I can only agree with the previous reviewers here. At first, it was just a subjective feeling that the cat litter had gotten worse, but now I’m certain that it has. I switched to it because it’s much cheaper than Best World Litter, but now it’s just downright awful.

The good thing about this litter is that it doesn’t create excessive dust when you pour it out. The cats tolerate it well and have no issues with it. The litter absorbs odours very effectively. Another advantage is that you can flush it down the toilet.

It clumps well but I have to keep brushing the floor every time the cats use the tray as the chips get caught in the cat's fur and they trace it around the house.

Cat's Best cat litter is unbeatable. The high price might seem off-putting at first, but it's so efficient that it lasts much longer than conventional litter (we've tried quite a few!). This actually makes it cheaper overall. The easy disposal in the toilet is very convenient. On top of that, the litter is significantly better at odour control than regular ones and is also environmentally friendly. Our tomcats and we are completely satisfied with it. What more could you want?

My tomcat is now almost 16 years old, and I have never used any other litter than this one. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been as great as it used to be for some time now. It crumbles and gets tracked out of the litter box more easily. Such a shame. But for me, there’s hardly an alternative; clay is out of the question.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the opinions of many others here. I’ve been using this cat litter for a long time because it was absolutely brilliant. But now I’ve noticed that the litter no longer "neutralises" odours – the litter tray smells after just one use. The clumps crumble... such a shame!

I’ve been using this litter for many, many years (at least 7 years) and was always satisfied. No smell, clumped wonderfully, and you could dispose of it in the toilet. The base litter lasted a very long time. But with the new design, the problems started – it hardly clumps anymore, the smell is no longer absorbed, which is the biggest issue for me, and the consumption has also increased... For the price... very disappointing.

Unfortunately, since the packaging has changed, the absorbency quality of the litter has become much worse. The urine "sits" on the surface of the litter, so the urine clumps no longer dry properly and crumble into many pieces when removed from the tray! It's also true that the cat urine starts to smell due to the lack of proper clumping and drying. I now have to clean my three litter trays much more often, and the consumption of cat litter has increased significantly.

We've been using Cats Best Original (formerly Öko Plus) for years because our two cats wouldn't accept any other litter. The problem: Something has been changed. While it still clumps, the clumps often fall apart when scooping them out, leaving small bits in the litter tray that are almost impossible to remove. I can't confirm that it no longer absorbs odours. Even with the "new" formula, our litter tray doesn't smell. Unfortunately, there's no alternative :-(

This litter is a total nightmare, it literally gets tracked everywhere and I mean everywhere. Have never used a worse litter. I can’t comment on whether it’s actually any good as I binned it after 6 hours as I couldn’t cope with the tracking. Back to tigerino

Finally found something great. The only downside is that it spreads throughout the entire flat. But you can't have everything.

While searching for the right litter, we came across Cat's Best. Initially, I didn’t want clumping litter, but it’s honestly really great. The cats get on really well with it, it clumps nicely, and it’s easy to clean. Occasionally, there’s a slight smell, but it’s nothing compared to other types of cat litter.

After reading so many negative reviews, we were a bit sceptical. However, our large domestic shorthair and we are completely satisfied with the litter. It absorbs well, hardly produces any dust, and our cat enthusiastically digs in a thick layer of it. The only thing that could be improved is the odour control.

Only this variety is accepted by my cat, economical to use due to clumping, and the litter tray is virtually odourless.

We’ve tried everything. Without exception, all litters except this one start to smell despite cleaning several times a day. Most of them are also very dusty. Cats might prefer other litters and it could clump a bit better, BUT it doesn’t get carried around the house, it’s not dusty, and it doesn’t smell at all, even at 38 degrees outside. We now only use Cats Best Original.

I've been using this as bedding for my rabbits for years. So far, I haven't found a better bedding that can also be eaten in a pinch. Excellent odour control! However, it's very expensive. On the plus side, you don't use much of it.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous reviews. After years of satisfaction, I will no longer be buying this litter. This previously very pleasant litter no longer clumps properly but falls apart, settles as "grit" on the bottom of the cat litter tray, and no longer binds odours as effectively as it used to. Such a shame.

used to use this a lot but recently seems to have changed. smells bad, no longer clumps properly and seems to be made differently. used to be made of wood pellets and it smelled like fresh sawn wood now it just crumbles to dust and smells horrible. Won't be buying any more

Great absorbent cat litter, binds odours very well, and the litter outside the tray is kept to a minimum, though better than the "sandy litter". Extremely economical compared to other types of cat litter. I definitely wouldn’t recommend flushing it down the toilet. So far, it’s the best litter overall in terms of weight, clumping, compatibility, and acceptance – the best litter for my two tomcats.

Had no probblem with the product at all been buying this cat litter for 3 months been great. As been using from 4 week old kittys know they 4 months. All good told friends and family
