Puppy and dog proof
This dog toy/ chew is the only and I mean the only chew toy left after our puppy and dog have played with it

Should be withdrawn
Was in pieces in less than 5 minutes. Thankfully I supervise my dog with anything like this & this could easily have caused a choke hazard or bowel blockage. I would urge anyone considering buying one not too.

Poor toy
Mine dog had the toy less than 3 mins and it was in pieces. Total waste of money, it should be withdrawn

Poor quality
My collie thought this was great - except he had it in pieces in less than ten minutes. Using superglue to fix the end pieces has extended its life but I'm not holding my breath as to how long it will last.

Hunter toothcleaner
This is the third purchased, used after every meal, loaded with food and then a smear of doggy toothpaste to aid tooth hygiene. Given with supervision and removed when you feel the teeth have been cleaned it should last at least 6 months. Given as a toy it will quickly be destroyed. We found it a great aid to clean and promote healthy gums and teeth.

Doesn't do what it says
Ordered this for my puppy English Setter. Lasted less than half a day. The little protruding bits started to come off and he was swallowing them. Really disappointed.

Destroyed in under 5 minutes
I bought one medium and one large toy for my greyhound but he chewed the end off the stalk in less than 5 minutes and the rings fell off. This could have been dangerous if he had been unsupervised and had swallowed any parts. In any event they were poor value doe money.

Dangerously not fit for use
Another chewing toy that would be better made out of chocolate. My 10 month bouvier had bitten the end off in 10 minutes and was starting to eat the rubber cogs. Useless.

Great toy
Dog loves it, keeps teeth clean. Novel to throw as it's shape makes for irregular bouncing and unpredictability. My dog (Shiba Inu) isn't one for toys much but he adores this.

Short life
This toy did not last five minutes. Chewed all the cogs off in one sitting.

unbelievably poor quality
My border collie destroyed it in a matter of a day. The toy smells funny and is assembled from parts that can be easily separated and eaten/swallowed by avid chewers. Not recommended. Very poor product from Hunter. Disappointed.

Not as hardy as it looks
Bought this to aid in cleaning my lab's teeth. Some of the pokey ends had been chewed off within 20 mins, and one of the outer rings came off within 24 hours of usage. Not hardy at all. Do not feel safe to let my lab chew this as I'm afraid while she is trying to clean her teeth, little bits will drop off and she may swallow it and cause an obstruction, which we do not want. Not buying this again.

dangerous and not fit for purpose
Hi, I bought 2 of these for my labradors for Christmas, they lasted all of 10 minutes! The end disc is only held on with glue and the nature of the toy means they can pry it off very easily whilst chewing. Once the cap is off they can then get all the discs off the central cylinder. The end cap is small enough to swallow but would get stuck in the intestines causing all sorts of problems including death if not discovered quickly enough. Luckily I keep a close eye! Please don't buy them!

such fun
This is a great toy for any dog/pup who love to chew. very well made and good value. Each ring moves making a unique feel in the dogs mouth. my 5 month old lab loves the small one.

Very poor quality
This toy is a total waist of money. My Springer demolished it in less than 10 minutes without any effort. Completely useless as a chewing toy, no chance that it can survive proper chewing.

Not destroyed yet
But only because he hasn't really been interested in this toy. He's picked it up and carried it around, and buried it in the garden, but he's not tried to chew it really. I'd like to be able to comment on it's tooth cleaning ability, but with next to no use I can't. He prefers his other toys.

Visible difference
My 2 year old Springers teeth were a mess with stains, plaque and tartar. My vet was warning of serious dental problems in the future. I bought him the large toy and he loved it from the moment he got it. It has been very well chewed and survived. 6 months on it is starting to lose the odd spike but given the amount of use it gets I'm not surprised nor am I worried about it. I will definitely replace it in the future. The best bit though is that the vast majority of the stains and plaque are gone and there is no tartar left at all. At his last vet check up they were delighted at the improvement.

My GSD loved this, until he tore it apart 20 minutes later
This toy advertises that it is ''Perfect for gnawing alone''. It took my 1 year old GSD 20 minutes to gnaw the end off and unhook all the cogs. He loved chewing on it and it has a pleasant smell too. Whilst I could tell he loved it, it would of been great if it was more robust as once the end has been chewed off, the rest of the toy becomes undone and is useless. Also, the label on the toy advises that you can put treats inside when you cannot. I've only given it 2 stars as, even though its been destroyed so quickly, my dog looked like he was really enjoying it.

Works like Magic
Got the large one for my 2 year old springer who, despite my best efforts, had badly discoloured teeth and some obvious tartar. He loves it , chews it constantly, sneaks it outside and chews it in preference to the sticks he'd usually gnaw. The difference to his teeth is amazing. I wish I had before and after pics to show the improvement. Most of the the discolouration and tartar are gone. My vet is very impressed. He's only used it for a few weeks so it's a bit early to comment on durability but looks good so far. If he does destroy it I'll have no hesitation in replacing it. It's far cheaper than a dental treatment.
