Cat's Best Original cat litter has received mixed reviews. Many customers appreciate its excellent clumping ability and odour control, making it a favourite for years. However, recent changes in the formula have led to complaints about increased dustiness, poor clumping, and tracking issues. it has changed

I used to rave about this litter it used to be outstanding quality both low tracking and excellent clumping as well as virtually odour free for weeks before a full litter change was required. However the formula has changed at first I thought I had bought a dodgy batch as now finer grains that track everywhere!! also it leaves a very stale unpleasant smell after a couple of days and that’s after regular scooping . I am very disappointed, Ruined what use to be an excellent product , shame

Happy cat, happy owner!

Until now I was buying the cheapest littler I could find in the supermarket but a bag would only last me a week, and it was so stinky all the time. This is more expensive BUT it lasts so much longer, it absorbs the smells, it's so much easier to clean up and scoop, and it's more eco friendly on top of that. The only thing is it sticks to my cat's paws a bit and she tracks it around the house, but it's no big deal considering the pros. I'll be buying this in bulk for the foreseeable future!

Very convenient

When I got my little kitty we used normal clay litter but it was too messy so I decided to try this. In the beginning Diona didn't really want to use it unless i mixed it with the clay one and then we slowly transferred to this one fully and now both kitty and me are happy with the poopies. I don't think I will change this brand and type anytime soon. It's also environment friendly because you can flush it down the toilet.

Very disappointed.

After reading all the plaudits for this cat litter, I thought I would buy it. It is without a doubt one of the worst cat litters that I have ever used for my two cats. The cat litter disperses everywhere. It must stick to my cats paws because I am constantly finding it on my sofa, carpets etc. There is also a sickly smell that is quite overpowering, and I have to change the litter tray more frequently. For the price it is simply not worth the money.

Changed formula

What has happened to this litter? The litter has changed the grain is now much smaller so creates so much more mess. Also more dustier . Not great

Unfortunately not for us

We were really hoping to find a sustainable cat litter but this one just isnt for our cat. It holds odour well, but we would find ourselves changing it more often than usual because it would biodegrade instantly (So i guess it does what its meant to do) For us though we just cant keep up with needing to change litter as often as this one needs to be changed because it turns to mush so quickly.

Amazing

I have been using wood based or fullers earth cat litter for years with all my cats. My nephew suggested I try this as he uses it for his cat. I am amazed at the way it works. There is next to no smell and the litter clumps into little lumps that are easily collected with a spade. No scraping the base of the tray. Cherry the cat seems pleased with it which is, for her, the most important thing. Will defo stock up on this.

Great

I wasn’t sure when I first got it, as the cats seem to pad it round the house. But then I got a dyson upright hoover, and just give the place a quick blast every couple of days, which surprisingly my cats aren’t bothered about. Lasts a long time, clumps well, and no odour

It’s ok

This litter is ok and I generally only buy it when the Greenwood’s litter bit of this is not in stock. I started with this brand but once I found Greenwood’s I didn’t go back. The difference to the Greenwood’s is it tracks more and the odour control is not as good. This is a good second to the other brand and better than nothing!

Best yet

Best litter we've ever found. Clumps nicely

Good litter but not perfect

Okay this litter has more pros than cons. It’s environment friendly, natural and good for kittens as well as adult cats. The only negative thing about it is the fact that it’s not the best smell-absorbing litter on the market. I would still recommend it because of all the positive things - Just make sure you clean the litter immediately after use.

Much better than another cat litter we tried

This cat litter is like little clumps of sawdust the size of peas, and absorbs fluid and smells. It also coats solid waste[!] Other cat litter we have bought is wood pellets, also used for heating. It looks like shiny maggots and does not work as well.Cra

Excellent for long-haired cats

This litter is the best litter you can buy in my opinion! My cat has an extremely fluffy and long coat so she has a habit of getting litter stuck in her fur. Due to the clumping nature of the litter, she rarely has this issue anymore. Plus, the fact it clumps make it easy to dispose of down the toilet.

Excellent litter

Having used this product for quite a few years, the wastage on the poop scoop is minimal and flushes away without any problems. This is by far the best product for our 4 maine coons and little moggy. (Also got our breeder using it)Sometimes I do think they love flicking the litter everywhere but that's easy to remedy with the hoover.

