The collected litter can easily be poured out of the side opening back into the litter tray or into the bin. The top layer is pleasantly soft and easy on the paws. The underside is waterproof. This mat is ideal for use with fine litter or cat litter sand.

Cheap material, too expensive for what it is
This product is not worth almost £10. It's a layered piece of plastic that can't be washed. It kind of works, but larger litter just sits on top.

Harmful chemical odour
I was very disappointed with this cat litter mat due to its extremely strong plastic or chemical odour. The smell is so overpowering that it’s unpleasant even for humans, which immediately raised concerns for me as a cat owner. Cats have a much more sensitive sense of smell, and placing this mat near the litter box would expose them to the odour constantly. It could cause discomfort or even potential health issues if inhaled over time. Unfortunately, the strong smell makes the product unusable.

The mat is not suitable.
The mat doesn’t hold any litter, it’s too thin, the litter collects underneath the mat and sticks to it.
The cats prefer to walk/jump next to the mat rather than stepping on it. With 9 adult cats and 3 kittens, it’s an absolute mess.
Conclusion: completely useless.

My tomcat hates it...

Years ago, I bought the previous version of this litter-catching mat. My cat loves it. And the mat does what it's supposed to do without the scattered litter being overly visible.
Since the old mat has seen better days, I ordered a new one and was disappointed when it arrived. The pattern is much coarser, and it catches litter less effectively.

Perfect!
I bought two rugs despite some of the negative reviews. I let them air out outside for about 2 hours, and after that, the plastic smell was gone. They meet my expectations very well.
