The ModKat Cat Litter Box stands out due to its innovative shape and modern design. The high-quality plastic is extremely robust. It will look great in any room as it doesn't look like a cat litter box.

This ModKat Cat Litter Box provides entry from above. The litter box is 38cm tall and provides a private, secure place with plenty of space to scrape away without strewing litter all over the place. Once your cat's done its business, it can immediately jump out. The small holes on the roof serve as a mat to brush of bits of litter and have them fall back down into the litter box. There is a litter scoop included with the product, which can be hung on the hook at the side of the side of the litter box, ready for when you need it.

Modkat means cleanliness. It comes with a scratch-proof litter insert that with its fortified edges fits perfectly inside the ModKat Cat Litter Box. For cleaning out, remove the lid and clean the litter box as you normally would. For a deep cleaning, remove the insert by the loops, take it to the rubbish bin, dispose of the litter and clean the insert under running water. Dry off the insert, put it back inside the ModKat Cat Litter Box, add in fresh litter, and that's that. A layer of litter 8 - 10 cm high should protect the insert from getting scratched.

To get your cat used to the new litter box and the rooftop access, simply place the ModKat Cat Litter Box where your old litter box used to be. Your cat will quickly learn to appreciate the advantages of this functional and fashionable litter box.

Poor experience

Liners leak causing smelly, dripping urine when removed for cleaning. Over 8cm depth litter used. Exceedingly disappointed.

Perfect

Excellent litter box. It took my cats a little time to adjust to it, so I had the lid off at first but once they got the hang of it I put the lid back on and there was no further issue. It held up for several years for me, until I fainted in my bathroom one evening and landed on top of the tray which broke the clips for the lid so that no longer stays in place. Had I not fainted on it, it would still be intact! My only gripe is that the liners aren't entirely claw proof. Buying another soon!

I got the XL size as I have two cats. I chose this to stop litter scattering over floor as one my cats is a digger.

Stylish but pointless

Our two six-month-old kittens refuse to use this litter box, to the point where if we try to put them in it they struggle to get away as if their life depended on it. It's very strange because they love jumping and playing in cardboard boxes, but I guess cats enjoy being contrary. It's a shame because it looks really good and seems sturdy and well-made. A stylish, expensive mistake.

Super!!!

The best thing that could ever happen to us 😀! My cat used to always jump out of the litter box and scratch a lot, which meant there was always loads of litter scattered around. Since we got this one, we hardly have any litter in the house anymore! Absolutely recommend it. The quality is top-notch too, it still looks brand new after a year! Totally worth every penny and highly recommended!!

Miskolc cat litter box

This is very nice looking box. But is it hygenic? My cat pees soaked into hems and it is not possible to wash properly. Any solutions how to keep clean?

Super cat litter box

I normally don’t write reviews, but I have to for this product. I’ve had this cat litter box (2 units) since 2014 and I’m still impressed by the quality, usability, and handling. Even after all these years, there’s nothing to complain about. My cat (around 15 years old), who is sadly now without her friend (who passed away at 20), would surely agree with this.

Beautiful design, no litter on the floor

We have a relatively small bathroom, so we were looking for a cat litter box that doesn’t take up too much space and blends well with the bathroom decor. We also wanted a litter box with a top entry. With Modkat, we found the perfect solution and are very happy with it. Our 12-week-old kitten took to it straight away. We hardly have any litter on the floor either.

My kittens use it

While looking for a litter box that blends harmoniously into the home, I came across the Modkat. Although my 12-week-old kittens weren’t familiar with something like this, they took to it well. However, you should use already-used litter for the initial filling. One star deducted because I’ve only had the litter box for two days, so I can’t provide a long-term review.

Great litter box

It was all new to me when I got my first kitten and bought quite expensive litter box with a door. I used to dislike it a lot and it was really difficult to clean. But the worse was the trailing or me watching my cat throwing the litter out when digging. The mess was just so annoying. I did much search and when found Modko I couldnt quite talk myself into spending that much money. But I finally decided to buy it and I am so glad I did. I will definitely recommend it!

Yes it’s big

After a lot of research and lots of time reading reviews I finally decided to buy it … first impression is great! The plastic is very thick feels very durable, size wise is big I know on pictures looks small but it’s not ! Am happy i get it ! So far looks very beautiful!

Fantastic product but not able to source replacement liners

Expensive, yes but does a great job at keeping things clean, offers privacy for your cat (some cats prefer this) and looks like new even after years. I have two and used to recommend them to everyone, but Zooplus haven't stocked the liners for over a year and Amazon charge £32 for 3 (was £6.99 for 1 here). You can use the box without a liner, but they keep the tray from getting scratched inside which minimises smells and cleaning time.

Fantastic

Can’t believe I bought this cat litter box in 2016 and yet it looks as new. It’s been used by three Ragdoll cats, although the older one no longer likes it as he’s so large and his weight is over a stone and he’s really too big to sit in it anymore. I’ve got a few boxes as I volunteer at animal rescue and like plenty of choices for the pets and this is by far the nicest one and easy to clean and discreetly sits anywhere.

Practical and space-saving

I've had this model for a few months now and I'm very satisfied. The height of the inlay is sufficient for my rather small cats, so nothing ends up outside even when they're standing, and it's also easy to clean. Since I've been using it, there's noticeably less litter on the floor compared to litter boxes with a side entrance (even with an additional catch mat).

Doesn't laste long

Bought 2 modkats. After 6 months the first one gave out (plastic lip from lip snapped off) and now the second one has gone too. I do have two Maine Coons (6 and 7kg) so maybe their just too heavy for the lid

Best cat litter box ever

Since I have dogs in the house, they were constantly sneaking snacks from the cat litter box and messing up the entire area. Then I came across the Motkat cat litter box and tried to make it appealing to my cat. For her, it was natural to start using it straight away. And look at that—it works brilliantly! The litter stays inside, and the dog's head stays outside.

I love it

There’s nothing to complain about. It’s just as easy to handle as I imagined. With the old standard litter box, it used to take me twice as long to clean it, just trying to get that annoying lid off. The Modkat is sleek and elegant in design, fitting perfectly in our bathroom. You can even handle it with one hand. The cat took to it on the very same day, and after 2-3 days, she had completely figured it out. She’s only 4 1/2 months old. Thumbs up!
