Not the original one
I brought one before and it wasn't the original one and alot less stinky. But someone then wrote saying its stinky, so I gambled and brought another. Same as before, the material has changed, the smell is next to nothing. The picture needs to be changed

Excellent for encouraging natural cat behaviours
This toy is my cat's favourite, it encourages his natural cat hunting instincts. The smell mimics a real animal and this makes it feel more real for him. We have had it since Christmas and he plays with it every day. We had read previous review about the poor quality and it falling apart but we have found the opposite- Its been through a lot and incredibly robust. Would love to see more similar items made as its great for indoor cats development.

One stinky ferret and two happy cats
I knew the ferret would be a hit, just like the lama predecessor was a couple of years ago.
I decided to treat the newest member of our cat family to a fresh Aumüller ferret toy (as the alpaca was still functional, but years old) and it did not disappoint - Ember was one extremely happy Maine Coon 😻. I just wish there was an XL size option/version of this which was more suited to her larger size - it wouldn't need any more herbs in, just a larger sized toy with more stuffing 😸😺

I have 3 cats & they go crazy for this, I bought a bunch of toys, I put this away along with some others to give at different dates, they managed to sniff this out & burst out of its packaging! Only down side is it STINKS, need to store in a sealed container 😬
Caused my cat to vomit
This toy smells like rotting carcass. Within a few hours of opening it, my poor cat was vomiting and our whole apartment stank. Straight to the bin.

Hit with all the cats
All 3 of my cats went wild for this toy- once the novelty wore off they dont play with it as much but i had my oldest girl growling at me when i tried to take it off her as she was biting the chunks of fur off it lol.
Also bought one for my mums cats and they went crazy for it too- only downside for me is the strange smell on it but ill put up with it for their fun!

Not interested
This has changed. My cat went crazy for the original one. This new one hasn't got the strong smell to it, the material colouring has changed. My cat completely ignored it. Shame they didn't leave it as it was

I have 5 cats and my youngest male absolutely loves these types of toys. He carries them around, rolls on the floor you name it.... what I did NOT expect was my eldest female to absolutely fall in love with this first! My youngest male was staring at her playing with it as if to say "hey, when is it my turn?"
So I have to buy more. I can't give one without the other now can I!? What crazy cat lady would I be if I neglected the others 🤷🏻♀️🤭😂

Never seen my cat react so strongly to a toy before and she's had toys with silvervine in them in the past too.
Be warned though, this toy STINKS and I wash my hands after touching it, but it was so so worth getting it for how much my cat loves it! It made her birthday.

Totally worth it A****
I love the smell of catnip so when I took it out of the bag I knew she would like it. It's now soaking wet and has flown through the air twice which is an accomplishment as she's 18. 20 minutes of play and now she's snoring.

Both of ours love it!!
A fantastic toy – I should have ordered two straight away because both of our cats love playing with it. Sure, it has a strong smell, but it’s just valerian, catnip, etc. Personally, I don’t think it “stinks terribly” like some people have said, but I can understand that some might not be able to handle the scent. It just smells like a strong herbal tea. We think it’s great and will be ordering two more soon!

The scent isn't as strong as it used to be

Worth the smell
First of all, this product smells bad, but the smell has faded a lot since I bought it. The most important thing, though, is what my cat thinks. He carries it around and wrestles with it all over the flat, and he loves taking it up onto the bed, the climbing tree, and the scratching barrel. It's honestly one of his favourites. I highly recommend giving it a try! Just be prepared for it to smell quite strong at first, but if your cat likes it, try to stick it out, because it will get better.
