AI-generated summary based on reviews added by customers
Cat's Best Original cat litter has received mixed reviews. Many customers appreciate its excellent clumping ability and odour control, making it a favourite for years. However, recent changes in the formula have led to complaints about increased dustiness, poor clumping, and tracking issues. Despite these concerns, some users still find it economical and effective, highlighting its lightweight nature and pleasant woody scent. Overall, it's a product that has its ups and downs depending on individual preferences.

Great litter!
I'm thrilled with the litter!
The flat no longer smells like a mix of cat urine and baby powder. Now there's just a faint woody scent, which I find pleasant.
The clumping ability is outstanding!
The only downside is that my cats tend to scatter the litter around the flat quite a bit, but that's happened with every litter I've tried so far. On the plus side, there's far less dust.
I can really only recommend it!

Very, very good
This is the only cat litter I can use with a clear conscience. It clumps really well and controls odours effectively. Sensitive cat paws are also happy that it’s not so rough. My furry little tigers are quite particular about that.

Best litter
Super litter, our cats love it. We can simply flush it down the toilet.

If you think your cat's bowels contain a portal to hell, this is for you
About two months after we got her, we realised that the litter we got until then did virtually nothing to get rid of the smell that made us believe our kitten had a portal to hell within her bowels. The smell was extreme and permeated EVERYTHING.
Friends recommended Cat's Best, and the change was dramatic. The smell is effectively gone. Even when scooping the litter, it faintly smells of wood chips. It clumps well and is flushable. We can't recommend it enough.

Worth a try without breaking the bank
I recently started looking for an alternative to Worlds Best that has become dusty and unusable. I'm so glad I ignored the negative reviews. I ordered a smaller pack to test whether the cats would like it and whether it did the job. Well, after a couple of days I ordered a bigger pack! Clumps well but I'd recommend taking out the clumps as soon as possible as they tend to fall apart if stuck to the side to the litter tray. Hopefully this one stays almost dust-free and the way it is.

The holy grail of cat litter
I have been trying numerous different cat litters over the past few years and arrived at this one when the shops ran out of the last one I tolerated buying. I cannot believe the difference, not only is this flushable and biodegradable, it does not smell! Usually after a couple of days of changing the tray gets smelly but with this I'm already over a week in and not a hint of a whiff!
Tiberius is likes it and I love it. We have found a winner!

Not recommended
I bought this product based on recommendations. Unfortunately, I deeply regret it! Until now, I had been using Biokats litter and was looking for a better alternative. Now I’m back to using Biokats and am completely satisfied. Regarding Cats Best litter:
- The flat smells like a rabbit hutch
- The litter gets spread all over the flat
- The litter sticks to the fur of long-haired cats and gets tangled
- It smells absolutely awful when mixed with urine

Best litter ever
I have been using Cat's Best Original continuously for at least 14 years, after trying out several types of cat litter that all my cats rejected.
However, I wonder which litter some people are reviewing! Because the litter in all the 40-litre bags I receive from Zooplus doesn’t produce any dust at all.
There’s no dust next to the litter boxes, even with three cats.

Excessive dust formation
Smells pleasantly of wood, coarse-grained (5mm), a 20-litre bag is enough for one complete filling.
My cats sink very deeply into it, so they only like it to a certain extent. Clumping is okay, but it's quite soft. Odour control is excellent.
Clumps can be disposed of individually in the toilet (check beforehand if this is allowed), but they should soften a bit first.
Unfortunately, the litter is extremely dusty, much more so than bentonite, whether during filling, sieving, or burying. My cats prefer bentonite and use the eco litter only about a quarter of the time.

Mess around
i am trying to find the best clumping cat litter. This one is fine but every time the cats walk out from the cat litter they take out a lot of it on their feet. Shame I cannot post the picture. Not good to keeptge house clean.
Keeps getting worse
I switched to Cat's Best Original years ago. Back then, I thought the litter was really great. In the meantime, I stopped using it because I didn’t like it anymore. Now I’ve tried it again, but I’m still disappointed. The granules have become very large, which means the clumps don’t hold together and fall apart when you try to remove them. As a result, you end up using significantly more litter. And the odour control is very poor. Such a shame :-(

eco-friendly
It is expensive, but environmentally friendly, so highly recommended.

Best cat litter
Best cat litter, although it's been terribly dusty for the past year 😉 Maybe the manufacturer could go back to the old formula. Clumps brilliantly, very economical. However, it does tend to spread around the house. You just need to grab a broom and dustpan now and then. It can also be disposed of in small amounts in the toilet and is excellent when mixed with sand and soil for planting pond plants 👍🏻

Getting dusty lately
It’s been getting very dusty lately when cleaning the toilet or when my tomcat does his business and has to dig a deep hole... it gets “foggy” in the toilet...

DOES THE JOB
Out of necessity, can't go to shops or get a delivery, have had to find an alternative to my usual supermarket litter. Unlike my normal one, this is a clumping litter which I am okay with. It lasts well, it doesn't smell and it does the job very well. However, I can't abide the tracking of the small grains (very similar in looks and size as porridge oats). It tracks all over the house and it looks constantly as if I haven't swept or vacuumed for days, which I now have to do repeatedly.

Best cat litter
I think it's great that you can simply dispose of it in the toilet.

Good cat litter
Our 4 cats get along well with it. It clumps nicely, doesn’t smell, and is very economical. We’ll continue to use it in the future. A very good choice.

Disappointed
The best thing, of course, is that it's made of wood and organic materials. It's soft, and the cats' paws love scratching at it. Urine is quickly absorbed, and the clumps are easy to dispose of. After three weeks of daily cleaning of urine and faeces from the litter box, there's no noticeable odour. Hence, 3 stars. Points deducted for the litter being spread all over the flat, the bed, and everywhere else. I don't have long-haired cats, so it doesn't stick to their fur. Still, the litter is scattered around the flat worse than any other cat litter I've used before.
