Cat was interested in toy but unfortunately after it being not used for a few months, and then use it again, they feathers were just breaking down when the cat would play with it... I saw black pieces suddenly hanging in his fur. Not great quality IMO; have another feather toy that has gone through way more and this never happened.

The fishing rod used to be much, much better. There used to be a small metal chain part attached, and the line didn’t always get tangled. Now it’s barely usable.

The cord twists constantly and after a short time is only 5 cm long... making it absolutely unusable. When I buy a product, I don’t want to have to buy an additional accessory; I want it to work as it is. Not well thought out, sorry.

I loved this fishing rod, and so did my cats, but the last one was made differently. The string gets tangled all the time. Everything twists, and the feather no longer swings as easily because of the fancy carabiner (which is well-intentioned but not well thought out). I spend more time untangling than playing. On top of that, the pole keeps falling apart. It’s just no fun to play with anymore.

Unfortunately, the fishing rod didn’t last an hour; the feathers were torn off during the very first play. But yes, the cat went absolutely wild for it. It really felt like prey to him—when he had the feathers in his paws, he growled loudly to let his siblings know, “This is mine, not for you!” 🐱

Actually a great fishing rod, but some genius wrapped the line so tightly around the rod that it keeps curling up again and again! Such a shame.

My British Shorthair tomcat (4 years old) absolutely loves this toy wand. I have others too, but with none of them does he go as wild or get as excited as he does with this one. 😅 The feathers are also very well made, and despite biting, chewing, etc., everything stays intact and doesn’t fall apart. Of course, only under supervision, as I know my little darling. 🙈 Otherwise, he’d completely devour the feathers. 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

Every other toy is ignored as soon as this fishing rod catches the eye. The springy properties of the rod and the string are fantastic. Nothing gets tangled for me. The only downside is that the feathers fall off too quickly. Playing with it every day for a week should be something any fishing rod can easily handle without components falling apart...

Both my 7-month-olds love this, and one ADORES it. It is the best way to work out his excess teenage energy, I just wish the feather end was sold separately. Each one lasts about two weeks — well worth repeat buying but the pile of disused plastic sticks is not environmentally friendly.

No word of a lie this toy broke within seconds of my young cat playing with it. 3 of the 4 feathers fell off. Length of stick is good.

I was sceptical, mainly because the strings get tangled and end up being very short. I think this makes the flight behaviour of the feathers particularly interesting. No matter how great the other toys we have are, when this wand comes out, everything else is forgotten. I initially bought three (Dec 2021), gave one away, and one eventually broke. The last wand has been in use for 1.5 years, and my cats absolutely love it.

I have a 15 week old BSH and she loves this toy, I would rate it as one of the best toys I have bought her! She goes absolutely nuts for it when I bring it out and is still intact! I really recommend this toy, not only because it is affordable, but my kitten loves it and allows her to keep active.

These fishing rods used to be a big hit with my cats for a long time – but recently, the string keeps twisting permanently and shortening to the point where it’s only about 5cm long, making play almost impossible. Untangling it is hardly successful and quite frustrating. On top of that, the assembled rod falls apart quickly. When the rod first arrived in this "unplayable" state, I thought, "Hey, maybe it’s just a bad production week," but they’re all this bad.

Our cats have always loved this wand and played with it a lot. However, for some time now, since the price has skyrocketed, unfortunately, the quality has declined. It doesn’t take long before the feathers start falling off.

Always goes down well. Since recently the feather pendant has been attached with a clip, I’m wondering when it will be possible to buy the pendant with the feathers on its own. That would be something, wouldn’t it?

Liked the price compared to pets shops where its 8 pounds, but this particular model tangles a lot and you end up with knots very quickly. Bought 10 as thought it would be a bargain , cats loved them, but I do not like the design as much

Unfortunately, the design of the play fishing rod has been changed, making it unusable. Thankfully, there was a comment from "Bettina" (many thanks at this point). She gave the tip to buy a "SWIVEL FROM FISHING SUPPLIES" (comment further down). I followed her advice, and now the rod is ready for use again. However, the old solution was still a bit better.

This fishing rod was the best toy. However, the new version is completely useless and should no longer be sold. The line gets tangled within seconds, and the rod becomes unusable. Such a shame! I can't understand how a product can be made so much worse in the name of improvement.

This becomes unusable after just two swings because the string gets so tangled that you can’t play with it anymore. Since the feathers seem heavier than in the old version, I think that might be the reason. Really a shame, my cat was crazy about the toy.

The band curls up so much that after a short time you have to painstakingly untangle everything again. Wouldn't buy the rod again.
