My cats absolutely love this toy wand with real feathers, and thanks to the long and flexible rod, the play radius is much larger. Unfortunately, the ribbon keeps curling up, and the string becomes very short after just a bit of swinging back and forth. When smoothing it out, you have to be very careful; otherwise, knots form in the string straight away. This really disrupts the flow of play. This wasn’t an issue with the previous model.

We miss the "old" fishing rod! Why change rods that were perfect? With the previous interchangeable attachment, the metal ball had to click into a metal coupling – it was super practical and nothing got tangled. Now this mechanism has been replaced, and there's an oversized, cheap, impractical plastic carabiner at the end of the cord. The feather's flight behaviour is now terrible, and the cord twists. The rod is unusable. Such a shame, it used to be our favourite rod.

After unsuccessfully trying toys with feathers that tore and shredded within seconds, I’m completely satisfied with this one. And the price is absolutely great! A veeeery long rod, which can also be adjusted. The feathers are really well attached to the pendant, so they don’t get ripped out straight away. And it’s great that you can also swap out the pendant. Top!

Unfortunately, something seems to have been changed in the new version. If you move the rod back and forth three times, the entire tape winds itself back up. You have to untangle the "mess" every time just to have a usable tape again :-(

We’ve always used the fishing rod with the old clasp before. It’s no longer available, but that hasn’t dampened the fun for us at all. Even with the carabiner, throwing, hiding, and dragging it works brilliantly, and our two tomcats just can’t get enough of it. The durability is absolutely fine for the price too. Lots of hours of playtime for the two of them, and after an intense session, they’re both completely knackered. Definitely a recommendation from us. :-)

My cats loved this wand toy. Since it was unavailable for a while, it’s now back with a new connector for the attachment. Unfortunately, this causes the string to tangle up so much that after just a minute of play, you’re left with just the stick and feathers. Untangling it takes too long and interrupts the playtime. Such a shame, especially since I bought several of them straight away.

I've been ordering this fishing rod for a long time. Unfortunately, I'm more than disappointed with the last order. I don't understand why a good product has been ruined like this. With the carabiner instead of the metal chain, the rod has become unusable. After just two flicks, the feather gets stuck at the top of the stick because the cord twists up so much. You end up spending all your time untangling it, and the cat quickly gets bored... I'd rather pay a bit more and have a functioning product. This just doesn't cut it!

This was always my cats' favourite fishing rod, and I was very happy to see it back in stock. Unfortunately, the new design is an absolute disaster! The string twists immediately, whether you throw it or just gently swing it back and forth. Playing with it is impossible.

None of the toy wands I buy for my two cats last longer than a week, whether they're expensive or cheap. That's why I'm happy with this one – it only lasts a week for me too, but at least it's affordable. This is now my sixth order.

Despite not being very durable, I think this product is fantastic. My cats have never been as excited about any cat toy as they are about this one. Given that, it's understandable that it didn't last too long. I'll definitely be buying it again.

I can only agree with all the other reviews. As soon as the cord is "thrown" around 4-5 times, it gets completely tangled. At first, I thought it was due to the material of the band and tied the new feather to an old rod, but I had the same problem in less than a minute. The new clasp, a carabiner, basically makes the rod unusable.

As previous reviewers have already mentioned, the band twists itself due to the new design. As a result, the springs hardly spin at all anymore. Unfortunately, this means it’s no longer fun for us or our cats. Please revert to the previous version!

My tomcat loves these fishing rods, especially when they have feathers. I really like that the rod can also be so long. He gets so much joy out of it.

The cat wand arrived today. I've ordered it many times before and have always been satisfied until now. I immediately noticed that the connection piece between the string and the feather tuft had been changed, which I found very positive. However, the joy didn’t last long, as after just a few swings, the string frayed so much that it became significantly shortened. You constantly have to untangle it by hand. Playing like this is no fun :-(

This is currently our eldest's favourite toy. She's absolutely crazy about it. I've bought another one as a backup. She loves this thing.

The new connection between the toy and the wand (formerly beads, now a plastic carabiner) is really, really tedious. The feathers stop flying properly after just two swings, and you constantly have to interrupt play to untangle it. On top of that, I’m worried that my wild cats might get their toes caught in the carabiner and possibly hurt themselves. Please go back to the original version! It’s more fun for both two-legged and four-legged friends!

The big tomcat is having a blast, and the little one is watching with great excitement. How long will this thing last? The tomcat tears everything apart in no time, but so far it’s survived two play sessions.

I’ve now ordered the fishing rod for the fifth time, and previously it always had a small “ball joint.” That worked wonderfully. The springs spin when pulled through the air, and the thread gets tangled within a few seconds. Unfortunately, we’re completely dissatisfied with this so-called improvement.
