Great toy, as long as you respect its limits
Today, I threw the egg into the snow for my 10-month-old Retriever mix. He spent ages playing with it and it really tired him out. At some point, though, you should end the game and focus on your dog again, so he doesn’t get completely worked up, as he can only chase the egg without ever achieving a sense of success. In my opinion, as long as you don’t constantly give your dog the egg for self-entertainment and continue to actively engage with him yourself, it’s a great toy. But as I said, only in moderation.

Unfortunately, not suitable for dogs...
I first saw the egg at a dog event and wondered how my dog's play instinct would cope with it. After all, a dog feels validated during play with a substitute prey (and that's what every toy is) when they can hold and carry it. I tried it out with my Malinois female. At first, she went completely "crazy" over the egg and then got frustrated because she couldn't get a grip on it. It looked funny, but for her, it was just stress and not real play. Eventually, she gave up, feeling dejected. I prefer to actively play together with my dog using two toys, incorporating small exercises and then confirming her. That way, both of us have fun, and the dog learns something in the process.

constant occupation
The "egg" delivers exactly what the description promises... my Doberman "Henry" absolutely loves it and keeps himself entertained with it perfectly on his own... just as I had imagined it. The price isn't exactly cheap, but I've bought expensive toys before that were completely destroyed after just a few days... the "egg" is still holding up because it doesn't fit in his mouth, so Henry is still enthusiastically and uncontrollably pushing it around in front of him. It's definitely money well spent!

Super Egg!
Jacky goes absolutely mad when he plays with the egg. He can spend ages with it. He loves it.

Absolutely mind-blowing!
Our JRT goes absolutely crazy when he sees the egg. When it arrived, he pulled it out of the package all by himself and freed it from the net it was wrapped in. Then the fun really began... :-)))

Not just an egg for the Easter Bunny
Absolutely brilliant, my Malinois mix is totally obsessed with the egg.
As soon as she sees the egg, she goes absolutely crazy – really fantastic!

The gameplay leaves much to be desired.
I bought it for my German Shepherd, but she has absolutely no interest in the egg. Firstly, it looks very cheap in terms of design, more like an Easter decoration than anything else. And as I said, my dog has no use for it, nor do four other dogs. So, for £19, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The idea is brilliant.
My Border Collie mix, Felix, goes absolutely crazy when he sees me bring out the egg to play. He can hardly wait for the fun to start.
However, since he loves to fetch, he constantly tries to bite into it. Unfortunately, he’s already succeeded several times, and the first holes are now visible. Due to his attempts to "grab" it, scratches and edges can easily form, which might lead to a bleeding mouth.
I agree with one of the previous reviewers:
The egg should be larger for medium to large dogs that love to fetch! And perhaps it could also have slightly thicker walls.
But when used under supervision, the egg is BRILLIANT and brings the dog loads of fun.

Broken after three days.
Our dog chewed the toy to pieces after three days.

Real gaming fun
This egg is just perfect for our 11-month-old Dalmatian. He can't get enough of it and is completely worn out after playing. It's simply fun to watch him. Also great for playing together. And – finally, a toy that he hasn’t destroyed within a very short time. Minor downside: the dirt that gets stuck in the scratch marks makes the egg look shabby quite quickly. But the fun is totally worth it!

Brilliant...
Our old boy, as we lovingly call him, almost lost his mind. He played with it like crazy, and we had to take it away from him at times so he wouldn’t completely wear himself out...
Great investment – I’ll be ordering one for my sister’s dog straight away!

Simple gaming fun
So, I treated my little Frenchie lady to this toy as well... At first, she was a bit scared of this giant yellow egg, but when we take it outside, she’s absolutely thrilled. She even forgets about doing her business, so whenever we take the egg out with us, we always have to bring a bag to hide it in. Our Amy is completely over the moon, and we are too, of course. She plays with it so enthusiastically, and it keeps her entertained for easily over an hour. Afterwards, she’s always completely knackered.

Review of RunninGegg
My dog – a Giant Schnauzer – thinks this thing is brilliant.
The play value is high.
Unfortunately, the description "for large dogs" is a bit off, as he managed to turn it into the foundation for a tea strainer in no time. Either the egg is too small or the wall thickness is too thin.

Great toy!!
This toy is perfect for a shared game between dog and owner. It's suitable for all weather conditions, floats, is easy to clean, and is a real eye-catcher for others too. :-)

Initially interesting
When my MIKA got this toy for the first time, he found it very interesting. It was also fun to watch. Unfortunately, because he can't grip it, it quickly became uninteresting. Sadly, this turned out to be an expensive mistake.

Unfortunately, not a toy.
Unfortunately, the purchase was a bad investment.
Our Lab "SAM" is crazy about balls, but he’s not interested in this one at all.
He wants to fetch it, but sadly he can’t because he can’t grip it with his mouth.

A brilliant invention. Our dog simply can't stop playing with it. However, since we also have a very small dog, it would be great if this egg came in a smaller version too. Our little one is a bit scared of bigger things.
