This toy was much better then the attachments had metal balls instead of plastic bc the toy could spin and it wouldn't get tangled constantly. Was v good before that. A lot of hassle now.

The cats love it, no doubt about that. However, it doesn’t even last a week. The string twisting is simply due to its length. But it’s so thin that my cats chewed right through it. After tying it back together, they chewed up the plastic clip where the feather is attached.

The cat absolutely loves the feathers, but the string on the wand gets tangled so quickly that you’re constantly busy untangling it. I wouldn’t recommend it.

My cat occasionally likes to play with swishy toys and he seemed quite engaged with chasing it and chewing on the feathers... until he chewed through the "string" meaning that within ten minutes of me detaching it from the cardboard packaging, he has broken it. I'll keeep trying to tie it back together, but I don't see it lasting much longer, which is a shame.

I’ve ordered this fishing rod several times before, but ever since the hook for the feathers was changed (which is admittedly sturdier than the previous version), the line tangles and wraps itself around the feathers with the slightest movement, making it no fun to play with, unfortunately. At least my two cats especially love the black string even without the feathers, but that’s not really the point, is it? ;)

My cat loves the toy, but unfortunately the string keeps getting tangled up after just a few seconds, and you have to untangle it every time, which is pretty annoying during playtime.

The fishing rod itself is brilliant, and my cat LOVES it. However, the string twists so much that you can’t really use the rod properly. After swinging it back and forth three times, you have to go through the hassle of untangling it, and that happens every few seconds. Unfortunately, playing like this just doesn’t work—such a shame =/

The string broke after three uses. Otherwise, it’s a really cool toy because of the long stick.

Cat was interested in toy but unfortunately after it being not used for a few months, and then use it again, they feathers were just breaking down when the cat would play with it... I saw black pieces suddenly hanging in his fur. Not great quality IMO; have another feather toy that has gone through way more and this never happened.

Actually a great fishing rod, but some genius wrapped the line so tightly around the rod that it keeps curling up again and again! Such a shame.

Unfortunately, the fishing rod didn't survive the first play session. After 15 minutes, only one feather was left; the others had slipped out, not broken off. Such a shame.

With a SWIVEL FROM THE FISHING SUPPLIES, the spinner rotates without twisting the string. Costs only a few cents. Make sure to choose a lightweight one. They’re also available with a clip (then remove the plastic carabiner). And playing becomes fun again, without interruptions... 😸 Unfortunately, with the new version, the string twists around itself and the stick within seconds of play, becoming very short and unplayable. Simply because a SWIVEL is missing. Better to spend a bit more for something playable.

I've ordered quite a few of these fishing rods over the years, but this will probably be the last time. In the past, the feathers used to fly beautifully, spin around, and make sounds. Now, instead of the chain with a joint for attachment, there's a plastic carabiner without a joint. The result: the feathers no longer fly well. When they spin, the line gets completely twisted, and after every few swings, you have to untangle the line again. Such a shame!

My cat loves the wand toy, and the feathers immediately caught his attention. However, we only used the wand for two days, and the string has already snapped! Our cat chews on it when he plays, but we’ve only used the wand about four times in those two days, and the chewing was brief each time! Additionally, the string twists when swinging it back and forth, making it shorter and shorter. I’d rather invest in a slightly more expensive wand toy... A different type of string would be better.

I’ve ordered the fishing rod many times, but unfortunately, the current one is just disappointing. It’s attached with a spring clip, which only ends up tangling. The previous ones were connected with a chain that spun perfectly, didn’t tangle, and flew brilliantly. Honestly, I’d prefer to return both of them!

The cat wand arrived today. I've ordered it many times before and have always been satisfied until now. I immediately noticed that the connection piece between the string and the feather tuft had been changed, which I found very positive. However, the joy didn’t last long, as after just a few swings, the string frayed so much that it became significantly shortened. You constantly have to untangle it by hand. Playing like this is no fun :-(

The new connection between the toy and the wand (formerly beads, now a plastic carabiner) is really, really tedious. The feathers stop flying properly after just two swings, and you constantly have to interrupt play to untangle it. On top of that, I’m worried that my wild cats might get their toes caught in the carabiner and possibly hurt themselves. Please go back to the original version! It’s more fun for both two-legged and four-legged friends!

My tomcat is satisfied, but I’m not – the strap keeps getting tangled or winding itself back up.
