Unfortunately, the fishing rod didn't survive the first play session. After 15 minutes, only one feather was left; the others had slipped out, not broken off. Such a shame.

With a SWIVEL FROM THE FISHING SUPPLIES, the spinner rotates without twisting the string. Costs only a few cents. Make sure to choose a lightweight one. They’re also available with a clip (then remove the plastic carabiner). And playing becomes fun again, without interruptions... 😸 Unfortunately, with the new version, the string twists around itself and the stick within seconds of play, becoming very short and unplayable. Simply because a SWIVEL is missing. Better to spend a bit more for something playable.

I’ve been happily buying this fishing rod for years. However, the suspension has now been changed. Instead of the ball chain, there’s now a small plastic carabiner attached. This prevents the spring from rotating freely around its own axis during play. The result is a completely tangled and knotted cord, which makes further play impossible. Additionally, the feathers smell strongly of chemicals.

Indestructible. You can also attach a different toy to the front.

Very high quality at a low price. The rod is indestructible, the plug connection doesn’t come apart at all. The springs are super sturdy! My cat goes absolutely wild when I pick it up; he can really let his instincts run free.

This toy is the best thing I have ever bought my cats. It even taught my very shy, anxious cat how to play and enjoy herself! Both of my cats (one male, one female) will play with this thing for hours. The string gets tangled because it’s thin elastic, but we haven’t found it to be anything more than a slight nuisance.

This is already my second order. My cats love this wand toy. It's sturdy and durable, easy to handle for playtime. The interchangeable feather attachment is brilliant. Unbeatable for the price.

My cats used to love this toy and spent hours chasing them. The new design now means I spend more time untangling it than playing with my cats. Not sure why they would approve a new design that’s so much worse than the original.

I wish I had read the reviews... Ever since the cat wand was redesigned, it’s barely usable—unless you fancy untangling the string every 30 seconds while the furry friend waits around bored. Won’t be buying this again!

As many customers have mentioned, the modified suspension is a complete flop! Constantly having to untangle the thing ruins the fun of playing. Please reconsider this design flaw.

My Otis is thrilled, and as a true jumping artist, he loves it when the feathers whirl through the air and make noises. The downside is the string, which constantly twists itself up, significantly reducing the fun... but all in all, a great product! 😄

For years, we've been buying this cat wand. Since the product changed, the string immediately tangles during play, and the fun is over... We're very disappointed and hope the product will be made in its former quality again.

Tried out the fishing rod for the first time today, and never has a rod been so well received. The large 2m radius is perfect, allowing the cats to move around more and not have to hear the giant stomping right next to them, which often distracts ours so much that it interferes with their play. Went ahead and bought two more today so everyone has their own. PS: Also great for "walkies" :D

Due to its length and the great feather tuft, with a bit of practice, you can use this cat wand to mimic a truly authentic bird. It also works well for imitating a hopping frog or a darting mouse, which are very popular with my cats. This is my cats' favourite wand. What I don't like as much is the slightly too large plastic hook. When it falls on the parquet floor, it quickly startles the cats. The line itself has so far withstood even the wildest attempts to catch it. However, the front part of the rod occasionally comes off.

I've two cats and they adore this toy, I have to buy 6 to last me a year. They're really easily broken but have a realistic flutter which my cats love.

Previously, this fishing rod had a small metal chain between the springs and the line, so rotational movements weren’t transferred from the spring to the line. Now there’s a plastic carabiner that passes on the rotational movement. As a result, the rod is hardly usable anymore and not recommended.
