I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I could already tell from the colour that it’s not Cat’s Best Öko Plus, which I’ve been using for years. It’s greyer. It clumps worse. It doesn’t bind urine odours as well anymore. I won’t be buying it again.

I've been using this litter for many years, but the quality has gotten worse. It no longer clumps, falls apart, and starts to smell after just one day. Due to my breeding, I go through about 20 bags of 40 litres a month. I'm really sorry, but the price has become too high and the quality has declined, so I've switched to a different litter.

I have a blind cat that has also has breathing difficulties, and does not need any dust; this is lightweight, dust free and lasts for a long time. Over 30 years, I have used many types, but now would not use another; this suits the other 3 cats as well and provides light not heavy odour control.

Purchased this going by reviews, so happy I did as this is so much better than the wood pellets I had been using. No smell, No dust, and smaller pellets making it easier for the cats to use. Yes it is slightly more expensive, however, you actually use less so it lasts the same amount of time, if not longer than other brands.

I can't confirm the negative experiences from the past few weeks. It clumps wonderfully and lasts much longer than some other clumping litters. Both cats seem to like it too. The small and large messes can be sorted out easily, and if you regularly top it up, the whole litter tray lasts a very long time. Before, I had to do a complete clean every week because it would seep all the way to the bottom. CatsBest litter absorbs much better.

Just bought a big bag, but it doesn’t clump anymore?! Has the formula been changed? Really frustrating... the clump breaks apart into small chunks. Others are writing about this too. I’ve always been sooo happy with it until now!

I had the same experience as described by Britta. The texture is coarser, the colour darker, and the scent doesn’t hold as well as before – such a shame! I was really impressed with it and have been using it since February.

What I noticed recently... It's darker... It doesn't bind like it used to, and it smells like cat pee, which wasn't the case before.

Clumps brilliantly, blocks odours really well, and my kittens are happy with it.

My cats like this litter. It binds odours well and is less dusty than conventional clumping litter. The only downside is that the cats carry quite a bit of it around the flat on their paws, so I’m deducting one star. Otherwise, I can recommend it.

Bought new cat litter last month. I've always been satisfied until now. However, this litter is much coarser than usual and darker in colour too. It no longer absorbs urine as well. The urine runs all the way to the bottom of the litter tray, and when I try to dispose of the waste, it doesn't clump but crumbles into lots of tiny pieces.

This is so far the best litter I've used. Yes it leaves mess around the tray, but not more than other litters. It does not smell and it is very easy to clean the tray.

After noticing from one pack to the next how the quality keeps declining, and now with this pack, I constantly have litter sticking to my feet, this will be the last pack of Cat's Best for me. The litter also sticks to the cats' fur, and I'm not sure how healthy that is if they end up swallowing it. Aside from that, I completely agree with all the previous critics. It no longer clumps (after the litter box has been used three or four times) and smells bad.

The best litter so far, but the last bag doesn't clump properly anymore – very disappointing and annoying.

We've been using Cats Best for years and have had very good experiences with it. It clumps brilliantly, doesn't smell, and is easy to handle. Sometimes small particles stick to the paws, but we've placed a mat in front of the litter box for that. Works really well.

Been buying this for over a year as it was the best clumping litter we tried. However the last 2 purchases something as definitely changed , it no longer properly clumps and falls to pieces? It also looks different , more fine and a darker colour? Gone from being 5 star to useless really! Such a shame too as it was our go to now to find a new one

The last order was just a disaster... usually always had great experiences, but this time it was just awful. It doesn’t clump at all... smells really bad. The cats drag the litter all over the flat because it sticks to their paws. I clean the litter box, put in fresh litter, the cat goes in, and then it feels like the entire contents of the litter box get dragged through the flat again – even worse than the cheap stuff. I even had to buy a special litter mat to keep most of it in the bathroom >.<

After trying all different types I've finally realized its called cat best litter for a reason. I've got 4 indoor cats 1 xl litter and 2 large litter trays in my home I've been using this for a few months and wish I had found it sooner. It kinda turns to a jelly once they have done a wee and is easily removed. It works really well for us so would definitely recommend trying it out :)
