I've gone through a lot of different cat litters, but unfortunately, everything except Öko Plus was a complete failure. All those bentonite granule types were a disaster, but even Öko Plus became a nuisance because it's so lightweight and caused dirt and dust all over the flat. Sweeping through the flat twice a day was barely enough. But now, with Cat's Best Nature Gold, it's absolutely top-notch! With a proper mat in front of the litter box, there's practically NOTHING scattered around the flat. At the moment, I have three cats here, including a foster cat – an European Shorthair, a British Shorthair, and a Van cat. If they happen to bring out maybe three pellets per toilet visit, that's already a lot. No dust, no mess, sweeping every 2-3 days is enough, and since the pellets are quite large and only a few get carried out, you can easily pick them up directly.
However, one thing to note is that Cat's Best Nature Gold has a very high consumption rate. My British Shorthair likes it piled up quite high, and while 40L of Öko Plus lasted a good five weeks, I only managed two weeks with two bags of Cat's Best Nature Gold. That's pretty intense! Still, despite the high consumption, the litter is absolutely worth it – less work and no "beach feeling" all over the flat.

For large and multiple cats - just brilliant!!!!
I have 6 cats, both short-haired and long-haired. For years, I’ve been using Cat’s Best Öko Plus. I don’t like bentonite litter and find that (especially with multiple cats) it starts to smell quickly.
Wood is something you have to like, as it has its own scent. Cat’s Best is great, but the Maine Coons tend to carry it out of the litter box (as it gets stuck between their toes).
I’ve now tested Cat’s Best Nature Gold litter for a week and find it a real improvement for my multi-cat household! It forms fantastic clumps (just like Öko Plus!!) and not larger ones at all (as some people here claim).
My big cats carry much less of this litter out of the box, which alone earns it 100 points! ;-)
The only thing to keep in mind is that you should have a litter scoop with large holes (hole size 1.5 cm x 0.5 cm) so the small pellets can fall through.

Simply awful, had to replace it after just one week!
Based on the many positive reviews of this product, I decided to give it a try, as my previously always-used product "Thomas Klumpstreu" has not yet been added to the Zooplus range, and I wanted to save myself the trip to a local supplier and the hassle of carrying the litter.
I cannot recommend Cat's Best Nature Gold clumping litter for the following reasons:
1. After the cat has used the toilet, everything smells strongly of the cat's business as well as the strange odour of the litter itself.
2. When the clumps are removed, the amount of litter left in the toilet decreases significantly, meaning it constantly needs to be topped up.
3. The litter not only spreads around the litter box but, due to its texture, gets carried throughout the entire flat as it sticks to the cat's fur and paws.
4. Even if you add a fragrance to the litter, the inherent smell remains. It’s unpleasant, and every visitor immediately notices that a cat lives in the flat.

An absolute must have!
I have used this product from day one with my beautiful Burmilla. It was recommended by my friend and breeder. As a kitten she had no trouble using it what so ever and now at 4 years old she'd be miffed if I changed to something else. But why would I? No smell, clumps beautifully and easy to flush away. Very, very little mess. My experience is it works out cheaper in the long run and I have recommended it to friends who say, although more expensive than some litter products intially, they are saving money now as it doesn't need changing so often and lasts longer. The majority of people give this product the thumbs up. Give it a try and if it's not for you swap back!

Finally, something sensible.
We have two cats and have already tried many products. Cat's Best is really great – it clumps perfectly, doesn’t smell, and doesn’t get tracked out of the litter box.
The best I’ve found so far!
Unfortunately, it’s a bit pricey, but I managed to make a large bag last for a month.

best by far
i have tried almost every litter on sale and this is by far the best,. with six house cats the tray is always in use it only needs one full change a week and the smell is nil because all waste gets removed, as it clumps so easily a little bit off tracking but only a couple of feet around the tray and easily swept up seems expensive but as you only need one change a week isint really. will keep buying as long as stocked. thanks

The best of all!!!!!
I’ve tried many types of litter and have to say that THIS litter is the best of them all and really deserves 6 stars. Brilliant litter, doesn’t smell, doesn’t get spread around the house, and the clumps are much bigger compared to other clumping litters. Perfect for long-haired cats!!!

Does the job!
I switched over to Nature Gold from Catsan Hygiene as it seemed kitties don't like the idea of wee staying in their box! Haven't had any accidents in the house since switching and it's great not having to do a complete litter change twice a week. I have , however, had to purchase a big Catit litter scoop as the clumps are absolutely huge! Shame as I think a lot of litter is wasted due to the size of the clumps. The clumps seem to crumble a bit sometimes as well. The odour control isn't as good as Catsan Hygiene, but a few strategically placed Neutradol room fresheners seems to have done the trick!

No smell, large clumps
Good litter, doesn't smell, doesn't spread around the flat, but the clumps are really large compared to other clumping litters.

