As others who are annoyed with me have already written, the fishing rod used to be a hit back in the day. I was annoyed at myself for buying this telescopic rod for €19.99, but now – no, no, no, I don’t even think it’s the new mounting; even the line itself is cheaper. Sometimes it lasted for 2-3 minutes, but getting it wet doesn’t really help either. And my two always look at me when I have to untangle this rubbish again, as if they’re thinking – now he’s playing with it :(

Unfortunately, the product has been changed in terms of the spring attachment... Such a shame, it used to fly much better and didn’t constantly get tangled.

If you enjoy untangling strings, go for it – everyone else, hands off. The cats absolutely love it, but I lose interest when I have to untangle the string after just five seconds... Please make it like it used to be again.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined. The attachment to the cord is poorly designed and creates more work untying knots than anything else. What a shame.

The play wand was always great. Unfortunately, the attachment for the feather has been changed (previously a metal chain with beads, now a plastic hook). Since the feather rotates, the string gets tangled, and the toy no longer works. Please change it back.

I’ve bought many Bird wands before because my two furry friends love playing with them. However, the current wands are a real flop. The change to make the feathers replaceable is good in principle. But the string keeps tangling up all the time, and you end up spending all your time untangling it. Meanwhile, my two little rascals sit sadly next to me. No more fun, really disappointing.

These toys used to be an absolute hit, especially for playtime at the animal shelter. However, ever since the chain link was replaced with the plastic carabiner, you’re constantly busy untangling the fishing line, which is super annoying. I’m happy to pay a few cents more again if I can get the old quality back. The new version is an absolute flop and no longer worth recommending. Such a shame!

Our tomcat loves playing with the fishing rod and is crazy about the feathers. The material and workmanship are absolutely fine for this price.

Mega cool, very thin line, runs 100%. My fat sacks had loads of fun.

We loved ordering the fishing rod through Zooplus points in 2021 and 2022. The one from 2021 was a hit, it spun around when waved. The one from 2022 is a disaster – the feathers are no longer attached to a ball chain, so the lovely long string gets tangled, and the feathers don’t fly when waved. Instead, I’m the one losing my temper because of the mess… My cat always looks so sad because he *loves* playing with the rod – but he’s relentless and gradually bites the holder to pieces.

I bought the fishing rod years ago, it had a chain on the spring. This constantly gets tangled and winds itself up. It's impossible to play for more than 2 minutes at a time, you're always busy untangling everything again.

My two cats love this wand, but ever since the connection between the feathers and the wand stick was changed, the string keeps twisting, which is really annoying.

Unfortunately, the attachment of the spring part on this great product has been changed, and since then the cord keeps twisting, and the fishing rod no longer works at all. It used to be a hit with us, but the modified version is unfortunately rubbish.

Unfortunately, not a good fishing rod anymore. It gets tangled up straight away. This never happened with the previous rod.

My two Birmans love this wand – it's great for imitating a fluttering bird. It doesn't last long with intense play, so we always order five at once.

We’ve been buying this play wand repeatedly for a while now because our cats love it so much that we go through them quite quickly. With the last purchase, I ordered five wands at once, and we’ve had the same issue with all of them. The string twists while playing, constantly interrupting our playtime as I have to untangle it.

The fishing rod unravels. With every movement, the fishing line gets shorter and shorter. You can hardly play with the cat because you're constantly untangling it.

My cats love the 30 seconds they get to chase the feathers, but the string gets tangled, making it shorter, and eventually, it’s just a little bundle with feathers on the stick. Unfortunately, the tip is glued on, so I can’t easily replace the string.

My tomcat loves this toy. I think it's cool because it's nice and long and really easy to handle. The tomcat enjoys it, and that's the most important thing :). What's annoying is that the string twists quickly, but otherwise it's brilliant. I just wonder if the attachment can be bought separately 😂
