Makes tired cats lively...
Our cat hardly ever gets excited about a toy, but this wand is truly a hit in our home. As already mentioned, there's jumping, flying, and stalking like never before. The only downside: once Milka catches her prey, we need a new wand... the durability leaves something to be desired.
Conclusion: Absolutely brilliant!

Lots of fun to play, but breaks quickly
Both of mine love the wand, but after playing with it 2-3 times, the feathers fall out, and constantly buying replacement feathers isn’t really the solution in my opinion.

My cats are thrilled
For us, this is the best toy we've ever had. It really looks like a bird flying through the flat. I've never seen my cats jump like this before :-) It's now a must-have with every order for us.

Super fun
This toy really triggers the hunting instinct, so it gets chewed on quite a lot when caught. You need to be careful, otherwise it’ll be ruined in no time (though the same would happen with other fishing rod toys that are just as popular). If you’re careful, both you and your cat will have loads of fun with it.

High fun factor without taking too long
I can only agree, the cats loved this wand, but unfortunately only for 2 days as the feathers completely came off – even though I reinforced the attachment with extra tape.
And for just 20 minutes of playtime, even a few euros are sadly too much.

Well,
So, the chance of the fishing rod holding up is 50-50! I've now bought five, and most of them gave out right after the first use, but one has lasted for 4 weeks so far. The fun factor for the cats is great, though, which is why I keep buying replacements and repairing the broken rods anyway.

Unfortunately, broke quickly.
This fishing rod is indeed very cheap at (currently) £5.99 for 3 pieces – but accordingly, it’s rather poorly made.
I have two kittens who, at just 3 ½ months old, managed to tear this thing apart within 15 minutes – the feathers simply come loose from the attachment.
I quickly fixed it by sticking it back together with gaffer tape – now it lasts much longer.
The fact that the rod can be dismantled into two parts isn’t entirely advantageous either. With the first rod, I had to fiddle around with scissors to get the second part of the rod into the designated hole – once it was in, it was pretty tight. With the other rods, this was much easier, but the result was that my kittens managed to pull the rods apart and then ran off with the "prey". Maybe my two are just stronger than other cats? ;-)

He's supposed to be 7 years old?? ;)
I bought the fishing rod toy for the little cat, and well, the big cat (7 years old) suddenly went wild, doing somersaults in the air. The little one loved it too, but the big one hasn’t been this energetic in years. He just won’t stop hunting and jumping... and when he gets hold of the feathers, he won’t let go of them anymore... just brilliant!!!
One downside is that the feathers come off so quickly...

Cat Teaser Bird
Unfortunately, the Bird Cat Wand was only a short-lived pleasure, as it lost ALL its feathers after just 5 minutes of play with my tomcat. We've now bought the Feather Dancer Cat Wand as a replacement. Although it's a few euros more expensive, it still looks as good as new even after 2 months of intense use.

Lovely toy, ...
But unfortunately, not very sturdy. After a few games, the feathers came loose. Still, it brought joy to my two kitties.

Highly recommended ...
I think this item is brilliant, and my two Birman boys absolutely love it. When one cat is worn out, the other starts jumping up and catching it, and they keep going tirelessly. Simply fantastic – I had to order the three-piece set straight away!

Great
Thanks to the fishing rod, my lazy house cat has turned into a cat that brings me the rod when she wants to play :-))) Just a fantastic toy that was gladly accepted!

Super!!!!
I thought we’d hit the jackpot with the CatDancer for our cat, but this cat wand has exceeded our expectations. We had no idea how fast our little house tiger could be! In terms of keeping them entertained, this thing is top-notch!!!
Unfortunately, I have to criticise the workmanship. Our "velvet" paw had already taken it apart after just a week. The feather tore off the string. We’ve temporarily fixed it with tape. That’ll do for a few days until the new delivery arrives ;-)

15 minutes of fun gameplay
Well, I also have the real "Da Bird," and since there hasn’t been a feather left on the attachment after over a year, I thought I’d give this cheap wand a try. My three cats are skilled hunters ;) Within 15 minutes, the wand gave up—first, the attachment tore off, so I tried threading the string through the rubber end... but then my little one had the "bird" in her mouth, and all the feathers fell off at once. So, I guess I’ll just buy the attachment for the real "Da Bird" again.

