SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder

We have 2 cats & one kitten. They are each on separate diets due to health issues. This is the perfect feeder for them. I no longer have to worry about them stealing each other’s food, especially when there is medication added. The kitten didn’t need the training mode. He got it straight away. Adults may take longer due to the noise if they are a bit jumpy. It’s not loud though, just different. Highly recommend.

5 cats, 2 overweight & 3 that graze; each has one & all know which is theirs. The Tortie pulls her tray out looking for more food & looks in other feeders in case they aren’t closed. If opened manually it needs to be closed manually; if cat opens automatically the green light is on & it closes automatically. My big cat needs the tag as his chip is not in the right place due to his size. Cat sitters use these feeders. They are brilliant, definitely recommend for multi-cat households.

4 cats and all 4 took around 10 min to figure it out and get used to it. Cats when hungry will start using it and you have to encourage them to use it and they will get over the noise. Best product my cats love it and It had sorted my problem amazingly😊 I bought 4 so every cat is happy... Well almost every as the 7kg cat is OK diet😂

i have 3 cats - 2 have food alleriges, not the same allergy! Therefore i bought this to try it before buying 3. i have tried it with all 3 of my cats and they are scared of the mechanism. They also dont like something being round the back of their heads when eating, none of my cats hunch down to eat - which meant putting their head through the space to eat wasnt something they were comfortable with i would not recommed buying this product

Took my 9 year old boy all of 5 minutes to work this out. Helped he was hungry & over his feeding time. I have to keep 1 of my cats on dry as wet upsets her tummy badly. The older cat recently lost weight due to deciding to refuse dry food. So the wet food & his supplements are all his now. I can monitor how much he eats & know it's only him eating it. Took seconds to set up. Expensive, but solved the big problem I was faced with so I'm happy to pay the price.

Unfortunately, like only 1 other reviewer, this product seems to be ineffective for my situation. Bought 2 and the greedy cat took to it immediately, but the one who likes to graze won't go near it. He doesn't want to put his head under the arch, and the motor sound terrifies him. Alas, I was so excited for this and feel really sad. Otherwise it's a great product.

I have used these for about 6 years, have 4 cats & 3 feeders, they are all on different diets. One will eat nothing but biscuits - sadly. One on a renal diet, one on a normal elderly diet & have just rescued a skip diver, counter surfer dustbin cat. My Maine coon cannot use his properly. He has a very long neck & because his microchip is between his shoulder blades, it won't recognise it until his head is out the other side of the arch. It then opens & he panics running off with it around his neck. I could use the rfd tag, but, he has never had a collar & feeding him on the hall windowsill at the top of the stairs that only he can reach, seemed an easier option. They are rather large & tricky to clean, especially if your cat eats like a rotavator! Very good item that does save you money as less waste from spoiled food.

I didn’t think my daft cat was going to get it but after almost 6 weeks he’s had a eureka moment and ‘by Jove he’s got it’! We have one cat on a special diet so now he’s learned which bowl is his and all going well. Great idea just give it time and they will get it eventually. Only one design flaw is when on trainer mode the light constantly flashes draining the battery and as with our stupid cat got through lots during that phase.

I put a few treats in the bowl and my cat's chip was registered straight away. The learning process is well designed. My fussy grazer learned to use this within a few days. Now I can leave her food down, safe in the knowledge my other cat - an ex-stray, rubbish bag raider who is *always* hungry - can't steal it. Only negatives are the box wasn't glued together properly and fell apart when opened. And I find the open/close switch sometimes doesn't register it was pressed.

My feeder wouldn't recognise the cat and would only open for a second before closing on her snout! Went through the troubleshooting guide with no luck and was sent a new feeder out within 2 days. Superb can't praise them enough. Well done guys.

I bought 3 and its definitely money well spent, my fur babies all get their own food to eat without stealing leftovers.

So good keeping the kitten from eating the old guy's food - but as she grew a little and started with more adult food - had to get another to prevent him eating hers! great product - no more flies!! woohoo

I thought I was going to have to send this back - took my dippy cat about 10 days to get used to it. Do take your time using the training mode - it really does pay off. Now he headbutts the flap out of the way to get to his food. Our cat is grazer rather than a scoffer. So his food dries out or the flies get it.Basically we bin around a third of his food. Not anymore, this seals it, keeps it moist and fresh and no flies can get to it. In fact, at last he is eating more food than ever.

These feeders are fab . My female cat would finish off her brothers food as well as her own . She’s now on a diet and can only eat her own food . Brilliant !

I feel slightly guilty giving this a so-so review - the product seems to work perfectly, but it was a complete waste of money for us. The cat that is the main reason we got it - he's getting bullied out of his food - won't go near it. He is intimidated by the noise and hates having something over his head. He'd rather go hungry than use it. I should have known better! We'll have to try to sell it on, I guess.

In a multiple cat home, our 4 microchip feeders are perfect for our 6 large Maine Coons and 2 smaller breeds to have dietary their needs successfully met. All took very quickly to the sounds and movement (even a very timid one). Batteries last surprisingly long considering how often they are used by snacking cats. No trouble from flies whatsoever in warmer months as units seal food off. These feeders couldn't meet their needs any better; very cleverly designed with a lot of thought.

I bought one to try it out and it's fab. I have 2 cats who are chipped to this feeder as one of my other cats has to watch his diet. I also have a small female who has a delicate stomach so I am just about to order another so she can have her special food without the others taking it from her. Brilliant product, highly recommended.

