Great fun to play, poor craftsmanship
I ordered this fishing rod in a pack of three, and unfortunately, I have to say that only one of them is still usable. The fun my cats have playing with it is immense—they absolutely love this rod and eagerly wait every time for me to bring it out. However, the downside is that either the feathers come loose after a short time, or the entire bundle of feathers detaches from the holder. I’ve already tried to delay this by securing it with tape, but sadly, that doesn’t work either.
Conclusion: Great fun for my cats, but poor workmanship and very short-lived.

My two Birmans think the toy is brilliant!!!
I thought the idea behind this toy was very nice.
After my two Birmans had played with the wand for a few hours, the feathers came loose from the heat-shrink tubing, and the feather part detached completely from the wand. I pushed the feathers back in and stapled them securely. Then I reattached the feather part to the wand using a very small safety pin. On top of that, it’s quite annoying that the string keeps tangling during play. Such a shame! But for the reduced price, it’s okay.

Product deterioration instead of improvement
Unfortunately, we had to realise that the fishing rod is now absolutely poorly made. The feather neither rotates nor does the whole construction last long. The fluttering of the feathers is also missing. And this hasn’t happened with just one rod, but with four so far. When we ordered the rod for the first time, the feathers were nicely curved (which made them flutter beautifully when swinging back and forth), the rotating mechanism worked (so the line wouldn’t twist while the feathers fluttered in circles), and the rod even lasted through several rounds. What happened? At this point, I would advise against buying it; the value no longer matches the price.

Short-lived fun
The fishing rod was quickly accepted by my older tomcats. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to what the price suggests. The feathers on the rod are very poorly made, so the rod was no longer usable after at most two play sessions. Therefore, only recommended at a discounted price!

Super, but breaks quickly
This fishing rod is very appealing, and my two Birmans are not easily impressed, but they just can't resist this rod. Must be because of the bird feathers...
Unfortunately, it breaks quite quickly, especially when the cats "bite down" on the feathers and try to secure their prey. Pulling then causes the attachment to the cord to tear out of the heat shrink tubing.
The only option left is to let go of the rod and carefully remove the feathers from their mouths by hand.

For the fun factor, actually 5 stars
The deductions are because:
– the item broke after exactly 2 days (which is still bearable), and
– the fun of playing is ruined when you have to stop every 15 seconds (and that's being generous!) to "untangle" the cord or spring assembly/rod again. The spring part seems to always twist in the same direction during "flying," causing the cord to bunch up and get shorter and shorter.
In the end, I spend more time fiddling with the item than the cat does.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this here yet?
I'm already using the second one, and it's exactly the same.

Well
The toy is absolutely brilliant in terms of design, my two little tiger-lillies were completely obsessed with it, but this toy is not suitable for cats. It lasted about an hour, and my wand was completely dismantled, with feathers flying everywhere, and the wand was beyond repair. Really, really disappointing. My kittens are very sad, and I’m annoyed about the money.

The real hit though...
Let me start by saying: our cats went absolutely crazy for it; no surprise really, as they occasionally bring us a real bird into the house ;-(( So, top marks for that!!! Unfortunately, the feathers are very poorly attached, so the fun didn’t last long at all. It wasn’t possible to fix them securely either. Great idea, but better craftsmanship would be appreciated – if that’s even possible at this price point.

Highly recommended!
A brilliant toy. I was in the garden with the two panthers where there's plenty of space to play. They just couldn't get enough of it. Simply brilliant!

Highly recommended for every pet!
Our three cats (2 Norwegian Forest Cats + 1 regular) absolutely love the feather wand =)
It has a great range, which means lots of crashes into the wall ;)
Our big one even managed to pull the feather off completely, but fixing it is super easy. Brilliant product!!

Great activity
Our cat family thinks this item is great, even the lazy tomcat can be motivated with it.

Super piece of kit!
Well, my cats absolutely love this wand toy. Even my tomcat, who usually just lazes around in the corner, jumps and runs to catch it. If you spin it a bit slower, it sounds like the flapping wings of a bird. However, only 4 out of 5 stars: after 3 days, the wand was completely taken apart. I'm now ordering 3 more pieces ;))

Super
What fun! Even my nearly 7-year-old, rather lazy tomcat turns into a hunter.
Brilliant toy, sturdy and with a nice sound. Top!

Fun for everyone
I'm thrilled! I accidentally bought the three-pack and ended up with extras, which I was able to give away... just brilliant! The natural hunting and play instinct is so stimulated that I can't stop playing... it's the same with my friends' cats! For the price, it's simply a fantastic thing... I can only recommend it!

Great fun
My cats go absolutely crazy for this toy and chase it around like mad. They don’t react like this to any other toy. The feathers spin when you move them back and forth, which means you occasionally have to untangle the string. I don’t mind though – it’s a good opportunity for the furry ones to take a break. Like with other toys, you shouldn’t leave your cat alone with it to avoid it getting torn apart or swallowed. I always store it in a cupboard and leave it there for a few days, which keeps the excitement really high when I bring it out again. I can only recommend it!

Beautifully animated, but unfortunately very poorly made.
Our tomcat is only 5 months old, but unfortunately, the fishing rod only lasted 20 minutes before all the feathers came off :-( He had a lot of fun with it, but as mentioned, the playtime was very short due to the quality... really such a shame.

Life in the Pad
What haven’t I already ordered for my three furry friends to play with...
Yesterday, the next toy arrived – the cat wand. And what happens when I wave it back and forth? A frenzy of chasing and jumping around the house, so I make sure to clear more space just in case, so the kitties don’t hurt themselves. It’s bound to become and remain their favourite toy.

It's a shame, but not really safe for indoor cats!
My Maine Coon tomcat immediately went for it. TOTALLY BRILLIANT - BUT!!!
After 5 minutes, the first wand was destroyed!!!
Thank goodness he didn’t swallow the metal parts!!!
Tape over/against the metal parts!!! Potential hazard, despite supervision!!!
Please IMPROVE the product!!!

The absolute favourite toy!
Our two cats absolutely love this wand toy. No other toy gets them so wildly excited and enthusiastic together. This feather wand seems to really spark their hunting instincts: when one of the cats catches the wand, it’s immediately dragged off as prey to be chewed on somewhere else or played with alone. With so much playfulness, the feathers usually only last a day on the wand, but the cats keep playing with the individual feathers for days afterwards – or we just use the wand without feathers, which also keeps the cats active and moving.

Super!
Simply brilliant, we’ve bought the fishing rod for the second time! Thanks to the manufacturer for addressing the issue of the line constantly getting tangled! The new solution with a swivel connector is perfect!
My cat always looks in the direction where the rod is lying when it’s not in use! :D
