Royal Canin gastrointestinal dog food

Came across this food by accident at a vets visit as they were using it as a treat. My dog who doesn’t normally take food from anyone decided to try it and liked it. I ordered some from zooplus and all 6 of my French bulldogs love it. The first food I’ve come across that they all like.

Arrived very quickly, dog likes

My order arrived quickly and bags are vacuum packed. Compared to the small dog version, kibble size is bigger but still quite small. To make it bigger (eg for treat dispensers to alleviate boredom), I will easily be able to crush it down and mix it with water I think, and then let it dry out on a baking tray before breaking it up into bigger pieces. The low fat GI version was needed and that arrived. On the medical front we will have to see how she goes but dog is eating it. Smells nice.

Used as emergency food when upset stomachs arise

My frenchie was advised to take this for a few days when she had an upset stomach. She had lost her appetite too but she did eat this. It helps immediately and we also give her a probiotic paste. We then switched back to her regular food (Simpsons) but recently she's been advised to stay on this for 3-4 weeks and gradually reintroduce her old food.

Pricey but Excellent Low Fat Kibble

My cocker spaniel was very ill with IMHA, Pancreatitis and Jaundice. His vet recommended the Royal Canin Veterinary Canine Gastrointestinal Low Fat kibble to avoid pressure on his liver and pancreas. So far, so good; his coat has grown back beautifully glossy and thick and he is losing weight gained with the steroids he was taking. His recovery was down to excellent vet care and medication but I am sure the food helped too. It is in the form of small, non-greasy kibble and is gobbled quickly!

Good product

Very impressed with delivery speed and product was well packed.

Great

Fast delivery and perfect price

Cured

Cured my 8 year old OES sloopy poop problems . - it was the Vets idea.

older dog stomach is more sensitive and we have out him on royal canin - no moire loose poo - he is much bett

really pleased with this food he is 13 and has had problems with his stomach and loose poo - changed to this and in a few days is better. expensive but worth it and i will continue

Perfect for sensitive tummies

My whippet occasionally had loose poo and gas. Always used Royal Canin since she was a puppy. Swapped to their Gastro Intestinal as recommended by vet and never looked back. She is now a very healthy 9 year old but still looks and acts like a youngster.

Excellent kibble

Our 8 year old Tibetan Terrier has suffered twice now with acute pancreatitis. On vet’s advice we changed his Royal Canin kibble to this low fat Version. It’s very different, not greasy at all and lightweight. It disappears from his bowl in a flash and so far we’re as delighted with the product as our TT! A much happier dog now and although more expensive, well, he’s worth it.

Problems solved

This food has stopped all my dogs tummy problems. Bit pricey but worth it.

Palatable and healthy, does contain poultry

Put my new rescue dog straight on this as he had loose stools despite worm and giardia treatment. He loved it, and it made his coat shiny. It didn’t help firm up the stools though. On vet’s advice I switched him onto Royal Canin Hypoallergenic food and we had perfect poos within 24 hours. Not a criticism of the food - just that if you suspect a sensitivity, go straight to anallergenic. Zooplus were great and refunded the big bag of GI I bought. Use a puzzle feeder, kibble size is very small.

Best dry food for dogs with stomach problems

My westie has been on the Gastrointestinal biscuits for a very long time and since he has been on them his stomach issues have improved immensely and he’s overall very fit and well and has bundles of energy even though he’s 10 years old

Brilliant!!

This kibble is a life saver however the only thing I wasnt expecting was big kibble. For my little shitzu cross, she does not like big kibble if i knew beforehand i wouldnt have brought a big load. just to warn you before buying if your dog finds it hard to chew. i have tried soaking it down too but this did not work.

Excellent

My dog has been having this for 2 years now along with gastro intestinal wet food and her stomach problems have stopped

Zooplus

Excellent service, items always arrive quickly, in good condition and are competitively priced. Which in my book is perfection...

Keeps her healthy excellent

Good qaulity. Del good

Excellent dog food

My dogs love this food. After a long period of searching for a dog food that didnt give our whippets an upset stomach, we finally came across Royal Canin gastro intestinal which they tolerate very well. Our dogs are doing very well on it and one had actually now put on a bit oh weight as they were very thin whippets. Highly recommend, edpecially for dogs with dodgy tummies and it actually smells quite pleasant which is a bonus for dog owners too.

Beneficial Gastro intestinal

My vet recommended I keep my Border Collie on the gastrointestinal food and it has made a real difference. As well as the wet version for his main meal I now give him this dry version as a substitute for reduced treats. It is good to be able to give him something with a crunch!

Precision!

All perfect, fast shipping!
