Cats are very clean animals and a clean litter tray makes an important contribution to their general well-being. Nature's Calling is an innovative cat litter that is up to 6 times more odour-binding than conventional litter. It also quickly forms clumps on contact with liquid, allowing you to keep the litter tray clean and fresh for up to 30 days by simply scooping out the faeces.

Nature's Calling Cat Litter is made from 100% walnut shells, which means it hardly creates any dust and is completely biodegradable. Walnut shells decompose gradually over time, are 100% natural and produce no waste. This not only makes your cat happy, but also the environment.

This walnut shell cat litter is widely appreciated for its excellent clumping ability, making cleanup easier. Cats seem to prefer it over other litters, and it has low odour. However, it is quite dusty and can spread around the home, with its dark brown colour making it hard to spot waste. Despite being expensive, many find it economical in use and a favourite among natural litters.

BUT...

It's a very good litter BUT a layer of it gets on everything and it being brown you can see it , so unfortunately I'm looking for a different one

Prima Cat Litter

I am very satisfied, as it clumps very well, making it economical and easy to remove the waste. Both cats accepted it immediately and prefer it over the usual litter (Cat's Best). Unfortunately, it is expensive. Otherwise, I would only buy this.

Unfortunately, not recommended.

The idea of making cat litter from walnut shells and offering it for free to try out was a great initiative. Positive: My cats accepted the litter well. The smell disappeared after an hour. Negative: Very dusty, cats spread the litter around the flat. Does not clump at all. I had a thin layer of regular clumping litter underneath. In combination, it clumped a little. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product!

Dusty, but effective

This cat litter definitely is quite dusty, but mainly only when you pour it into the tray. However it's currently my favourite of the "natural" style ones because it does actually clump properly, making cleanup much easier. It looks kind of like coffee grounds, which I think helps to trick me into thinking it smells better than a lot of other litters. Does seem weird that it comes in a very plastic-heavy packaging for an "eco" product.

Great litter

Great litter it is dusty but much safer than other clumping litters being organic, very easy to scoop and my cats love using this. I’ve been using this for half a year now with no problems, always in stock which is a plus

My cats are fans!!!

Since I ordered this litter to test it out, my two cats haven’t wanted anything else. I filled one litter box with it and the other with their usual litter (made from maize fibre) – which they completely stopped using. They’re absolute fans, the acceptance is incredible. The dark brown colour is, well, not great, but if they like it so much... Tracking is manageable and comparable to my previous litter. Dust formation could be less!!! Unfortunately expensive, but economical in use.

Not for us

This cat litter is very good in terms of clumping. Unfortunately, it’s not as sustainable as claimed. When my tomcat leaves the litter box, he spreads the litter stuck to his paws everywhere, so I’m constantly having to go around with the vacuum cleaner. I’ll never order it again.

Cat litter

After 6 years, I finally discovered my little one's allergy – bentonite! Now his fur is growing back again. It's a great litter, even though it's very dark. Unfortunately, it's anything but dust-free, but for my big boy, I’m willing to put up with it and order it regularly.

Super

All four of my cats like this litter. We use different types of litter in the various litter boxes, but this one always has to be available because my previously messy tomcat prefers it. It's hard to tell if the litter is dirty due to its dark colour, but there are worse things. The dust is manageable, not as bad as with other litters.

Best clumping litter yet

Hardly any scatter which is incredible from one of my young cats who loves to dig. Low odour, easy clumping (can stick to bottom of even deep trays), biodegradable and flushable in small amounts. Very low dust and the best litter in this category I have found so far.

Smells musty

It clumps well and spreads around the flat a bit less. However, I have the impression that my flat now smells musty. And it's hard to find the leftovers.

Actually, a great litter.

It has only one, for me crucial, drawback: because it is deep dark brown, you can’t immediately see if something needs to be removed from it. At least not if the litter box isn’t in the brightest light, but for example under the sink. Like it is at my place. That’s why I won’t buy it again.

Best litter for my Mainecoons

When I originally got my Mainecoons last yr I used breeder celect the first 6 bags I had were totally different to the others I purchased so no doubt they'd changed the 'recipe' the stench from the new stuff was unbearable even though I was doing a complete change every other day. I've tried many litters in-between . I've used this for the past 3 months now and this is the best I've tried. Easy to clean slight track but that's to be expected very little dust, all natural clumps extremely well

It’s flushable 🙂

I have a Litter Robot and 2 large top entry boxes. I mix this litter in with another flushable cat litter (Worlds Best flushable corn litter). This litter is fine and works well in the Litter Robot and in the litter boxes. I have no issues with tracking. Not sure if I’d use it on its own. But mixed with the other litter it works well.

Brilliant

Used another plant based litter but my Dyson won't pick it up, so decided to give this a go. BRILLIANT, can't fault it. Transitioned over from original litter and cats are all happy. I have 2 Maine Coons & 1 Scottish Fold. Clumps Great, Doesn't smell, Lasts well. Vacuums up easily. Cats like it.

Bedding made from walnut shells

Ordered as a trial, it was very happily used by my cats. The other litter boxes with my usual plant fibre litter were ignored, as everyone wanted to use the box with the new litter. It smells pleasant, is easy to remove, doesn’t stick to their paws, is very fine and has a medium brown colour. It absorbs well and forms clumps that are easy to remove, and so far it’s been quite economical in use.

Brilliant!!

I ordered Nature’s Calling cat litter to try it out. Based purely on the product itself, I would give it 5 stars. Excellent clumping, very fine-grained, and doesn’t create dust. Definitely highly recommended. The cats took to it straight away, even though at first glance, the very dark colour made it seem otherwise. One star deducted for the irritating packaging of such a sustainable product in plastic. Also, it’s quite pricey for a multi-cat household unless it’s on offer.

Holy grail of cat litter

I came to Zooplus to buy this litter after reading the 182 Amazon 5 star reviews (no idea why the reviews here are so bad!) But this litter is literally the business. Yes, it tracks a little and is brown (look, it's made of walnuts which are also brown), but the odour control (which is my #1 concern with 2 cats) is phenomenal. My cats took to it immediately and honestly, I will be buying this litter forever

The best litter so far

This is the best litter, there's no dust I've got four Maine coons and a ragdoll this litter doesn't stick to there feet so no litter trailed around the house there is a slight smell but not like other cat litters that leave a horrible sour smell, i Will continue to use this litter.
