We ordered this scratching post for our two British Shorthair kittens and are absolutely thrilled! The post is top-notch quality, very well made, and the kittens love it. They can see a lot from the top and even have something to play with. They both sit up there together (for now, as they’re only 12 weeks old), even though the surface isn’t very big, and they’re having a blast. Simply brilliant!

We already own a few scratching posts, but they’re only used by the little one, who’s an absolute climbing enthusiast. For the big one, the windowsill is the highest point, and when it comes to proper scratching, the sisal poles on the scratching posts were always too short or awkwardly positioned for her. So, we needed something that would allow her to properly sharpen her claws – and not on the old sofa anymore. At first, I considered a scratching barrel, but good models tend to be quite expensive, and the caves wouldn’t be appealing to my two cats. Then I looked around here and was initially sceptical because this scratching post had only received one review. The cheaper alternative (Jumbo Scratching Post) didn’t seem to be of high enough quality, so I took the plunge and ordered this model – and I’m thrilled. Very quick to assemble, holds firmly in place, doesn’t wobble at all. At 1.20m tall, it’s also attractive as a climbing pole for the little one, who loves sitting like an owl on the top and pecking at the attached toy from above. And the big one can finally stretch out fully and scratch with all her strength. I’m very confident that the sisal around the post will stay in excellent condition for a long time; it feels very sturdy and durable. A wholehearted recommendation, definitely suitable for Maine Coon or forest cat owners too!

We bought this great scratching post for our big furballs to go along with the large cat tree. They have fun with it every day, and despite all the climbing and scratching, it hasn’t toppled over yet ;)
