It used to be the best cat litter for a long time, but that's no longer the case. Due to the new formula, the litter is too fine, barely clumps anymore, and doesn't absorb odours well. Cleaning has become problematic, as it now consists of thousands of tiny clumps. Sometimes our cats step into their own urine while using the litter box, which then creates quite a mess. Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend this cat litter and will be looking for an alternative.

As a new kitten owner, I asked a friend about her choice of litter. Based on advice from online research, I had unfortunately bought pellets, but the chunks were too hard for the tiny paws. I'm completely satisfied with the Cat's Best clumping litter. You can hardly smell either the big or small business, as the odour is well absorbed. The best thing, in my opinion, is that you can flush small amounts down the toilet!

Overall better than biokat diamond since one of my cats always has diarrhoea. Clumps really well and there is minimal wastage. Smell is okay, not as nice as biokat, and I do find this tracks a lot more than biokat, but it really does manage diarrhoea amazingly, and it’s much friendlier on the environment :)

I had been using this cat litter for many years with no problems. It absorbs all odours, clumps well and is easy to scoop. However, recent batches have been dreadful, the grains are small and dusty and my cat tracks this everywhere (she is short haired and I have a litter mat). Such a shame, it's bad enough that now I am trying other brands

I can’t believe I never heard of this cat litter until a week ago! Before I was using wooden pellets and it needed to be cleaned out fast as the smell of cat urine filled the room and was non clumping. So I looked for alternatives and found Cats Best original litter and the difference is amazing! No smell at all! It clumps well so it’s very easy to clean out and can even flush down the loo, my cats used it straight away could be because it’s softer on the paws unlike pellets they felt sharp

The best cat litter I've ever had. It only smells of wood, and the odour of waste is well absorbed. However, the formula has been changed, so the litter develops a sawdust-like consistency after about a day in the litter box. Naturally, this results in a powdery layer in front of the litter box, and the cats spread the litter around the house more easily. That's why I'm deducting one star. Please revert the formula back!

We have used this litter for years and it used to be great, with 5 cats we need a good litter! However they seem to have changed it. It's dustier than it used to be and the tracking is horrendous. I'm currently looking for a similar litter with better reviews.

I’ve been using it for a very long time, but recently the product has changed. It no longer clumps like it used to, and cleaning it is difficult because thousands of tiny clumps form. It’s absolutely impossible to sort them out. Honestly, you’d now have to replace the entire litter tray every time, which makes it much more expensive. It’s too pricey for me. I’d rather look for a better litter.

Since adopting a 6mnth rescue kitten and now a year later another 6mnth kitten, this has been the best cat litter purchase. We are in a flat, so containing smell is crucial ✅, absorbs everything ✅, FLUSHABLE ✅, LASTS FOREVER ✅ i have tried this product against other litters, but NO WAY do they come close to this product. Forever will we buy this litter.

I've only ever used this product and my last order I see they have made the litter smaller so that it actually gives off a dust! Its terrible and I'll not be buying this again if I can find an alternative.

I have always raved about this cat litter and used it for years with three cats and recommended it to everyone. The formula had 100% changed though - smaller grains and very dusty, tracks to the point I'm hoovering 2x a day!! I shall be trying a different litter.

So far, we’ve had very good experiences with Cats Best cat litter: the litter tray remained largely odour-neutral, the litter clumped around the urine and was therefore easy to remove, and it wasn’t tracked through the flat by the pet. Due to a new composition, the litter is now very fine (like sawdust), ends up everywhere, hardly clumps anymore, and binds odours only slightly. We can no longer recommend this cat litter and will be looking for an alternative.

The litter clumps relatively well, but the smell can be really awful at times. On its own, the litter smells natural. However, as soon as one of the cats has used the tray, you can smell it from far away, which is a total no-go if your flat isn’t very big. On top of that, the tiny bits get scattered all over the flat, and even a large mat doesn’t help with that.

With 7 indoor only cats, litter is a priority. I’ve tried quite a few different brands, but thoroughly love Cat’s Best. Suitable for disposable in the recycle bin which reduces landfill. Nice aroma and not as dusty as previous brands. Highly recommended.

The litter quickly starts to smell strange, and unfortunately, the clumps sometimes fall apart. You have to be very careful when removing the clumps. Positive: very lightweight litter. I had high expectations for this litter because it's so hyped... unfortunately disappointed... I can't recommend it.

Cannot believe this manufacturer would think people wouldn’t notice! I have been using this product and recommending it to friends & family for years, only to find how messy it’s become. It seems to have sawdust mixed in which means the cats are getting stuck in their paws and tramping it all over the carpets. Nothing more annoying to find cat litter on the bedsheets! If manufacturers are going to cheat customers, at least have the decency to mention it! Original it’s not😡

This absorbs smells and liquids brilliantly and is very lightweight. Perhaps too much so. Within 2 hours of putting this in the litter tray it looks as if I’ve had builders in for months. I’ve got 3 indoor cats, so use of the litter tray is pretty heavy but I’ve never had this problem with any other litter. When a cat gets off my lap there is cat litter on me. It’s been tracked everywhere in the house. It’s a real shame, because it would be great if it wasn’t for that. I’d never buy it again.

Used this litter for over 2 years now, it clumps really well (you’ve got to leave the pee a little bit so it can firm up), and doesn’t stink with regular scooping. Occasionally a bag will be a little dustier but it’s not a huge amount and has never been a problem. My only problem is it tracks so much, but we’ve tried different brands and different textures and they all get out but this one tracks more in my opinion. Or perhaps my boy has sweaty sticky paws. We’ve got a mat to combat it now.
