Cat's Best litter has been a favorite for its excellent clumping, odor control, and minimal tracking. Recently, however, users have noticed a decline in quality, with smaller, dustier pellets that crumble and don't clump as effectively, leading to more mess and odor. Despite this, some users still appreciate its odorless nature and ease of cleaning. Many are disappointed and considering switching brands, but others remain loyal due to past satisfaction.

It used to be better.
I've been using this litter for a long time, but unfortunately, its quality has significantly declined. Please, Cats Best, go back to the old formula.

I can’t understand why Cat’s Best has made the change
I bought this as I could not find my usual Cat’s Best for long hair cats which I have used for years... unfortunately the quality is not up to the expectations, as this litter tracks everywhere in the house and it seem to have less odour control than the previous formula. I ‘m disappointed . I can’t understand why Cat’s Best has made the change!

Cat's Best Pellets
Used once, it covers a large area like concrete, and you can't even leave the litter in the toilet for a week. Honestly, it's a bit of an imposition for our furry friends! It does have one advantage: it doesn't stick to paws or fur, so less of it gets carried out of the toilet.

Very good
I use the pellets for my ferrets' litter boxes. They absorb well and don't smell unpleasant. I've been looking for a product like this for a long time.

Now Cat,s worst Nightmare more like
No longer does the job
Used this for years and always been happy with it.Not since it changed to Smart Pellets. It doesn't clump properly, is VERY dusty and is nowhere near as good as it used to be at anything that made it a selling point before the changes. Very disappointing, Lost this customer.

That used to be Cat's Best Gold.
So disappointing, over time not only the name but also the formula has been changed!! Negative developments:
- Beach effect, as the litter has become much lighter,
- Clumps very poorly – everything crumbles when removing it and spreads in the toilet,
- Recently it smells like a toilet – you have to buy fragrance/odour neutralisers to add to it.
The only advantage of this rather expensive litter is its good disposability via the household toilet.
Conclusion: No longer recommended!

Poor
Not sure why Zooplus are still selling this product. It is clearly inferior quality and the buying team should address otherwise overall custom will be lost

Falls apart a bit
Since the Cat's Best Original cat litter tends to crumble when sifting, I started looking for an alternative. I got this and the one from Greenwoods. CB sometimes crumbles; not all the pellets end up back in the tray when sifting because the pieces are too large. However, it spreads less around the house. Photos for comparison have been uploaded, provided they are approved.

Great cat litter
We have two Sacred Birmans. After trying out a few options, we decided on this litter. It has a pleasant, subtle woody scent. When the cats have been in the litter box, you can hardly smell anything. The litter doesn’t stick to their paws or fur. It clumps really well and is very economical. (We’ve repurposed a plastic under-bed storage box and fill it to about 15cm high)...
We’re really satisfied.

no good anymore
I had bought this last year to try, and it was great - clumped well, covered odours... when I bought a replacement, it was a totally different story.
It does not clump at all - each pellet just swells up a bit and breaks in half. Odour control is OK but why spend this much on something that doesn't do what it's supposed to??

Quality has declined!
My tomcat has been using this litter for a year now, but unfortunately, the quality of the product has deteriorated significantly. It no longer absorbs any odours at all. The price for the bulk pack has also gone up.

I wish I could rate "-5"⭐
I've never thought I would rate Nature gold one star.
I've been using it for 5 years and it was brilliant for my Siamese twins until last two bags.
It does not clump, the pellets size is huge, and it does stink after kitties done #1.
I've noticed that twins not really keen to use the litter boxes with Nature gold since the litter formula has been changed.
It's not economical either.
I'm incredibly disappointed.

Drains very quickly
At first, I was very satisfied with the product, but the consumption is very high.
I had to order the litter once a month because it was used up super quickly.
This is not the case with other plant-based types of litter, so I won’t be buying it again.

Conclusion
After almost three months, I have to say, pretty much as always. Now there are even 2x20 l again. Top 👍
I’ve uploaded a photo as well.

Quality
Such a shame. I wonder what happened to this formerly very good product. Apart from that, the unreliable availability for reordering is really annoying.

Very satisfied
We had the problem that our cat (LaPerm) constantly had a wet rear end because even the most expensive litter would always stick to her. On top of that, the litter was spread all over the house. So, we switched a few weeks ago. We are absolutely satisfied with the Smart Pellets—no more wet rear end, no litter scattered throughout the house. We dispose of it via the rubbish bin (brown bin, not the toilet) and have significantly less waste to get rid of than before.

No longer recommended
I used to be thrilled with this litter for years, but the quality has really gone downhill. It feels to me like it’s now just regular wood pellets, the kind you’d use for heating – and even those clump better. I’ve switched to a different litter because one of my cats has started preferring the bathtub or the terrace instead. No longer recommended!

Turns To Dust & Causes Respiratory Issues
The formula for this cat litter has changed, it is much more dustier than it use to be which is noticeable as you empty the bag into the tray. The litter clumps, although not aswell as it use to but also breaks down into dust over time. This dust is irratating my cat nasal passage as she digs into it & i find her sneezing & coughing now. I have to keep sifting thru it to scoop out the dust build up over time. I would avoid this litter if your cat starts sneezing or has asthma.
