Great sturdy scratching post - even after 2 years
I ordered the scratching post almost 2 years ago for my two tomcats. In addition to the scratching tree, they were supposed to have a long post where they could stretch out to scratch and even climb up occasionally. Both cats are big and heavy, but the scratching post handles it brilliantly! The base plate is thick and heavy – though it could be even heavier, as it does occasionally slide a bit when one of them jumps on it. But the sisal and everything else are still TOP even after 2 years!

The cats love it!
Over all I am super happy with this purchase! It is very very sturdy, I have a extremely energetic and bouncy cat. He has the tenancy to destroy a lot of things, normally without meaning to as he is very very strong. So far he has done his best to shred, jump on, bounce off of and run up this post. It looks to me like it was designed for lions. So I hope it stands up to my boy :D

Perfect for big cats!
This is the best cat post i've ever bought. Great quality and price. Its huge and very sturdy. I have 7 cats including 2 large maine coons, and they all love to scratch and climb this so it needs to be strong and be able to withstand a lot, and this certainly does. Would highly recommend especially for bigger cats.

Fantastic
What a great post. We have 2 cats, 1 being a British shorthair, they are chunky cats.
This is ideal as its tall , very sturdy and has toys hanging from it. Both my cats climb it at the same time as well as have a good old claw scratch on it :)

Great scratching post!
The scratching post is great, our gang (8 Coonies, we’re breeders) love it. It’s very attractive, very sturdy, and of course quick to assemble. The sisal is nice and thick with a solid winding. We didn’t notice any unpleasant odours. We’ve tried quite a few in this category, and finally, we’ve found a worthy successor to our beloved Giant Post Cheetah, which is no longer available.
We’re just about to order the second XXL scratching post!

Sturdy and well-made!
I ordered the scratching post for my small, delicate house cat and slightly misjudged the size. :-) The post is absolutely fantastic. Despite my clearly mistaken expectations, I decided to keep it, and in a few weeks, a Maine Coon kitten will be joining us, so it’ll be perfect then. The post is incredibly sturdy, and thanks to the heavy and large base plate, nothing can tip it over. My cat uses it wonderfully and can stretch out fully. A small downside is the awful smell at the beginning. The whole flat smelled of it. I aired it out and sprayed it with catnip spray, and then everything was perfect. No more claws on my sofa!

Sturdy tree with a nasty smell
The tree is very sturdy, and my two tomcats use it for scratching and stretching out, though they don’t climb on it and, oddly enough, aren’t interested in the dangling bits... What stood out to me very negatively is the strong smell of the column – that’s just unacceptable.
The cats still use it, so I’m keeping it.

Chem. / unpleasant smell still there even after months!
I ordered this scratching post in December and, after airing it out for about a week, made it available to my cats. As long as all my windows are closed, humans don’t notice the smell at all. However, when airing out the room (even with a bit of a draft), the unpleasant smell still occasionally hits me. I don’t even want to imagine what my cats have to smell every day!
I can therefore only recommend this product for weather-protected outdoor areas.
Now, after a good 8 months: The overall enthusiasm is limited—only one of my two cats uses it. It’s suitable for scratching and stretching out, but the attached toy has never really been played with in my home. The post itself is very sturdy and, apart from a few loose rows (the sisal is wrapped horizontally around the post), it’s still in very good condition. However, the unpleasant smell persists!

is immediately accepted - after airing...
Great craftsmanship, sturdy, and seems to be fun. My THREE Norwegians are also really enjoying the attachment. BUT unfortunately, when I unpacked it, I was hit by a strong chemical smell. I aired out the tree for about 3 days, and then it was fine. I would generally order the product again – but it would be great if something could be done about the smell and the unpleasant feeling it causes.

great post
I bought one of these for my 3 birmans, have previously bought the cheaper ones which they loved but the sisal soon unravels. This one is well worth the extra money, the sisal is really thick, had it 3 months now and it still looks new despite taking a real hammering. The base is really heavy so absolutely no wobbling even if two of them are hanging off it. I'm expecting this one to last a very long time. All in all, the best post out there !

Unbeatable!!!!
Great craftsmanship on the entire trunk!!!
UNBELIEVABLY STURDY... and that's with a very large and heavy British Shorthair tomcat!

So far, very stable.
I specifically chose the heaviest scratching post for my two tigers, as they are both heavy and large and love chasing each other around the "flat"—up and down the scratching tree, onto the windowsill, the chest, everything gets involved, and now also the fantastic scratching post. They absolutely love it. I'm just curious how long the "decorative mice" will last ;-))

Very sturdy and is often played with and climbed on.
I absolutely have to agree with the previous reviewers.
I got the scratching post for two domestic shorthair cats because I’m not a big fan of regular cat trees, and I’m completely satisfied with this decision. The post stands firm purely due to its weight, no matter how playful the cats are, and it also offers plenty of length to give the animals an opportunity to stretch and climb.

Scratching post with top quality
Our Somali cat loves the scratching post. The sisal rope is very well made and securely attached. I can only recommend it... better to spend a few extra euros, and you'll get more out of it. TOP

The kitties are thrilled!
An amazing piece! As always, delivered quickly, assembled super fast and easily using the included Allen key. The post was immediately put to use by all three cats, who are not exactly small (2 Birmans and 1 British Shorthair). The tree stood rock-solid, even though sometimes all three were hanging on it and playing at the same time! The workmanship looks sturdy, and we two- and four-legged friends hope this fantastic scratching and climbing option lasts us a long time!

Excellent post - but beware, it is huge!
Excellent post for three very large cats. They leap all over it and climb and can get a really good full body stretch.
Very sturdy.
I didnt check the meaasurements correctly so I was very surprised by how large it is. Much, much bigger than the picture implies. Will not be a discrete hide in the corner pole!

Excellent 5 Star
This is an excellent product, the base is large & the pole is very sturdy. The rope is well wrapped & good & thick. I erected it in moments & both my very large cats were immediately giving it a good work out...they love it! The product really is great value for money & was delivered very quickly. 5 Stars for both product & service...would recommend to anyone with large cat breeds or even kittens who would love to climb around on it.

Super scratching post
I have to agree with the others... the scratching post is just amazing!!! It's super sturdy (my Maine Coon can hang from it without it wobbling) and looks very high-quality. The sisal rope is really nice and thick, and even the attached toy looks like it will "last longer." I'm just absolutely thrilled, and my two little treasures absolutely love the post. Thumbs up for the excellent craftsmanship and quality :)
