Cat's Best litter has been a favorite for its excellent clumping, odor control, and minimal tracking. Recently, however, users have noticed a decline in quality, with smaller, dustier pellets that crumble and don't clump as effectively, leading to more mess and odor. Despite this, some users still appreciate its odorless nature and ease of cleaning. Many are disappointed and considering switching brands, but others remain loyal due to past satisfaction.

Game changer
I was sceptical about the stated yield, but appearances can be deceiving – a large bag easily lasts me over 20 days with two tomcats (not outdoor cats!). The price is absolutely fine, the odour control is excellent, and the best part – my long-haired cats no longer drag litter all over the flat!

Quality has deteriorated
Since my order in July 2024, the quality of the cat litter has deteriorated. The pellets are darker and crumble easily. There's also a lot of powder (crumbled pellets) in the bag. It smells unpleasant even when dry, no longer as woody as it used to. I won't be ordering again for the time being.

Cat's Best Smart Pellets
The pellets are brilliant. We have two Persian/Siberian Forest Cat mixes with tufts of fur between their claws. Normal cat litter ends up all over the flat. This one gets scattered too, but much less, and it’s easy to sweep up and put back in the tray...
For our two indoor cats, we need two bags every 15 weeks. We’re pleasantly surprised at how economical it is. We’ve tried all kinds of organic compostable litter pellets. AND you can dispose of it via the toilet – perfect!

I use this cat litter for many years as it really was the best especially for clumping but very disappointed in the last few months as this litter has stopped clumping like it should I have emailed Cat itself to see what’s happened if there’s been some change in it and will definitely be considering using something else. I have three indoor cats and usually buy, at least two bags a month but on the last note will say zoo plus is fantastic !

Simply brilliant!
I ordered for the first time and was very sceptical because of the 1-star reviews. I have two long-haired cats and can say that they accepted it straight away, and the flat is no longer full of litter. It’s absolutely manageable! It clumps really well and is economical. Compared to my previous bentonite litter, I haven’t noticed any dust so far. There is one downside: they no longer cover up their big business. But oh well... scoop it up and off to the toilet. Brilliant!

REALLY 5 STAR
Very little tracking and excellent clumping

Highly recommended
Before switching to this product, I used Cats Best cat litter. My tomcat is very active in his litter box, so a lot of litter ended up outside and stuck to his paws. Thanks to Cats Best pellets, this is now a thing of the past. He can still be as active as he likes when it comes to doing his business, but the pellets stay in the litter box, and his paws remain free of litter residue. Stored in a large plastic bin, it's ideal for keeping the supply organised.

drop of quality
used to like this litter a lot - natural, relatively affordable, not dusty. However, I noticed the quality has significantly dropped in my recent orders. It doesn't clump as nicely as before and sometimes clump so loosely that its un-scoop-able. Very disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised
We used the regular Cat's Best for a long time and were very happy with it – the only annoying thing was the high scatter factor.
These pellets are a bit smoother and heavier. There are still some right in front of the litter box, but they’re easy to sweep up. So far, nothing has turned up on furniture or in other rooms, so I’m very satisfied.
Unfortunately, they’re less efficient and a bit more expensive. Overall, though, it’s worth it to me.

Actually good, but...
I’ve been using Cat’s Best for a long time. I used to use the regular version, but now I use the pellets. They’re actually perfect—if only every pack weren’t different. Sometimes the pellets are so small and dusty, other times they’re just right. With the last pack, the pellets were far too long. When cleaning out the clumps, almost half the litter tray ends up empty because the pellets don’t fall through the scoop. For the high price, the quality really should be consistent!!!

Horrendous
By far the worst cat litter I’ve ever bought in my 20 years.
It’s expensive and, even worse, it creates an extreme amount of mess.
What I can’t understand is that a very similar cat litter, "Cat's Best Universal," is the complete opposite. Cheap and doesn’t make a mess.
So from now on, I’ll only be buying that.

Falls apart
Unfortunately, the pellets fall apart quickly.
It used to be much better!!!

Less scattered litter
It’s more expensive, but there’s a lot less cat litter scattered around. I also think it smells less strong. :)

Smart Pellets Cat Litter
I was looking for a cat litter that doesn’t get spread all over the flat. This is true for the pellets. Occasionally, you’ll find one in the flat, but nowhere near as much as with regular clumping litter. Another positive is the weight.
However, my cats aren’t thrilled with it, despite a slow transition. They no longer bury their big business, which naturally ends up smelling quite a bit. Cleaning with the scoop isn’t that easy either. Such a shame.

Terrible
The worst thing I’ve ever tried. The whole flat is covered in pellet bits.

Good
The pellets are highly absorbent and don't get scattered as much. However, it's noticeably harder to sift out the droppings with the scoop.

I'm very satisfied, no more litter in the flat.
I initially had litter from a discount store. It was heavy and ended up scattered all over the flat. My sister recommended this one to me, and I’m thrilled. It’s lighter in weight but has more volume, making it much easier to dispose of. And the best part? It doesn’t get spread all over the flat. My robot vacuum cleaner can easily remove it from around the cat litter box. It doesn’t stick to the container either. I only use this now. I recommend a very coarse sieve scoop and a small closed one.