The best of all
Hello dear Zooplus team, and a healthy and happy New Year to you all!!!!!!
I’ve tried many types of cat litter and I have to say that THIS litter is the best of all and really deserves a 6-star rating. It doesn’t stick to my cats (I have five, one of them is a Maine Coon)!!!! It doesn’t create dust, it doesn’t smell (if anything, it has a slight wood scent :-)...), it doesn’t stick to their paws, and nothing gets stuck to their tails (especially for long-haired cats). In other words, this litter stays in the bathroom and doesn’t end up all over the flat. Initially, there might be some issues as the cats might not want to use the litter box with this litter. That’s why you should (as I did) gradually mix it with the litter they’re used to. Works perfectly!!!! And as I said, I no longer have litter scattered all over the flat, and what annoyed me the most with other litters was the dust and the fact that my sofa was always covered in it.
Best regards,
Andrea Schülzge :-)))))) !!!!!!!!

Smell
If you buy clumping litter and then complain that it forms clumps that are too big, I find that rather questionable. The only thing I have to criticise is that it starts to smell very quickly. We clean the litter box every day, yet after half a day it already smells again. That’s a bit disappointing, so I’ll be ordering something else instead.

High consumption
Not only long-haired cats spread litter all over the house, so I decided to try this litter for my domestic shorthairs. Previously, I always used Cat's Best Öko Plus, which honestly required me to vacuum every single day. Cat's Best Nature Gold is definitely better in this regard. However, the clumps that form are massive, so when disposing of them via the household toilet, I have to flush them in 2-3 batches out of fear that the toilet might get clogged. And of course, due to the large clumps, the consumption is higher because you always have to top up quite a bit, which makes it more expensive. Neither of the two types of litter clumps perfectly. While the clumps do get harder the longer you wait, making them easier to remove, it still happens occasionally that they break apart or small pieces fall off, which are difficult to collect with the scoop. But I suppose the perfect clumping litter doesn’t exist—these two are already pretty good in comparison.

natures gold. really goldust
I have tried them all, believe me. From the most expensive to the cheapest. the oko is a simular products but the bits are so small my kittens chuck it up in the air and it get everywhere even in
their coats. I have gone back to this. The pieces are easy to pick up. The kittens dont seem to regard this as chucking up in the air stuff, and the odour control and clumping are really good. Could afford to come down in price a bit, but apart from that i will definately stick to this produce.

Not suitable for long-haired individuals
I tried the litter but can't confirm that it's particularly suitable for long-haired cats (Persians), as it gets spread all over the flat and ends up everywhere in their fur. I'll have to try something new.

Not as good as Cat's Best Öko Plus cat litter
Since we also have two Persians, I thought we'd give Best Nature Gold a try. However, I find Cat's Best Öko Plus cat litter better in terms of odour control. With this one, the clumps are really large and harder to sift out. I'm more convinced by Cat's Best Öko Plus cat litter and will go back to using it.

Totally satisfied!
We previously used the crystallising litter and were quite satisfied with it, but this one is absolutely brilliant! No unpleasant odours, easy to dispose of (we still use the green bin), very economical, and hardly any spreading around the house. And that’s despite our Mika having so much fur under his paws. With the 5-litre trial pack from the Heim & Tier fair, we managed to make it last for 6 weeks!

Poor clumping... expected more
The clumping is very poor. The moisture spreads over a large area, meaning you often have to dispose of the briquettes, which leads to higher consumption!
On the plus side, the litter doesn’t get stuck in the fur of our Persians.

Simply brilliant
I’ve tried many types of litter, but this one is the best!!!! The odour control is top-notch, and if there’s enough litter in the cat tray, it clumps beautifully and doesn’t fall apart when scooping it out..... The sand effect is still present with this product, but it’s the least noticeable compared to everything else I’ve tried.....

Not recommended
I just wanted to try something different from Cat's Best Öko Plus and I’m very disappointed. The only good thing about this litter is that it doesn’t get spread all over the flat, as the individual pellets are quite large. The urine forms huge clumps that fall apart when you try to remove them. This means you can’t scoop out the entire clump, which leads to odour build-up. Then it constantly needs topping up because there’s hardly anything left in the tray. My Litter Locker is full after disposing of clumps three times, which also means a high consumption of the expensive bin bags.

Big (in both senses) disappointment
I wish I'd read all the reviews because I completely agree with Fran. Big Disappointment One = the pellets are HUGE and my three large and very long haired Maine Coons are either unable to bury their poo and so leave it (where it smells) or in the case of one of them, go crazy trying to bury it and throw litter all over the kitchen floor. Big Disappointment Two = the stuff is so big that it is impossible to use even a large slatted scoop without being able to seperate used and unused litter, so much is wasted. Back to World's Best for me for house litter.
