Cat's Best litter has been a favorite for its excellent clumping, odor control, and minimal tracking. Recently, however, users have noticed a decline in quality, with smaller, dustier pellets that crumble and don't clump as effectively, leading to more mess and odor. Despite this, some users still appreciate its odorless nature and ease of cleaning. Many are disappointed and considering switching brands, but others remain loyal due to past satisfaction.

Of all the eco-litters I've tested, this is the best.
Very good adhesive properties, but I don’t like the smell. It always has a slightly sour note.

Wonderful
Previously, I used CatsBest Ökoplus – great for disposal and odour control – but the "beach effect" all over the flat (even with a mat) drove me mad ;)
I switched to NatureGold and I’m absolutely thrilled!
And my two British Shorthairs love it too.

The best
Cat litter for my big, digging-happy tomcat! Finally, no more cat litter scattered all over the flat and bed!
It doesn’t clump as strongly as other litters, but I have absolutely no issues with disposal, as it still sticks together somehow and goes straight into the toilet! Very convenient when you live on the 6th floor.
Droppings that stay on top, I remove immediately without having to throw away any litter.
One filling lasts about 4 weeks for my very frequent-piddling tomcat.

Not for us
For 14 months now, the three of us (me and my girls) have been searching for the right litter... The eco-friendly one scattered too much for me, and this one here they don’t cover up anymore. Plus, it smells more than the eco-friendly one and doesn’t absorb well either. Unfortunately, we don’t like it... The search continues.
For others’ information: it really produces little to no dust and has a nice wood scent.

For me, the litter was quite good, but my 6-month-old cat doesn’t like going in. She’s a mix of Persian, Forest Cat, and Maine Coon. I’ve tried lots of different litters, like Diamond Care, Premiere Excellent, and recently the new Carbon Control, but that one wasn’t good at all—she carried a lot of it out. The only one that was better was Multi Fit Diamonds, but I didn’t like it because it’s not clumping.

Actually the best litter
It doesn’t clump very well, so you end up using quite a lot of it, especially given the price. It doesn’t spread around the house as much as other types, though. You really need to get kittens used to it from a young age, otherwise it can be tricky. But it smells pleasant and doesn’t stink after just a few days. I have four Ragdolls, and occasionally there are kittens as well. That’s definitely a tough test. :-) Dust formation is okay—not as bad as with all-natural clay/bentonite litter.

Cats don't like it.
I was quite impressed with the litter as it hardly crumbles and can be disposed of in the toilet. But my cats didn’t take to it and ended up leaving their messes in front of the litter box.

Best cat litter
Super cat litter! Especially if you have long-haired or semi-long-haired cats, it’s perfect for them. It’s really proven itself with my tomcat, especially since he loves to dig, and none of it gets stuck in his fur.

We can recommend it.
I’ve equipped one of my four litter boxes with this and can only say, we recommend this product. I’m also using Cats Best Öko Plus otherwise. With my 5 Turkish Angoras and 1 domestic shorthair, the "tracking" around the house has been significantly reduced. It was very well received. Clear recommendation to buy. I’ll be switching the other litter boxes to this litter as well.

Was not accepted by the cats.
I bought the litter on offer to test it out. On the positive side, it clumps well, the urine doesn’t smell, and there’s no beach-like effect.
However, on the negative side, it’s very hard, and there are already sharp edges on the sides. I can understand why the cats didn’t want to use the litter box with this litter for a long time and didn’t bury their business. Even the tomcat, who usually loves digging, wasn’t keen on it.

Nothing else will ever come into my house.
For me, this is the best litter. I've been using it for 4 years now. In between, I tried out one or two other types of litter, but I always come back to this one. No more litter gets scattered around the flat; occasionally, there are just a few pellets lying around. With the right scoop, the clumps can be removed easily. The quality does vary, that's true... but I can still highly recommend it! Would buy it again any time.

Meh
Advantages: Pellets don’t get stuck between the paws and therefore aren’t carried around the flat; litter bag is easy to carry, absorbency is good.
Disadvantages: higher consumption compared to bentonite, starts to smell after a while; clumps break apart easily.

Really bad: Too coarse, doesn't clump properly
I absolutely advise against this litter! It's basically wood pellets. They don't sift properly through the scoop, and you end up spending ages trying to pick out the clumps.
The "big business" is hardly surrounded by the pellets, unlike with other types of litter. This results in the cats spreading their own faeces around the house. And apparently, the heavy, large pellets aren't comfortable for them either. I just hope they don't start refusing to use the litter box now... I wouldn't blame them!

Simply brilliant
I’ve now switched to the Gold as well and I’m thrilled. Hardly any litter around the house, no odours, and the changeover went perfectly. The only downside is that sifting it is a bit more effort, and the litter is slightly heavier. But I’m happy to accept that.

I'm thrilled!
Super litter. I used to always go for the other Cat's Best Öko litter, but my cat would drag it all over the flat. Decided to give this one a try, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it!! Everything stays clean. It’s a solid 10/10 from me.

No clumping litter :(
Unfortunately, the fun was over after just one day... My cat dragged the litter everywhere because the supposed clumps weren’t clumps at all. She kept hitting them while burying, and the little one didn’t like that at all.
The smell of the cat litter itself is lovely, but as soon as there’s a big business in it, it stinks.
Sadly, sadly, it failed for us! :.(

Not accepted
The pellets are too coarse. The daily "business" was no longer buried.
However, it is more suitable for Maine Coon long-haired cats, as nothing sticks to their fur/paws like the regular Cats Best. But I won’t be buying it again.

Seems to have changed formula
Been using for 5 years, selected favourite after much trial and error. However The formula seems to have changed and it is no longer clumping as before. Please change it back!

I think it's TOP.
So, my tomcat really has an extremely strong urine smell. Absolutely awful. I had tried so many things! Now I use this, and since then, there’s no smell at all! Really brilliant. However, the quality is inconsistent, which is a bit of a shame... especially considering the price. Still, I’ll keep using it! I can recommend it.

Good litter
The litter is very suitable for long-haired cats because, unlike CBÖP, it doesn’t get stuck in their fur. However, the pellets break down over time, and these small wood particles still end up being spread around the house. Unfortunately, it’s not ideal for cats that like to dig, as you can’t fill the tray to a very high level. The pellets are quite heavy, making it harder to scoop through the litter. Also, not every scoop is suitable for this type of litter!
