Yes, I used this litter years ago, and back then you could remove the clumps in one piece. Now the litter looks different, and yes, it crumbles into many small pieces for me too. Such a shame. I also find it disappointing that you don’t get any responses here and can only read through the reviews. Since my cats only use the litter box on bad days and I bought a large bag, I’m not sure if I’ll give it another try in a few months.

I’ve tested a lot of cat litter over the years, but this one has been the best by far. It absorbs liquid really well and doesn’t smell. My cats have quite long and thick fur between their paws, but with this litter, nothing gets stuck in it.

Be honest IT IS THE BEST. Maybe not in the price competition bet the quality and expectation wise - it is the BEST. Absorbs VERY WELL and no smell what so ever - just nice fresh wooden furniture smell - if it makes a séance. Strongly recommend!!!

We were actually very impressed with the litter. However, the composition has recently been changed. As others have already mentioned, the litter no longer clumps as well, and you end up with lots of small clumps in the litter tray instead of one large one. But since it can still be disposed of easily in the toilet, we will stick with it.

As already mentioned in previous comments, something about the composition has definitely changed. The litter is no longer as absorbent as it used to be and starts smelling much quicker, and now it's supposed to cost even more?! We will also be steering clear of this litter—such a shame...

I have had cats all my life and without doubt this is the best cat litter I have ever bought. IT DOES NOT SMELL! A little 2-3 minutes maintenance every day clearing out the poos and wees which have clumped up and then it’s fine. Just need to totally clean once a month. It’s unbelievable, highly recommended. I didn’t believe it until I tried it! Give it a go!

We’ve been using this litter ever since we got our cat. Both our cat and we were always very happy with it. But for some time now, something has changed in the formula. It has a different colour, the texture has changed, and it no longer clumps as it used to. It just crumbles apart quickly, making it very tedious to keep the litter box clean and to scoop everything out properly. Such a shame...

At first, I didn’t think that wood shavings would mask the smell and keep it fresh for so long. But quite the opposite. There’s absolutely no odour after the tigers have been to the loo. We have two toilets with this and two with a different litter. One large bag lasts us several months. A cheap alternative to the overpriced chemical products. And definitely worth every penny 👍

Unfortunately, the formula has worsened! The litter has become darker, significantly coarser, and no longer absorbs nearly as well as it used to. When cleaning, it crumbles into small clumps and starts to smell after just a few days. I’ll be looking for a better product as soon as possible! Such a shame!

The litter used to be great. It clumped well, hardly any dust. For some time now, it’s been dusty, doesn’t clump properly anymore, and leaves a huge mess all over the flat because the house cats spread the dust and litter remnants everywhere. On top of that, the consumption is much higher, which is due to the poor clumping ability nowadays. I’m looking around and hoping to find an alternative.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I could already tell from the colour that it’s not Cat’s Best Öko Plus, which I’ve been using for years. It’s greyer. It clumps worse. It doesn’t bind urine odours as well anymore. I won’t be buying it again.

I've been using this litter for many years, but the quality has gotten worse. It no longer clumps, falls apart, and starts to smell after just one day. Due to my breeding, I go through about 20 bags of 40 litres a month. I'm really sorry, but the price has become too high and the quality has declined, so I've switched to a different litter.

I have a blind cat that has also has breathing difficulties, and does not need any dust; this is lightweight, dust free and lasts for a long time. Over 30 years, I have used many types, but now would not use another; this suits the other 3 cats as well and provides light not heavy odour control.

Purchased this going by reviews, so happy I did as this is so much better than the wood pellets I had been using. No smell, No dust, and smaller pellets making it easier for the cats to use. Yes it is slightly more expensive, however, you actually use less so it lasts the same amount of time, if not longer than other brands.

I can't confirm the negative experiences from the past few weeks. It clumps wonderfully and lasts much longer than some other clumping litters. Both cats seem to like it too. The small and large messes can be sorted out easily, and if you regularly top it up, the whole litter tray lasts a very long time. Before, I had to do a complete clean every week because it would seep all the way to the bottom. CatsBest litter absorbs much better.

Just bought a big bag, but it doesn’t clump anymore?! Has the formula been changed? Really frustrating... the clump breaks apart into small chunks. Others are writing about this too. I’ve always been sooo happy with it until now!

I had the same experience as described by Britta. The texture is coarser, the colour darker, and the scent doesn’t hold as well as before – such a shame! I was really impressed with it and have been using it since February.
