There's nothing to complain about.
We have 6 cats, 5 of which are long-haired (Coonies or 1 Coonie mix), and in our home, the cats don’t track anything through the flat. There’s always a bit of litter in front of the litter boxes, but I suppose that’s something you can never fully avoid.
At first, the litter was met with a bit of scepticism—after all, they were used to fine bentonite litter... but after a short adjustment period, the litter was accepted.
To be honest, I can’t understand the negative reviews here. Maybe there wasn’t enough litter in the box? We’ve tried a lot of different options, and I’m very particular when it comes to the quality of litter.
- The litter doesn’t produce dust
- There’s no smell
- The litter clumps well
- It’s also very economical
- And you can dispose of the clumps via the toilet.
What more could you want?

Is being ignored!
I was really looking forward to this litter because I have Persian cats, and the regular eco-litter gets tracked all over the apartment by their paws. Unfortunately, this litter also sticks to their paws and ends up scattered on the floor. However, this happens very rarely because this toilet is avoided by almost all the cats and is only used very occasionally. I have the large Gimpet toilet and noticed that it’s quite loud when they scratch around in it. The cats don’t like that either. Additionally, the clumps, when they do form, can’t be removed with every type of litter scoop. So, we’re sticking with Golden Grey Master!!!

Doesn't deliver what it promises
I would advise all cat parents against using this litter.
1. So much for "it doesn’t stick to the fur"! My three Coonies happily carried it all over the flat.
2. The poo can’t be properly and fully covered anymore due to the relatively large pellets. The "air holes" around the poo make it stink terribly.
3. My cats dig quite a lot, and it often happens that they dig all the way down to the bottom of the litter box before peeing. The litter on top clumps well, and you can remove the pee. BUT: during the weekly deep clean of the litter box, I noticed that everywhere the pee mixed with the litter and touched the bottom of the box, slimy patches had formed. These can only be removed with extreme scrubbing using a scouring sponge!
ABSOLUTELY NOT recommended!!

What a waste of Euros.
My Maine Coon tomcat preferred to do his business outside his "poop temple." I had to throw everything away, replaced it with Extreme Classic, and lo and behold, he's using his litter box again. The smell takes some getting used to, and it clumps poorly.

It's simply brilliant.
I’m thrilled! It hardly creates any dust, there’s no smell, it barely scatters – simply perfect. The clumps are very easy to remove and don’t fall apart. I’ll stick with it.

Very disappointing :-(((
After reading the many positive reviews of CBÖP, I decided to buy this litter because we have two long-haired kittens, and the Gold litter supposedly doesn’t stick to their fur as easily...
Reasons for purchase:
1) The practical disposal option via the toilet/bin
2) The feeling of offering our furry friends a natural product
3) Using a litter that is economical, clumps well, and binds odours effectively.
Based on all the positive reviews, this litter was supposed to meet these criteria.
Unfortunately, we’ve noticed that this isn’t the case—or are we just too picky when it comes to odours?
Reasons why this litter only gets one star:
1) I cleaned the litter box (Gimpet de Luxe, with carbon filter and flap, shared by both kittens) every time before I used the toilet myself, and as instructed, I disposed of the clumped litter or faeces directly by flushing. So the litter box was always clean. However, since the pellets aren’t round, they clumped somewhat but also formed many pellets that couldn’t be scooped out and smelled quite unpleasant. The faeces, despite the carbon filter and flap on the box, had to be removed immediately because they smelled really strong. After just 2–3 days, the litter overall smelled of ammonia, which is very poor compared to other brands we’ve used.
2) The pellets, which according to the manufacturer’s advertising aren’t supposed to be carried out of the box, were still dragged all over the flat despite having a mat in front of the box. We have laminate flooring, so everything spreads particularly well. I vacuum twice a day because of the cats’ long fur, which flies around in clumps when they’re playing ;-) and yet I constantly found pellets in the hallway, living room, and even the kitchen.
3) My husband, who is a gas and water installer, wasn’t thrilled about the toilet disposal aspect. And indeed: After 4 days, you could see deposits from the litter forming at the bottom of the toilet’s HT bend, which could only be removed with a measuring stick or something similar. But who wants to scrape around deep in the toilet once a week? Since I flushed small amounts throughout the day, this isn’t ideal either. I think disposing of the litter via the toilet should be more of an exception, even for smaller clumps, and you’ll likely have to rely on the bin instead. However, since the litter doesn’t bind odours well, this means you’ll need multiple biodegradable bags per day or frequent trips to the bin.
4) As mentioned, I found the smell unbearable after 2–3 days, so if you’re a bit more particular, this litter isn’t very economical either, as you’ll need to replace parts of the litter more often.
The only positive aspect for me is that this litter doesn’t irritate my furry friends’ airways much. However, this is also true for other brands.
Conclusion: Overall, a disappointing performance. In comparison, even the cheap Thomsen litter from the discount store is better in terms of odour. My favourite: Biokats Fresh by Gimpet.

I bought this litter hoping it wouldn't be as dusty as the regular CBÖP, and I have to say, it's fantastic.
My cats didn't immediately take to it—they were hesitant to use the litter box since they were used to fine bentonite litter—but the odour control and clumping are excellent.
It hardly produces any dust and doesn't get tracked out of the litter box.
I can only recommend it.
I'll stick with it.

So far, the best litter
Hello everyone,
With my two Persians, I’ve tried so many different products, but Cats Best Nature Gold beats them all!
It doesn’t get carried around the house anymore – I really don’t find anything anywhere!
I can’t detect any unpleasant odour, and the consumption is much more economical compared to others.
I used to use Extreme Classic.
I can only recommend this litter!

I'm satisfied
I’ve always been convinced by Golden Grey Master. The only thing that bothered me was how the litter spread around the house. Even across two floors, the litter could be found everywhere.
Now that our waste is being weighed, I switched to Cat's Best Öko Plus and was quite satisfied. The litter spreads here too, but I don’t find it as unpleasant as with bentonite litter. However, after 2.5 weeks, it started to smell strongly (one litter box, two cats, cleaned twice daily). For the past four days, I’ve been using Cat's Best Nature Gold, and almost no litter is being spread around the house, not even around the litter box.
Let’s see how it goes with odour control. If it’s not better than CBÖP, I’ll switch back because of the price.

A fantastic litter
I’ve been waiting a long time for this litter. It clumps well, and most importantly, it hardly sticks to the fur or gets carried around the flat. The odour control is especially good. (3 cats, 2 litter boxes) Unlike Extreme Classic or similar litter, which starts to smell awful after just two days.

Well, okay.
My cats accepted it straight away, it clumps well, and the smell—or rather the lack of smell—is spot on.
However, just as much gets scattered around, and these pellets are much heavier and harder to vacuum up or sweep together compared to the regular CBÖP, because the pellets are "round" and roll away on smooth surfaces.
For that, it's too expensive for me.
In the future, I'll go back to ordering the regular CBÖP.

Well, it's alright.
This litter unfortunately doesn’t live up to its promises. With my four cats, it sticks to their fur, and the smell, even though I clean twice a day, leaves much to be desired. However, it does clump really well.

It's a fantastic litter, especially for long-haired cats!
My Persian cat no longer spreads it all over the flat, and it clumps brilliantly! .O)
