Much loved
The Bird has become an indispensable part of our daily fitness routine. I've ordered it several times already – the quality can be quite varied. Sometimes they last for months, but one was shredded within just 5 minutes.
We've even tied fabric ribbons to the brilliant rods, stuffed in more feathers, and so on... there's no limit to creativity.
For the price, it's definitely the best toy ever: even the neighbour's cat shows up in our garden when the 'Bird' comes out!
By now, each of my cats has their own, so the play can continue even when one of them drags the prey off to a safe hiding spot :)

Damaged and uninteresting
Arrived slightly damaged and isn’t appreciated by my usual fishing buddies. I’ll donate it to the animal shelter—maybe they can still make some use of it...

Off we go ...
Mao is really into the fishing rod. He, who usually prefers real mice and can only be tempted outside with a bamboo teaser at best, is now running, jumping, almost doing somersaults, and chasing after the feather. All of this happens at a safe paw distance, as the rod has a decent length. One star deducted for the workmanship, as the feathers can easily slip out of the holder, and you need to be a bit careful with the attachment to ensure the cat doesn’t get caught in the small metal loop. But otherwise, it’s a great product. :-)

Bad toy
My cats absolutely love the feathers. The play effect is fantastic. Unfortunately, it only lasts a few minutes because the wand breaks almost immediately. I ordered a total of 6 wands. All (!) of them broke after a short time.
Very poor quality.

Holds up well and is fun.
It was enthusiastically received, even better than the fishing rod with the plush mouse. Depending on the kitten (my Tassi is quite big for her 4 months and has a somewhat rough approach), the strain from biting down hard is significant, but so far the thing is holding up. It’s certainly not built to last forever, but it’s affordable enough. The owner just needs to be clever when playing.

Reasonable quality
I can hardly get my cat away from this thing, she’s absolutely crazy about it. As soon as I put it away after playing, she meows the house down until she gets the wand back.
The quality is, well, so-so. The rods didn’t fit together as they should, and it doesn’t look like the wand will last very long.
However, it’s exactly what I expected for the price, so I’m happy with it ;)

Recommended with reservations...
Our cat LOVES this thing. However, it really breaks very quickly...
Two feathers are already ruined, and we've reattached the others by gluing or tying them back on. We keep the toy well hidden when we're not playing with him, and during playtime, we're careful not to pull too hard when he's latched onto it.
Still giving it 3 stars because, by far, it's his favourite toy.

Super good
My three furry friends absolutely love it. We could honestly play with it all day long. It's worth every penny, and the little ones NEVER get bored with it.

Poor workmanship
I have to agree with the previous reviewers!! The fishing rod lost its feathers within the first five minutes, and although I tried to fix it properly, I had no success. Such a shame, as my little ones were super excited about this rod.

Terrible workmanship
As someone before me already mentioned: unfortunately, the springs don’t last even 5 minutes. It would be a lot of fun if the springs were attached better.

Lovely toy
My two little ones love the fishing rod, I’ve just ordered two more as well. They don’t last particularly long, but that’s only because it’s so incredibly popular. We’re thrilled!

doesn't last 5 minutes
A great toy, my cats went absolutely wild for it. However, they had ripped out all the feathers within 5 minutes. Unfortunately, the wand is very poorly made. Such a shame!

Nice toy
My two little ones were absolutely thrilled! Unfortunately, the two bigger ones weren’t 😞
My Coco was doing somersaults chasing after the feathers, and my Keks grabbed the feathers, snatched the stick right out of my hand, and dashed through the flat growling! It was a sight to behold! 😄
I’ll definitely be ordering this again.

Not for us
We bought two of these fishing rods for our young Coonies. Unfortunately, both rods broke within the first minute – the feathers were torn out, and the rubber holding the feathers ripped.
Such a shame, as both of them were really very interested in the toy. Now we’ll have to resort to the more expensive alternative, which unfortunately isn’t available at Zooplus.

My cat's favourite toy
I don’t know what’s so special about this wand, but my tomcat was already pouncing on it greedily while it was still half-unpacked. With other wands, my cats aren’t nearly as enthusiastic! The rod is quite long, but I find that pretty practical (just a bit tricky to store).
It does break quickly, but every few months there’s a new Bird Wand.

Better than expected
I think the fishing rod is really great for the price, my little one pounced on it straight away. However, it's not designed to last long.

Lovely fishing rod, but it doesn't last long.
My tomcat was immediately excited about the wand (which usually doesn’t happen so quickly), but unfortunately, the feathers came off after just a few minutes.
Even at this price, the wand should last longer!

Great!
Minus: The feathers are attached with a dangerous metal pin (not sharp). You really have to be careful that nothing gets swallowed, as the cats bite into it quite wildly and all that.
Plus: My two absolutely love this thing. Especially my girl – she’d probably specialise in birds if she were out in nature ;-)
I always have to keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t get hold of it. Because once they do, they’ll never let go willingly. There’s growling and attempts to quickly hide the "prey" somewhere safe. My wand is already a bit battered. But the feathers still fly and flutter perfectly. I can only recommend it: Bring out the predator in your house cat!

Makes my babies go wild
As soon as the feathers start flying through the air, our boys are already on the scene! The two chase the feather bundle until they're completely exhausted.
But the cat mum has to do her part too... making sure the two don't catch the feathers, as they'd be played to death in no time.

Overpromised
A few feathers on a string, and the fishing rod pieces are barely connectable and not durable. Hardly any prey imitation and no fluttering sounds.
