Something has changed
I last bought this litter in March and it used to be great until it went out of stock for a long spell....BUT when it came back into stock something has changed with this litter which is really disappointing. Whilst it doesn't trail across the floor after my cat exits her litter box, the clumping of this litter is not what it used to be. It now seems to break up when trying to empty it. I seem to be using so much more of this stuff for this reason. Really disappointing, why fix something that isn't broken. This used to be the best litter, I've been using it for 14 years or so but I am beginning to think about putting myself through the trauma of trying alternate makes.

Used to be better
I've been using this product for years and was always very satisfied.
However, for the past few months, the clumping has hardly worked at all – I'm deeply disappointed.

Grade 1- :)
We've been using this litter for about 6 weeks now and unfortunately have to say that the clumping isn't great – if you want to dispose of the clumps straight away, they completely fall apart. If you leave them for a while, this happens less. We're now mixing it with Cats Best Öko (using the large pellets as the top layer) and are very satisfied. There's hardly any litter outside the box anymore, and most of it ends up right in front of the cat litter tray rather than scattered all over the flat. :o)

My ORI'S love it
The litter is absolutely top-notch! I have 5 Oriental cats and ONE litter box – very large – sometimes even two of them sit inside at the same time. The litter binds odours really well and is very well accepted. It doesn’t make a mess outside the toilet. We’re thrilled. I would recommend it anytime. Plus, you can hear the scratching, so I know it’s time to clean it out. Very practical, this acoustic alarm.

The quality has become very poor over time.
I've been using this litter for my two tomcats for a very long time, and I was satisfied for quite a while—solid clumps, no odour, and almost no litter scattered outside the box.
Unfortunately, for months now, I've noticed the quality has been getting worse. There's hardly any clumping, which means the cat litter boxes start to smell awful after no more than 14 days. And what was advertised about this litter is no longer true! The litter gets carried into every corner of the flat!!!
Sadly, I can no longer recommend this litter—such a shame.

The mix makes it!
The concept with the pellets, which (unlike Öko Plus) are less likely to be scattered around, definitely works... BUT the pellets hardly clump. The "balls" fall apart immediately as soon as the scoop gets anywhere near them. Now we've mixed "Öko Plus" and "Nature Gold" 50:50 and are super satisfied. Less litter around the house and the usual absorption. One star deducted for the effort of the mixing experiment. Without Öko Plus, I would give 2 or 3 stars.

Perfect cat litter
Cats Vest has the best odour control of all the cat litters I've tried so far, which is no easy feat with my big tomcats!
On top of that, the litter doesn’t stick to paws or fur, so it only ends up a little in front of the litter box instead of all over the house.
100% recommendation!

Absolutely unsuitable!
This is the worst cat litter I’ve ever tried! I usually use Catsan, but I was getting annoyed with the white granules being scattered everywhere, so I decided to try something different. However, my long-haired cat spreads this one around the flat just as much. On top of that, it’s really difficult to scoop out of the litter tray because it falls apart immediately, leaving half of the swollen, crumbling pellets behind in the tray. My cat isn’t usually very picky when it comes to cat litter, but this is the first one where she held it in for the first 24 hours rather than using it. Only after repeated encouragement did she finally empty her almost bursting bladder into it. It doesn’t smell pleasant either. After two days, I threw it away in the organic waste bin! (the only advantage).

Used to be better
I've been using Nature Gold for about 2.5 years now. I was always quite satisfied with it. Despite having three extremely enthusiastic digging cats, the sand effect was somewhat manageable. The odour control was good.
However, over the past few months, the quality has unfortunately declined. The litter is now very dusty. The clumps fall apart, and there are lots of small clumps in the tray. Due to the large clumps, the litter is no longer as efficient as it was months ago, making it quite expensive as a result.
I'm currently testing a different litter.

Super cat litter!
I’ve had two Maine Coon tomcats for half a year now, never owned cats before, and I immediately decided on this litter. It hardly produces any dust, smells wonderfully fresh and woody, doesn’t stink at all even after three weeks, clumps excellently, and can be disposed of in organic waste. What more could you want? On top of that, my two boys spread relatively little of it around the flat (compared to what I’ve seen at other people’s places), as they’re large pellets. I’m absolutely thrilled!

Great for long-haired cats but with drawbacks
The positive first: the large pellets don’t stick to the fur and aren’t spread around the house. The odour control is very good. However, a downside is that the litter doesn’t clump as well as the regular CBÖ, which means it can’t be completely removed, leading to more frequent litter changes. Additionally, the clumps can’t be separated from the clean litter as effectively, which also increases consumption.
As a result, the costs are significantly higher compared to CBÖ.

Something has changed and not for the good
I thought I had found the perfect cat litter last year. The formulae has changed recently as the litter no longer clumps as good as it used to and when it does it crumbles into small pieces which takes a very long time to attempt to scoop away. As a result I end up throwing away alot of the litter. I do not mind paying a premium price for a premium product, but this is no longer the case as I have got better results from cheaper supermarket brands. On the search for another cat litter now.

The best litter by far
This litter is perfect for our two indoor cats as there is absolutely no tracking round the house and the clumping aspect is really effective which reduces a lot of wastage when cleaning out the litter trays. The secret is to let the clumps harden slightly before removing them which prevents them falling apart. The price is definitely worth it.

Best I've Found
I have 2 indoor cats one with long hair. This litter makes very little mess and absorbs wetness and stalls very well. It's flushable too so win win.

Happy Ragdoll
Have tried all types of cat litter. This is by far the best for my ragdoll and me! She is happy using it and it doesn't trail all-round the house, doesn't stick to her long fur, no horrible smells and lasts a long while, I do take the lumps out daily. Have been ordering from Zooplus for a few years they have always been very quick to deliver, very happy with them, never had any problems, and will definitely be ordering from them again.

No longer as good
I gave this litter five stars three years ago then it clumped better than any I had used in 50 plus years but something has changed as it is now no better than other cheaper products. The clump no longer sticks together but breaks up on removal into smaller bits.

Changed
The product that I got this last time does not clump as before. It now breaks up a lot and uses far more litter than it did. Please revert to original formula as it is now not nearly as good or economical as it was.

Not clumping
As previous reviews, this is not as good as OKO plus.... no clumping takes place. It just breaks into a powder which you can only clean by emptying the whole lot out.

Pros and Cons
We have two European Shorthair tomcats.
Switching from 'Öko plus' was no problem. What we immediately noticed: A lot(!) less litter outside the toilet. No complaints in terms of odour. However, the regular price is quite steep.
Since we still have a large pack of 'Öko plus', we decided to mix them: roughly 2/3 'Nature Gold' and 1/3 'Öko plus'. Still significantly less litter outside and great clumping results.

Expensive fun
For years, I’ve been using Cat’s Best Öko Plus for my four furry friends and was quite satisfied with it. Now I’ve switched to pellet litter, which has been well accepted too. However, it forms very large clumps that often can’t be disposed of cleanly. Small chunks end up in the toilet, and you have to completely change it every few days if you want it to be reasonably hygienic. There’s also dust, and the pellets get scattered all over the bathroom. I won’t be buying it again.
