AI-generated summary based on reviews added by customers
Cat's Best litter has received praise for its excellent clumping and minimal tracking, keeping homes tidy and odour-free. However, recent changes have left some users disappointed, citing issues with dust, inconsistent clumping, and smaller, crumbling pellets. Despite these concerns, many still find it economical and effective, particularly for long-haired cats. Overall, while the product has seen a dip in quality, it remains a favourite for its cleanliness and ease of use.

Made worse while trying to improve.
I was fully convinced by Cat's Best Nature Gold. Unfortunately, with the new version, some features that were important to me have been worsened. Due to the much smaller pellets, the fine dust content has increased significantly! Instead of clumping, it now tends to stick together, and the worst part is that a lot more crumbs are being carried out of the litter box! Previously, it was limited to a small area around the litter box, but now I find them all over the flat!!!! Such a shame, it has really deteriorated.

Price explosion
Since the more affordable twin pack of 2x20 litres is suddenly no longer available, we will no longer be ordering this product here. In a multi-cat household, 20 litres is far too little. The price/performance ratio is no longer acceptable.

The best for me
Very low dust, doesn’t stick to fur or paws, so there’s hardly any mess. Pleasant wood fibre scent. Clumps well enough for me if you wait a bit. Never using another litter again.

In a short time, more waste than ever before.
Doesn't really clump, just sticks together a bit and falls apart immediately when trying to separate dry pellets. Creates a lot of waste in a very short time, so "economical" is out of the question. Searching for the countless small clumps is also quite tedious. However, I will still order this litter again because the pellets don't spread everywhere like my previous bentonite clumping litters did. I was constantly sweeping. I also find it very positive that the pellet litter hardly produces any dust.

Very good
I’ve been looking for a natural cat litter for a long time that I can also use with my long-haired cat, as he used to drag all the regular litters through the entire flat, and I find the "baby powder litters" absolutely disgusting. This one simply smells like wood, and thanks to the extra-large pellets, very little sticks to my cat’s long fur. The absorbency is very good, though you do need to wait a bit for the liquid to solidify in the pellets.

Good idea if accepted
I was really impressed. The pellets don’t stick to the fur at all. However, one of my tomcats wasn’t happy at all and ended up becoming unclean because of this litter. Such a shame. I had to switch back. I haven’t tried the new version.

Shame
I've been using this litter for years and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, the pellets have now been crushed, so they end up scattered all over the house. If the company continues like this, I'll have to consider switching to a different cat litter.

Great product
We have 2 furry cats and 2 nudists, and the litter neither sticks to their fur nor their paws. Unfortunately, it's hard to sift through and doesn't clump very well, so we'll be switching back to Cats Best Original, even though that one tends to spread more around the house.

Quality has deteriorated significantly.
Since the introduction of this litter, I’ve been using it, and both my cats and I were thrilled. However, I’ve unfortunately noticed that the quality has noticeably declined. The clumping no longer works as it used to. You end up throwing away much more litter, which has caused consumption to skyrocket. At first, I thought I might just be imagining it, but the reviews tell a different story.

The best from CB for long-haired breeds
We have now tested all varieties of Cat's Best. This one has the advantage that, due to its very coarse granules, it doesn’t spread as much or as far outside the cat litter box.
However, the large pellets aren’t exactly gentle on cat paws, and scratching in it seems to be quite laborious. Our vacuum cleaner sometimes struggles to pick up the large pellets, which makes cleaning around the litter box a hassle again. And it breaks down faster than the CBÖP.

Quality has really gone downhill, such a shame...
Unfortunately, this litter no longer clumps at all! Because of this, you end up throwing away much more litter than you otherwise would. My tomcat doesn’t want to pee on it anymore either and “sings” a long aria from the toilet first. He’s even peed next to it a few times. Looks like we’ll have to find something else.

Super litter – fewer crumbs than Öko Plus
Since I already consider clumping litter to be the best type of litter and have been using the lightweight, efficient, and low-dust Öko Plus for a long time, I recently discovered this one and I’m thrilled: The larger wood pellets rarely stick to the fur or get caught between the claws – and you can really see the difference in the house. It clumps almost as well as Öko Plus. The clumps are a bit larger, which makes it slightly less efficient.
The only downside: It’s also a bit more expensive.

I was surprised by the high consumption.
So, I examined and observed it closely. When absorbing liquid, the volume of the granules should increase significantly. But it barely does. The clumping seems more like the granules sticking together. The clumps break apart and feel sticky and slimy, like they’ve been mixed with wallpaper paste. This litter is no longer an option for me.

Change in grain size
If the grain size is reduced, that should definitely be mentioned!!!
Now it sticks to the paws again and gets flung out more easily :///
Let’s see how it is in a few weeks when I order again. Otherwise, that’s it for this product, unfortunately.

The mix makes it.
Pellets and Nature Plus mixed together make the best litter for long-haired cats.

Cat's Best Nature Gold Cat Litter
Bought for the first time and both my cats are taking to it very well. Very little litter around the cat tray. Very economical. No unpleasant smells. I'm thrilled!

Not as good as it used to be...... Why?
I have used this litter for a very long time. After having tried many, many different litters, this one was without doubt the best of them all. Pricier than some, much better than the tiny granules of other clumping litters. I have recommended it to so many people. It is with great disappointment that it seems something has changed . Although still good at odour control and tracking , it does not clump anywhere near as well as it used to. Where I used to easily be able to take the clumps out, now it crumbles and you spend ages trying to remove the left over bits. Please whatever you have changed, change it back to how it used to be.... I am almost getting to the point of looking at other litters 😞

Perfect for long-haired cats!
After every trip to the loo, we used to end up with half the flat sprinkled with conventional litter and often found clumps stuck in the long fur of our cats. So, I started looking for a new type of litter and found this one. Of course, there’s still a bit of mess, but it’s nothing compared to fine litter. The clumping effect is excellent, and cleaning with a scoop with large holes is completely hassle-free. Odour control is top-notch, and it’s an entirely natural litter. Wouldn’t use anything else now!

It has changed for the worse
I have been buying this litter for several years, it USED to be good, clumped well, firm pellets that would just roll along the floor and easy to sweep up. It became 'out of stock' a few months ago and when it came back I bought it again.
It has changed, it dissolves into a mush in the tray, has much less clumping ability and the patches of wet litter just fall apart on the scoop.
It is much more like sawdust and the quality is as poor as the OKO Plus which is now absolute rubbish.

Perfect for sick cats!
I have a cat with diabetes, and due to the illness, he has developed neuropathy, meaning he has almost no feeling in his hind legs and ends up stepping in his own urine when covering it up. With this litter, nothing sticks to his paws like it does with regular clumping litter! Plus, you can remove 80% of it. Sure, it doesn’t clump as well as fine clumping litter, but in return, very little litter gets spread around the flat/house. My other healthy cat, however, doesn’t like this litter at all – it’s probably too “coarse” for her. She has her own toilet with fine sand litter (I have 4 litter boxes for 2 cats). But for sick cats, it’s absolutely perfect!!!
