Highly recommended
It's party time when I play with my little ones using the fishing rod. They immediately start doing somersaults – they just love it!

like a bird
This fishing rod is brilliant! When I pull it upwards, the feathers spin, and my cats feel like a bird is flying away. They absolutely love the rod.

Extremely popular
The fishing rod is absolutely loved by my Nala. It's the only toy she ALWAYS plays with as soon as I take it out of the cupboard. It flies really well, and since the rod is so long, you can even stay seated on the sofa while playing ;-)

Good idea, unfortunately not very durable
My tomcat goes absolutely crazy for the feathers on the wand and the sounds they make. Unfortunately, the wand becomes unusable after about a week at the latest, as the little guy either chews on the tape holding the feathers to the wand or tugs at the feathers so much that the wand falls apart into pieces.
For the price, though, it's a great bit of fun for our little tomcat.

"Birds" for hunting
A fishing rod with an exceptionally long reach and a bundle of feathers that spins in the wind and flutters and buzzes like a real bird, thanks to a special type of suspension. The concept is actually quite simple, but the lifelike effect makes this rod a unique toy. Even outdoor cats who are familiar with real birds are thrilled!
However, my tomcat only gives it 4 stars: the feathers are quite large, making them too big as prey and sometimes even a bit intimidating. The length of the rod is a great feature on the one hand, but in a typical rented flat, it’s only usable to a limited extent. Still, it’s absolutely recommended for tiring out your cat.

No.1
So many fishing rods to choose from, and this one is always the number one for the two of them. The size/length is great, and the feathers really beautifully awaken their instincts. They can have a fantastic time playing with it.

Fun for cat and human
My sweet Lilly is absolutely crazy about this play wand. She could chase "Birdy" for hours on end. It's a shame, though, that the quality leaves something to be desired. My cat is a bit bigger and stronger, and quite a few wands haven’t lasted even 5 minutes. However, I used some tape, and that way I was able to extend its lifespan a little.

not sturdy enough
My Coons managed to destroy the wand within 2 minutes, meaning the feather tuft was torn apart. I've now tied a toy mouse to the end. It's not as exciting as the feathers – but it's still being used.

Long-time favourite
I’ve ordered this item several times already – now only in the multipack. Yes – it’s true. The feathers come off quickly. However, I’m starting to think that’s intentional. My two seem to enjoy playing with it even more without the feathers :) Thanks to the length of the feather wand, the range of motion is very large.

Loved by my cats
This fishing rod is simply brilliant. Quiet, yet so much fun.
Whenever I bring out this rod, all four are instantly on board.
The feathers do come off quickly for us, but that's no surprise. They get chewed on, dragged around the flat, and so on.
So, truly a fantastic toy for the cats.

Super fun, great price, but unfortunately broke quite quickly.
Our two tomcats just can’t get enough of the "Bird", but as soon as they’ve succeeded and want to "make off" with their prey, the Bird ends up torn apart. However, you can usually put it back together without much trouble. We’ve definitely ordered the Bird 3-4 times already (always the 3-pack version), and the fun they have playing makes up for everything.
Play fun: 5/5

Quality: 2/5

Favourite toy with a short lifespan
I never thought such a simple fishing rod could be so much fun.
The only downside is its short lifespan – after an hour, the feathers were scattered all over the flat.
However, if you fill the holder with a bit of hot glue and stick the feathers back in, the whole thing stays rock-solid :)

Fishing rod in the bin, feathers for nothing.
After the first tentative attempts at playing, the feathers came loose from the holder. The super-thin string wrapped itself several times around the cat's tail, and the poor animal had to be awkwardly freed from it. Only the loose feathers managed to spark any excitement.

SUPER, when the cats know the "OFF" command
Our four indoor cats LOVE this cat wand because it really brings a lot of action. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to teach our cats the "DROP IT" command, so they won’t let go of the feathers once they’ve caught them, and as a result, the toy ends up broken in no time at all.

The enthusiasm doesn't fade.
My (big) tomcat never gets tired of chasing the supposed bird on the fishing rod. Even after three-quarters of a year, it’s still his absolute favourite toy—he ignores everything else, and insists on playing with it every single day! I cast the rod, we have a 1.80m tall scratching barrel and a long running board up along the wall. He catches the bird (I’ve gotten pretty good at aiming by now) and proudly brings his prey down to safety. And then the whole thing starts all over again (until my arm feels like it’s going to fall off).
The rod doesn’t last forever, that’s true, but the feathers can be pushed back into the casing quite well (it lasts a few weeks despite daily use). And when I see how much joy it brings him—when he jumps, spins, and completely immerses himself in the game—I’m more than happy to accept that. I order the 3-pack, which is very affordable. My tomcat is a three-year-old indoor cat, very lively by nature, and this physical activity does him a world of good, even though there’s another tomcat in the house.

Ideal... just not a long lifespan
I've bought countless toys for my two Persian cats up until now. Nothing has been as well-received as this wand toy. Even my old Persian lady, who usually only cares about the sofa, trots after this wand. My big tomcat, on the other hand, flies, jumps, and runs after it with his ears pinned back. He's even lost a few grams already. It's an absolute "must-have" for lazy cats. The downsides are that the feathers come off very quickly, and the string constantly wraps around the attachment, making it shorter and shorter. You end up untangling the string a hundred times, but with every untangling, it gets worse after each flight.

Super, but unfortunately breaks quickly
Unfortunately, the springs in the cord holder broke after just the second use! Additionally, the cord keeps twisting, making it shorter and shorter while playing! Despite this, the fishing rod is our cat’s absolute favourite toy. He demands his "exercise session" every single day!

Line completely tangled
My two cats' favourite toy, but the string gets completely twisted, so the line gets shorter and shorter with each flight, making it totally unusable. I'll still have to buy it again though, as my cats would be very unhappy without it.

Total enthusiasm from a couch potato!
My chubby one has enthusiastically accepted a toy for the first time. Even his little friend Emmy (1.8 years old) wasn’t allowed anywhere near the feather tuft. He growled and meowed like never before. I laughed myself silly, and Emmy kept her distance, lying in wait from a safe spot. I absolutely need more of these!

Dangerous yet very good
We've tried several of these play wands now, and unfortunately, it's always the same issue: within just a few play sessions with two Maine Coons, the feathers come loose from the casing where they're attached. This is dangerous because, unfortunately, the string on the extremely long and otherwise fantastic wand got wrapped around the tail – something that's never happened to us in many years – and it didn't loosen on its own. The cat panicked and ran through the house with the wand. It's also dangerous because a small metal ring connects the casing to the string on the other side, and you have to be careful that this metal ring doesn't get caught in the cat's teeth during play, as you might accidentally pull on it. Wrapping some tape around the casing with the metal ring helps. Other than that, it was always very popular until the feathers fell out. For the price, you'd expect better quality.
