of time to come and eat, and if there’s another cat eating—even if it’s not the one with the registered chip—it DOESN’T CLOSE. It's okay, but pricey for what you get
I've had the feeder for quite a while now, and I'm pretty happy with it, but for the price you wouldn't expect teething problems, yet there are a few:
- Setting it up is tricky because sometimes the feeder doesn't immediately register the chip
- The feeder doesn't always open when the cat puts its head under the sensor
- Mould: If the food isn't eaten straight away, moisture gets in because the lid is closed, and this causes the rubber to go mouldy. Even if you clean the bowls every day.
- Fast cats also get to eat, as the flap stays open

Neither the lifespan of the container nor the batteries is accurate
I've had the feeder for 2 years now.. they claim with Duracell batteries it'll last 6 months.. but honestly, it's more like 3 months.
And they say the feeder has a lifespan of 6 years.. but really, it's 2 years because the motor has already given up.
Also, it's really awkward for a Maine Coon to eat from it because the arch gets in the way a lot.
So if you're still thinking about buying it.. DON'T do it for a big cat.