With two rescue British Shorthairs, one of whom I've learned will eat her body-weight in food per day given a chance, well, unsurprisingly she's been putting on weight and her sister has been losing out. So I bought two of these and slowly introduced the door movement over some weeks and now it's the new normal for them, with each cat automatically going to her feeder. This means I can better portion control and can obviously tell which cat has eaten what. Expensive? Not at all. A godsend.

We have 3 cats, one who is a pig and will eat 10 portions and still meow for more, and 2 who graze throughout the day. I bought 2 and the difference these have made is huge! Buster AND Daisy have both lost weight &Lily has gained a bit! The girls can pick throughout the day without Buster stealing it - fabulous! Daisy was skeptical at first and took a while to accept but they all get their share of food now which is fab. Only downside is that the unit is a pain to clean.

I previously bought 1 Superfeed for Zoey as she had to have a special diet. Shortly after our 17 year old Ziggy had to have a special diet too, so bought another 2 - Zoey's sister Kizzy has no problems!!!. Although an elderly cat, Ziggy took to it iimmediateley and without any encouragement. A great advantage is that it's possible to monitor just how much each cat eats. Highly recommend.

The cat flap opens from the inside without any issues. From outside to inside, it should react to the chip straight away and open. But it doesn’t do that. It opens with a big delay, so my cat won’t go from outside to inside. Unfortunately, I’m not happy with it.

Costs a bit, but you get something good in return! My cats needed a little time to get used to the feeders, but now it's great—no more eating from each other's bowls, and they can just eat whenever they want without the other cat joining in.

At first I had to practice a bit and it took a few days for my cats to figure it out, but now it works brilliantly and takes so much stress off all of us. I chose the larger flap. I have a Norwegian Forest Cat mixed with Maine Coon and apparently a purebred Maine Coon. In any case, I think the size is perfect for both of them and I’d definitely recommend going for the bigger flap if you have larger cats. And yes, the mechanism is actually a bit noisy.

I've been using the machines for 3 months now. The bowls are too deep and the divided one (which I unfortunately need) is way too small. Otherwise, everything is plastic, the required batteries are from the last century – a rechargeable version would be much better – and one of them only works when it feels like it. At least each cat only eats the food meant for them... Price/performance is completely over the top.

Kibble stays dry, pâté always moist. No more flies buzzing around, no more stealing each other's food. Brilliant.

Works as described. All the cats got used to the feeders very quickly. All it took was to put their favourite pouch inside and let them sniff it. They knew it was there, they just had to figure out how to get to it. A couple of times they jumped when the lid opened, but their desire for their favourite pouch was stronger. There’s no smell of food at all in the flat. I already have 3 feeders for cats on different diets (one tomcat on urinary, another tomcat on no special diet, and two cats on gastrointestinal).

Cleaning is a nightmare, there's mould and you can't remove the side windows either. I paid 170 CHF for it, and it's definitely not worth it.

8 out of 10 times, the cats' chip isn't read, even though the batteries are brand new alkaline ones. The app is also useless, as updates are delayed by several hours. To be sure the cat can get in, you have to disable the lock and use it as a manual cat flap, which you might as well have bought for 100 kr.

Easy to install. Works well. It's a shame there doesn't seem to be a LARGE version available.

The little door works well.. It almost completely lacks instructions for setting the opening and closing times.. It doesn't show whether the cat has gone through and whether it's inside or outside..

I've had the feeders for 2 years now and they work perfectly! I accidentally dropped one on the floor and it broke, but that was my fault. The batteries last a really long time, and the cats accepted the feeders straight away! Now my cat with the special diet can't steal the other cat's food anymore, and vice versa ;-) Best investment ever!

Cat flap in use with 2 cats for 11 years. Scanning the microchips is easy to understand and do, the flap was installed quickly and works reliably. After 11 years, the 4-way lock has worn out and falls out if a cat goes through too quickly. Had a chat with extremely friendly customer service, and now they're sending me a replacement lock free of charge. There really is still quality and service in Germany. Thanks.

Plastic nightmare with completely unsuitable bowls. Constantly breaking and unreliable.

I've had them for 8 years now and they're really brilliant! The only thing is that cleaning can be a bit tricky because of all the nooks and crannies, but once you get used to it, it's grand.

I had to order new bowls because the old ones were really worn out over time (8 years), but the new bowls don’t have the divider like before, which is a real shame. The water from the wet food runs into the kibble and the kibble ends up looking awful. So my cat doesn’t want it anymore... I have to throw the food away, which really bothers me.

After I adopted a fairly young wildling (~1.5 years old) from the area, word apparently got around in the cat community that there’s a 5-star walk-in buffet at my place, and managing that overnight was pretty time-consuming and cost me a lot of sleep. The Surefeed worked brilliantly – the troublemakers are left standing in front of a locked flap, and the little rascal is much more relaxed now that he knows there’ll still be food later on.

My senior likes to pace himself with his food. For the past few weeks, we've had a new rescue who inhales anything edible in seconds. No chance Grandpa can leave his bowl for later anymore. The automatic feeder was our hope… It took less than 10 minutes for the senior to figure out how it works. Lid up – favourite treat – done. The feeder is super quiet and registering only took a few seconds. I'm thrilled.