Sustainable and cheap 💞💞💞💞💞

It's true is goes everywhere. Meaning I have an excuse to hoover few times a week 😎I still think the fact that you can throw it down the toilet and that it lasts for a long time (I add the"sand" instead of changing it) makes it unbeatable.

Great wood based litter

It clumps nicely, although sometimes they can split if it's not deep enough to make a tidy ball. There is no dust, no smell, and it absorbs the smell of the pee well. My cats are infuriatingly fastidious in covering their 'business' so they do kick it out everywhere, unfortunately one is so big I have no covered trays to prevent this. I've previously bought this from petsathome but these bags are so much bigger and the same price, so I will continue to frequent zooplus!

Great Litter

I have 5 indoor cats, 2 are Maine Coons and I have 5 litter trays. This litter is the best I've found. The wee clumps into a ball, all contents easily removed with very little wastage. The down side, hence 4 * not 5*, litter is traipsed everywhere. It even gets matted into my slippers! For now I am sticking with this litter and would recommend.

Spreads EVERYWHERE!

This litter is actually ok in preventing smells from the tray and it’s easy to clean out as it clumps but it spreads all over the house. We bought mats to try and stop it but they’ve not helped at all - literally every room in the house gets covered and we are sweeping and vacuuming several times a day. Wood- based from the supermarket is much better.

Excellent product

Unlike so many other litters this lasts well, keeps the smell to a minimum, clumps properly and doesn't make excess mess (I find a lot of litters powdery which cats then walk everywhere!).

Best litter

Clumps so is easy to clear away

Perfect for us

It clumps well and doesn’t create much dust. If you clean the litter box regularly, it doesn’t smell. Some gets carried out on their paws, but with daily sweeping around the toilet, it’s not a problem. Our cats don’t like scented litter, so this is perfect for them.

I always buy it. Good price.

It's just a shame that zooplus packs it in a big box. It would easily fit in a slightly smaller one if the top packaging was bent. And it makes a difference to me, because I prefer to collect my deliveries from the parcel locker.

It's not the same anymore

I’ve seen that other people have had the same experience as me. I bought it for two years, it was really excellent. For months now, it’s not the same anymore. It DOESN’T CLUMP anymore. As for the smell, unfortunately I’ll have to try again because I bought a similar one, but the bad odour isn’t neutralised.

Lately, it gives off dust

I've always used this litter and been really happy with it, but lately it's been giving off loads of dust. Even when I scoop it, I end up coughing from all the dust—imagine what it's like for the cats. I'm thinking about switching to a different one.

Brilliant

I've been using this litter for a few months now and honestly I don't regret it at all, it's really great. Plus, with a big bag I can fill five litter trays and still have some left over, so it's really good when you have several cats.

Dusty

The sand is very dusty, which is a shame because it goes a long way and clumps well.

Almost dust-free but clumping is mediocre

I previously used cat litter from Lidl and wanted a low-dust option. I'm very happy with this cat litter because it's quite low in dust and absorbs odours well. However, I'm unsure about the quality of its clumping. It does form clumps, but the pee clumps break apart when I try to clean the litter box. The pee stays fairly wet, which is annoying because it leaves small bits of litter behind that already contain pee. As a result, the litter needs to be replaced more often.

Cat litter

The litter is fantastic, really efficient, clumps instantly, doesn’t get all sticky, and the bottom of the tray stays clean. I’ll only be ordering this one from now on.

It's not the same product anymore.

We’ve been using this cat litter for years. Now it doesn’t clump like it should anymore and the litter smells worse.

The best

Our favourite: it lasts a long time, doesn’t leave dust everywhere (like the stone one), clumps well... Negatives: it sticks quite a bit—leaves marks and it’s a bit pricey.

Very dissatisfied, used to be better, doesn't clump properly.

The first ones we bought directly at Fressnapf were of higher quality.

Very good cat litter

Great cat litter, the cats are happy, it clumps nicely and smells like wood. The pieces used to be a bit bigger, so now they spread it around the flat more, but it's still good and much better than the original bentonite one.

Excellent!

I've been using this litter since 2011 and it allows me to avoid bad smells in the house because I can flush it down the toilet. It's odourless so it doesn't bother me, and it doesn't contain any toxic substances for my pets. Finally, it's clumping and absorbent.