Great play equipment, but poor workmanship – here's a little trick that might catch on in production.
The toy itself is absolutely amazing (actually worth 5 stars)! 😍
After my two young tomcats had slowly explored the entire flat and had pretty much exhausted playing with foil, milk cartons, pompoms, mice, and jingly balls, I urgently needed to find a new activity for them. Otherwise, they’d start getting up to all sorts of mischief – and what one doesn’t know, the other teaches him! 🙈
I unpacked the wand toy and hadn’t even properly untangled it when they were already jumping at it... In short, they were instantly obsessed with the crow-like flying thing. To catch it, they even jumped over each other, developed incredible speed, reached unbelievable heights, and even growled threateningly at each other when they finally "caught their prey" (and this despite the fact that the two brothers absolutely adore each other).
After less than half an hour, the two were so exhausted that they were panting! (I’d only ever seen that with dogs before) and sitting on the floor whining because, although they wanted to keep catching the "bird," they were simply done and couldn’t go on anymore...
Unfortunately, though, the first feather came loose quite quickly for us, and shortly after, the entire bundle of feathers was shredded – game over.
We then took the less (or not at all) noticed feather wand (which had already snapped in half after a short time), broke it off completely at the front, and checked what was underneath the rubber seal. Strangely enough, the feathers there are shorter but don’t break as quickly.
The solution?! Under the "seal," there’s a bunch of feathers glued together with hot glue, which we then tied the string from the broken wand to. After sliding the rubber seal back over it – voilà, a new, functional, and more durable wand!
The problem for us, however, is still that Tigger and Nero prefer playing with "the black crow" – meaning the dark and especially long feathers. (So, I’ve decided to buy new feathers from a craft shop and rework the hot glue and rubber seal technique again. What wouldn’t we do for our beloved pets, right? 😅)
Still, I think this little trick might help other disappointed owners and prevent the wand from being written off too quickly. It shouldn’t be too much trouble for the manufacturer either to adopt the feather wand’s design instead of the elaborate metal attachment (which, as mentioned, doesn’t last as long and tends to annoy customers).
Nevertheless, it remains my boys’ favourite toy – as long as the feather supply is secured! 😄

The best toy ever!
Our tomcat is absolutely crazy about the feathers and the sound they make. He leaps over tables and benches to get to the "bird." The rod and the feathers are impressively durable – he’s destroyed other play rods almost immediately, unfortunately.
Pure feline happiness for our indoor tiger, 5 stars!

Fun for everyone!
Our two tigers are absolutely crazy about these fishing rods. Especially the sound the feather makes when it flies through the air drives them wild. Highly recommended!!! I never knew until now that the little ones could jump soooo high and fast :)

Simply brilliant, stocking up is recommended.
This toy is very popular with my furry friends, so I always buy it in advance. Every now and then, the prey gets dismantled.
Whenever I’m looking for a cat, all I have to do is pick up the Bird Angel, and all the cats are ready to play.

What a shame, really.
What a shame, my cats go absolutely crazy for this wand, but after playing with it twice, all the feathers had already come out of the holder. They can’t really be fixed back in. So it broke straight away, which is why I don’t like it very much, unfortunately.

A little something to criticise
My enthusiasm from 23/11/11 unfortunately has to be toned down. Although my three furry friends still enjoy playing with it, I often have to untangle the string. The attachment of the feathers isn't entirely safe, so I’ve wrapped them up myself.
Even though the price is more than reasonable, when it comes to toys, attention should always be paid to the quality of workmanship.
