We had the problem of neighbours' cats coming in through our existing catflap and polishing off Sooty's food. Sooty refused to wear a collar but had a microchip. A friend told us about microchip catflaps. We investigated and found good reviews for the SureFlap one. Bought it online,, my husband fitted it easily, just needing minor adjustments to the hole already there, Sooty got used to it immediately, clever cat, and the neighbours' cats have given up trying to get in. problem solved!

After 7 years we had to install a new cat flap. We decided on this model again and it was worth it again: it is an improved version of the previous model. Handling is easier and the locking is so much quieter ... Another great choice! Nanette & Yoda

The cat flap is relatively easy to install and works perfectly. Only the supplied screws are a bit too short if you want to / have to use the maximum tunnel length. My two cats immediately accepted the flap and apparently enjoy using it. Both wear a collar with a pendant to open the flap and that also works perfectly.

The Catflap is OK, its a bit small. Fine for my kittens at the moment, but give it a year and we will have to buy a bigger one. Recently, our cats have been given freedom of the outdoors. However, this has obviously resulted in some territorial issues. On more than one occasion now, we hear a huge bang on the backdoor, and its our kittens getting chased back to the house and headbutting the catflap due to it now unlocking, and has resulted in one of our kittens getting attacked and cut face

Finally we only feed our own cats. Before that, we always wondered that the bowls were always empty in the morning. Until we caught a strange (wild) cat eating. Actually I thought 3 cats would keep strangers away...

I ordered this cat flap because we first had a cat flap with a magnet, but the silly thing about it was that our neighbour's cat always broke it. He'd always push through with his head because the locking mechanism was on the side. Since that flap is gone, our cat thanks us for that.

I bought a sureflap cat flap. Was ideal for several months, I then started to experience problems. I decided to send an e mail to the company advising them of the issues. There response was second to none. If all companies responded to there standard life would be so much nicer. I did not have to argue with them, they assessed the situation and responded accordingly. I would advise any customer experiencing problems, dont write a negative review, contact the customer service team, they are exceptional!A

This cat flap is really great. Cats from the neighbourhood are no longer admitted. Installation and programming is child's play. When our flap had a defect after 5 years, we got quick help from the manufacturer. I can only recommend the flap !!

I bought this recently as we had an 'intruder' in the house a few times which was causing my kitten a lot of distress. Took a few days to get used to it, especially as the flap was smaller than the original flap but after about 4 or 5 days he was using it happily enough. He hasn't quite worked out that other cats can't get in but he is settling down and is less stressed than he was. I just hope he doesn't get too big for the hole as it would mean getting a new glazed panel with a bigger hole.

This is perfect for what I needed it for, it keeps out neighbours/stray cats whilst also giving my cat the freedom to come and go as he pleases, plus no more lost chips that you have to attach to collars!

We've had this installed for over a year and it was a great decision to swap to a microchip flap. No more lost collars and having to pay for new ones. Very reliable once programmed. Easy to fit and the cats use it easily. Quieter than the infra red flaps. Very good product, would definitely upgrade to this.

Three days after installation, I can say this product works well, but the draught-proofing doesn't work. The flap rim does have a fuzzy material on it, presumably intended to seal against draughts, but it doesn't actually reduce the 2 mm gap all around the flap, which makes it very draughty when the wind blows.

I am so impressed! I acquired a Sureflap cat flap when I moved into my house two years ago and it has worked perfectly the whole time. Recently however I was woken at 1am to a cat fight and came downstairs to find a large ginger tom had gotten in and was stuck! Realised the cat flap had broken so following the online troubleshooter on the company website they diagnosed a problem they could resolve with a new part so at 3am on a Tuesday morning I got an automatic notification that they would send it out, which after another notification at 5pm the same afternoon, they did. It arrived the next day and was actually a complete replacement for the inside frame/door/latch. With their clear video tutorials it was easy to switch over and by 6pm on Wednesday it was as good as new and it didn't cost a penny! Efficient, effective and easy!

The installation of the flap was very simple. We put a treat in the tunnel and the cat ate it. The transmitter immediately read and saved the microchip. The click when opening or closing the flap does not bother our cats. The neighbour tomcat is no longer allowed in. I can only recommend this microchip flap.

I first bought the SureFlap cat flap for my old flat, about 3 years ago. Previous to that I had spent a fortune on magnetic and then the petporte cat flaps. One of my cats, who likes to use his paws to open the door got himself stuck in both the magnetic and petporte ones, but never in the Sureflap. It's very well designed - the others led to break ins, but not the Sureflap. When I moved I bought another one for a double glazed door panel and it looks and works brilliantly. Highly recommend!

We were having secret visitors via our old cat flap and my cat was getting distressed, so we bought one of these, and after a few encouraging treats for him to get used to the new flap - it is a bit harder to push then the ordinary type, he was in and out without any problems. it is easy to set up, and definitely stops any unwanted visitors, and now my kitty can call his house and food his own.

At first I wasn't sure as our cat was very reluctant to use it....he's very cautious anyways and I think it freaked him a little when we programmed it as he wondered what was happening Anyway, because he was so reluctant to use it, I did what was suggested in the booklet and took out the batteries so that he could use it as a "normal" cat flap Then after a few days I just slipped the batteries in again whilst he was out and ever since then he has been coming in fine and not suspected a thing!

It has been in use for 1 year and there are no complaints about it.

Other cats than mine cannot come into my house anymore. They used to terrorize my cats, eat my expensive cat food and wee in every corner. Thanks to this flap. This is finished. My cats are happy and so am I!

The flap has worked with our two tomcats for over 5 years without any problems! No stranger's cats in the house and vacation is no longer a problem. I change the batteries once a year, at max.
