The best cat litter I have found and never changed anymore

My cat immediately accepted the switch from bentonite litter to wood fibre. The cat litter is excellent at binding odours and very economical to use, as it can actually be reused for up to 7 weeks without developing unpleasant smells. Additionally, it’s almost dust-free, which my cat really appreciates, and she hasn’t sneezed after using the toilet since. Unfortunately, despite having a closed litter box, the litter is very easily carried out by the cat. Still worth 5 stars.

Superb suction power, quick removal without sticking. No urine smell. You can smell the stool a bit, but that's fine. Dispose of it in the toilet or bin.

I’ve been using this litter for many years and was always impressed. But for some time now, the quality has really gone downhill. It hardly clumps anymore, just forms wet patches in the litter tray that fall apart when you try to remove them. It even looks completely different. Since it can’t be cleaned properly anymore, it doesn’t last as long as it used to either. Such a shame, I’ll be looking for something else…

I've been using it for years and I'm very satisfied with it. It doesn't stick to the cats' paws, so they don't track it around the house. It's also easier to dispose of their business, as it turns moisture into clumps.

As an alternative to bentonite cat litter, we decided to try Cats Best Original, and our cats took to the new litter quite well. However, with the last order, one of the bags contained litter that was very coarse-grained and didn’t clump properly. When scooping it out, the clumps fell apart very quickly, leaving residues in the litter. We find it disappointing that the quality has declined so much, and we are now looking for a new plant fibre-based clumping litter.

We used to really love using this litter. Great clumping, no smell, gentle, etc. But for the past few batches, it’s been an absolute disaster. The clumps fall apart and spread all over the litter tray, meaning you have to replace everything much more often. I contacted the company about it, but they don’t want to hear about it. Such a shame… I’m not the only one in our circle of friends who’s become so dissatisfied either.

The litter used to be better. Unfortunately, the clumps break apart very easily. A positive point is the lightweight.

I've been using this litter for a very long time, but for some time now it hasn't been clumping at all! The granules are much larger (which wouldn't be a problem for me), but it's much darker and, in my opinion, not as dry as it should be anymore. Such a shame, I'm currently trying out alternatives. Cats Best at this price and with the deteriorated quality will no longer be purchased.

I had been VERY happy with this litter in the past. Happy to pay extra as was good at everything apart from the tracking. Theyve changed the composition. Tracking, worse, if thats possible. To extent I felt I was living in a litter tray. No more changed the brand. Cheaper. Does everything with less tracking and cheaper. Happy. But not with cat's best. Never again.

Everything's great, clumps together and does what it's supposed to.

I have 2 long-haired and 2 short-haired cats, and they’ve tried all 3 types. The Sensitive is very fine and, despite the catch mat, ends up everywhere in their fur and on the floor. Odour control and absorbency are excellent. The pellets don’t spread as much and don’t stick to the fur, but they absorb too slowly, especially with bigger messes, to prevent odours. The Original is coarse enough not to dust up the entire flat but fine enough to keep odours at bay.

Unfortunately, I ended up with a batch that doesn’t clump, everything falls apart, and it reeks terribly after 3 days. It used to be the best, but sadly not anymore.

I have used this stuff for pretty much all of my cat's life (she's 15 years now) but the last 2 or 3 orders, they must have changed the composition of the product, but it doesn't matter whether it's the normal cheap one or the more expensive pellets, they don't absorb the pee anymore. So whenever I check the cat ltoilet, there are always pee puddles. Before my cat would pee and it would all get absorbed and clump. So I stopped buying this product altogether. Such a shame.

The large bag used to last 2 months, but now it barely lasts 5 weeks, which amounts to a price increase of almost 50%. After a case of feline diabetes, I always note the date on the bag when I open it – and I’m certain the cat is healthy, but this time it’s the litter that absorbs less and no longer forms clumps. Such a shame, I’ve been using this litter for 10 years and was happy with it. Maybe it’s time for me to look for an alternative.

Grains are too big, doesn't clump.

Such a shame that it's no longer good. Unfortunately, the quality is very poor and it doesn't clump!

Awful. Spreads through the house too easily on little paws. Does not mask urine smell. It clumps,but falls apart on contact. Waste of money.

Unfortunately, the hope that Cats Best might return to its original quality standard has not been fulfilled. It used to be the best litter until it started to become increasingly dusty while getting more expensive, and now we’re left with a wood-based litter that doesn’t even reliably form clumps (they crumble very easily and contaminate the base filling) and still produces dust. Others can now do a much better job for this price.
