Cat's Best litter has received praise for its excellent clumping and minimal tracking, keeping homes tidy and odour-free. However, recent changes have left some users disappointed, citing issues with dust, inconsistent clumping, and smaller, crumbling pellets. Despite these concerns, many still find it economical and effective, particularly for long-haired cats. Overall, while the product has seen a dip in quality, it remains a favourite for its cleanliness and ease of use.
Great for long-haired cats but with drawbacks
The positive first: the large pellets don’t stick to the fur and aren’t spread around the house. The odour control is very good. However, a downside is that the litter doesn’t clump as well as the regular CBÖ, which means it can’t be completely removed, leading to more frequent litter changes. Additionally, the clumps can’t be separated from the clean litter as effectively, which also increases consumption.
As a result, the costs are significantly higher compared to CBÖ.

Something has changed and not for the good
I thought I had found the perfect cat litter last year. The formulae has changed recently as the litter no longer clumps as good as it used to and when it does it crumbles into small pieces which takes a very long time to attempt to scoop away. As a result I end up throwing away alot of the litter. I do not mind paying a premium price for a premium product, but this is no longer the case as I have got better results from cheaper supermarket brands. On the search for another cat litter now.

The best litter by far
This litter is perfect for our two indoor cats as there is absolutely no tracking round the house and the clumping aspect is really effective which reduces a lot of wastage when cleaning out the litter trays. The secret is to let the clumps harden slightly before removing them which prevents them falling apart. The price is definitely worth it.

Best I've Found
I have 2 indoor cats one with long hair. This litter makes very little mess and absorbs wetness and stalls very well. It's flushable too so win win.

Happy Ragdoll
Have tried all types of cat litter. This is by far the best for my ragdoll and me! She is happy using it and it doesn't trail all-round the house, doesn't stick to her long fur, no horrible smells and lasts a long while, I do take the lumps out daily. Have been ordering from Zooplus for a few years they have always been very quick to deliver, very happy with them, never had any problems, and will definitely be ordering from them again.

No longer as good
I gave this litter five stars three years ago then it clumped better than any I had used in 50 plus years but something has changed as it is now no better than other cheaper products. The clump no longer sticks together but breaks up on removal into smaller bits.

Changed
The product that I got this last time does not clump as before. It now breaks up a lot and uses far more litter than it did. Please revert to original formula as it is now not nearly as good or economical as it was.

Not clumping
As previous reviews, this is not as good as OKO plus.... no clumping takes place. It just breaks into a powder which you can only clean by emptying the whole lot out.

Pros and Cons
We have two European Shorthair tomcats.
Switching from 'Öko plus' was no problem. What we immediately noticed: A lot(!) less litter outside the toilet. No complaints in terms of odour. However, the regular price is quite steep.
Since we still have a large pack of 'Öko plus', we decided to mix them: roughly 2/3 'Nature Gold' and 1/3 'Öko plus'. Still significantly less litter outside and great clumping results.

Expensive fun
For years, I’ve been using Cat’s Best Öko Plus for my four furry friends and was quite satisfied with it. Now I’ve switched to pellet litter, which has been well accepted too. However, it forms very large clumps that often can’t be disposed of cleanly. Small chunks end up in the toilet, and you have to completely change it every few days if you want it to be reasonably hygienic. There’s also dust, and the pellets get scattered all over the bathroom. I won’t be buying it again.

Of all the eco-litters I've tested, this is the best.
Very good adhesive properties, but I don’t like the smell. It always has a slightly sour note.

Wonderful
Previously, I used CatsBest Ökoplus – great for disposal and odour control – but the "beach effect" all over the flat (even with a mat) drove me mad ;)
I switched to NatureGold and I’m absolutely thrilled!
And my two British Shorthairs love it too.

The best
Cat litter for my big, digging-happy tomcat! Finally, no more cat litter scattered all over the flat and bed!
It doesn’t clump as strongly as other litters, but I have absolutely no issues with disposal, as it still sticks together somehow and goes straight into the toilet! Very convenient when you live on the 6th floor.
Droppings that stay on top, I remove immediately without having to throw away any litter.
One filling lasts about 4 weeks for my very frequent-piddling tomcat.

Not for us
For 14 months now, the three of us (me and my girls) have been searching for the right litter... The eco-friendly one scattered too much for me, and this one here they don’t cover up anymore. Plus, it smells more than the eco-friendly one and doesn’t absorb well either. Unfortunately, we don’t like it... The search continues.
For others’ information: it really produces little to no dust and has a nice wood scent.

Bird
For me, the litter was quite good, but my 6-month-old cat doesn’t like going in. She’s a mix of Persian, Forest Cat, and Maine Coon. I’ve tried lots of different litters, like Diamond Care, Premiere Excellent, and recently the new Carbon Control, but that one wasn’t good at all—she carried a lot of it out. The only one that was better was Multi Fit Diamonds, but I didn’t like it because it’s not clumping.

Actually the best litter
It doesn’t clump very well, so you end up using quite a lot of it, especially given the price. It doesn’t spread around the house as much as other types, though. You really need to get kittens used to it from a young age, otherwise it can be tricky. But it smells pleasant and doesn’t stink after just a few days. I have four Ragdolls, and occasionally there are kittens as well. That’s definitely a tough test. :-) Dust formation is okay—not as bad as with all-natural clay/bentonite litter.

Cats don't like it.
I was quite impressed with the litter as it hardly crumbles and can be disposed of in the toilet. But my cats didn’t take to it and ended up leaving their messes in front of the litter box.

Best cat litter
Super cat litter! Especially if you have long-haired or semi-long-haired cats, it’s perfect for them. It’s really proven itself with my tomcat, especially since he loves to dig, and none of it gets stuck in his fur.

We can recommend it.
I’ve equipped one of my four litter boxes with this and can only say, we recommend this product. I’m also using Cats Best Öko Plus otherwise. With my 5 Turkish Angoras and 1 domestic shorthair, the "tracking" around the house has been significantly reduced. It was very well received. Clear recommendation to buy. I’ll be switching the other litter boxes to this litter as well.

Was not accepted by the cats.
I bought the litter on offer to test it out. On the positive side, it clumps well, the urine doesn’t smell, and there’s no beach-like effect.
However, on the negative side, it’s very hard, and there are already sharp edges on the sides. I can understand why the cats didn’t want to use the litter box with this litter for a long time and didn’t bury their business. Even the tomcat, who usually loves digging, wasn’t keen on it.
