great cat litter
Looked for an alternative litter when my supermarket discontinued their own brand wood pellet litter. This is expensive but because liquids clump together and are easily removed it can be used for weeks & doesn't smell at all. I wouldn't risk flushing down the toilet but compost the used litter when changing.The only downside is it sometimes sticks to paws and gets scattered but this was mostly solved by using a hooded tray and I feel is a small inconvenience compared to the effectiveness.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous reviewers. First, my Jeany started "digging" in the litter box, which for her means that she didn’t like the litter.
When cleaning it, I understood why – the clumps that were supposed to form weren’t there.
Maybe this could be changed again, please?

Previously excellent, now just average.
I was thrilled with the litter, especially because disposal was so easy. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated. This litter now produces dust and becomes powdery after a certain period of time. Since I immediately dispose of the loose clumps, I still don’t have any odour issues. Previously, the clumps were as hard as concrete, but now the urine stays on the surface for a while. It feels like a gel to me. If I find another litter that can also be disposed of via the toilet, I will switch.

Been using it for years and still absolutely satisfied!
I’ve been using this litter for several years now. I fill the cat litter trays very generously with it, and it has a pleasantly natural smell (I have a sensitive nose myself and absolutely can’t stand the smell of other litters mixed with cat urine). A single (high!) filling lasts me 4 to 8 weeks, and it doesn’t stink at all! The key with this litter is to make sure you use enough and sift carefully so the clumps don’t break apart while sifting.

Disappointed
I don't think the price-performance ratio is good. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long, and it also doesn't neutralise odours as quickly as some other products. Won't be ordering it again.

Messy
This litter is not totally terrible. It clumps nicely. I've seen worse. But it's so light that it gets stuck to cat's paws and furr and gets everywhere. Half of my house is covered in it every tim the cat uses it. Benek is so much better.

Clumps well but tracks
Have been using this for our DSH for over a year and not spotted any major issues until we got a long haired cat and this litter tracks everywhere, gets into his paws, his tail etc.
On the plus side it does clump well if you leave it for a while and is easy to scoop out -not to heavy.

Got worse
I can only agree with the previous reviewers here. At first, it was just a subjective feeling that the cat litter had gotten worse, but now I’m certain that it has. I switched to it because it’s much cheaper than Best World Litter, but now it’s just downright awful.

Very good litter
The good thing about this litter is that it doesn’t create excessive dust when you pour it out. The cats tolerate it well and have no issues with it. The litter absorbs odours very effectively. Another advantage is that you can flush it down the toilet.

There's simply nothing better!
Cat's Best cat litter is unbeatable. The high price might seem off-putting at first, but it's so efficient that it lasts much longer than conventional litter (we've tried quite a few!). This actually makes it cheaper overall. The easy disposal in the toilet is very convenient. On top of that, the litter is significantly better at odour control than regular ones and is also environmentally friendly. Our tomcats and we are completely satisfied with it. What more could you want?

what a mess
It clumps well but I have to keep brushing the floor every time the cats use the tray as the chips get caught in the cat's fur and they trace it around the house.

Good - but it used to be much better.
My tomcat is now almost 16 years old, and I have never used any other litter than this one. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been as great as it used to be for some time now. It crumbles and gets tracked out of the litter box more easily. Such a shame.
But for me, there’s hardly an alternative; clay is out of the question.

It used to be very good.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the opinions of many others here. I’ve been using this cat litter for a long time because it was absolutely brilliant. But now I’ve noticed that the litter no longer "neutralises" odours – the litter tray smells after just one use. The clumps crumble... such a shame!

Used to be great - now really lacking
I’ve been using this litter for many, many years (at least 7 years) and was always satisfied. No smell, clumped wonderfully, and you could dispose of it in the toilet. The base litter lasted a very long time.
But with the new design, the problems started – it hardly clumps anymore, the smell is no longer absorbed, which is the biggest issue for me, and the consumption has also increased...
For the price... very disappointing.

From fan to complainer... me too!
Unfortunately, since the packaging has changed, the absorbency quality of the litter has become much worse. The urine "sits" on the surface of the litter, so the urine clumps no longer dry properly and crumble into many pieces when removed from the tray! It's also true that the cat urine starts to smell due to the lack of proper clumping and drying. I now have to clean my three litter trays much more often, and the consumption of cat litter has increased significantly.

Used to be better!
We've been using Cats Best Original (formerly Öko Plus) for years because our two cats wouldn't accept any other litter.
The problem:
Something has been changed. While it still clumps, the clumps often fall apart when scooping them out, leaving small bits in the litter tray that are almost impossible to remove.
I can't confirm that it no longer absorbs odours. Even with the "new" formula, our litter tray doesn't smell.
Unfortunately, there's no alternative :-(

Worse cat litter ever!!
This litter is a total nightmare, it literally gets tracked everywhere and I mean everywhere. Have never used a worse litter. I can’t comment on whether it’s actually any good as I binned it after 6 hours as I couldn’t cope with the tracking. Back to tigerino

Satisfied

After reading so many negative reviews, we were a bit sceptical. However, our large domestic shorthair and we are completely satisfied with the litter. It absorbs well, hardly produces any dust, and our cat enthusiastically digs in a thick layer of it. The only thing that could be improved is the odour control.
