Aumüller Ferret Cat Toy

As soon as I got this out of the packet, my cat went mad! It's probably the best purchase I've ever made for her! The only issue I have is that tiny little bits of the filling do somehow come out of the toy and all over the floor. Other than that, it's a really good toy! Great for your cat!

Two issues - first is how fun it is to watch your cat go bananas over this. Yay! I offered it up for a limited time and put it away afterwards to try and preserve some of the aroma. But after a few weeks the scent is dead and cat not interested. So my reservation is that it's not a lasting, sustainable way to get your cat to play as the toy is obviously made of fake fur which can't be recycled in any meaningful way. But watching him enjoy the toy so much.... climate change or kitty heaven?

I have 3 cats & they go crazy for this, I bought a bunch of toys, I put this away along with some others to give at different dates, they managed to sniff this out & burst out of its packaging! Only down side is it STINKS, need to store in a sealed container 😬

The cats love this toy they had fun with it straight away. It's realistic and obviously they love the catnip inside they have hours of fun with this toy well worth buying

We bought 2 of these, one for each cat. They stink awful to us but our cats love them and bunny hump them daily. The only down side is the fur comes off easily and they eat it which surely isn’t good for them. One of our cats loves to have tug of war and wrestle with us with it. Would definitely buy again but maybe the fur needs looking at.

My 3 cats all went crazy for this! It provides them with great entertainment, but I do limit their playtime with it to short bursts as recommended to avoid over stimulation.

Our two cats go WILD for this toy. Something about it drives them mad rubbing themselves all over it and playing with it and sucking on it. However, (to human noses, anyway) it smells AWFUL. If you can deal with the smell, your cats will thank you. We keep ours in a bag and only bring it out every once in a while and one of our cats even goes mad for the bag it is stored in, rolling all over it.

Both of my cats liked playing with this and instantly took to it when it arrived, however it smells pretty bad. I put it back in the packaging and store it away when not being played with.

When I first got the toy it absolutely reeked of valerian, so much so that my cat didn't want to go near it. Also, the fur came off when handled; I brushed out the loose hair very thoroughly, then put it in the toy box and forgot about it. A few weeks later I found it again, now less smelly, and when I showed it to my cat she was instantly on it and all over it. Now a firm favourite to chew, kick, roll, snuggle and snooze on. She runs to it when I ask her where her ferret friend is!

All of my cats loved it,but one of them nearly choked on some of the fur, it comes away from the toy when ragged in play. This is the only issue I had with it. Otherwise it’s been loved,beaten,slept on and with. Don’t think there is anything you can do about the fur coming loose when being ragged,but just thought it was worth a mention just in case there is something you can do for the safety of cats

All my cats love this but the fluff comes out hence 4 rather than 5 stars - one of my cats rips the fur off toys!

Don't be put off by the comments about the smell, it's really not that bad at all and you don't notice it after a day or so. The cat loved it and went nuts over it for a few days but then clearly the smell wears off a bit and it loses its appeal. One to bring out for a playtime then wrap up and hide again to try and preserve the effect.

Although the toy is ugly and smelly, my two cats absolutely love it. They go mental with it. I am very happy to see they are happy. But I won't suggest using it on carpets and probably you need open windows to ventilate the air afterward (Not joking).

My cats absolutely LOVE this toy for about 10 minutes at a time, they kick, bite, throw and role around like they’ve just had the biggest high of their lives. For this alone I would give it 5 stars but MY GOD THE SMELL.. when they’re not using this toy it lives in a plastic bag & thrown to the back of a cupboard to save my house from being overrun by the stench of catnippy/smelly feet/farts combined. Sweet Jesus buy it, but have a plan in mind of where it lives when they’re done playing!!

My cat started going mental when the delivery box arrived. Not even opened! That should’ve been the first clue for how strong the smell is…once open she instantly fell in love with it and did her usual grab, kick, lick, you name it. Awesome toy but it’s huge and smells bad.

This thing smells so bad it caused my partner and I to have a massive argument! Make sure you open it outside your house (I left it outside all day when the weather was dry) the smell does go away. Besides that, my cat absolutely adores it. I’ve never seen this blend of herbs in anything else, but it’s a clear winner with my cat.

This is brilliant for the cats, but it STINKS. When I first opened it they absolutely loved it and went mad for it, rolling around with it and even dribbling on the floor. After the first day they still go back to it but not as often. I would've given it 5 stars, but had to knock off a star for the smell, it's so bad! I know it's what the cats love but it's stinking out the room! Worth keeping it in a box when not in use! Other than that, great toy and the cats love it!

Both our cats love this toy. They spend ages playing and chewing it. However it does have a strong smell, that transfers to the cats fur. Based on our experience you either tolerate this or it is repulsive to you. I think it has a bit of wet animal smell to it. My other half thinks it is worse than the litter tray on a bad day.

First of all, this product smells bad, but the smell has faded a lot since I bought it. The most important thing, though, is what my cat thinks. He carries it around and wrestles with it all over the flat, and he loves taking it up onto the bed, the climbing tree, and the scratching barrel. It's honestly one of his favourites. I highly recommend giving it a try! Just be prepared for it to smell quite strong at first, but if your cat likes it, try to stick it out, because it will get better.

This one can keep one of my cats entertained for quite a while. Now she can happily play on her own. The other cat likes it too, but gets bored with it a bit quicker.

The ferret was a hit right from the unboxing. The smell is honestly unbelievable, really, but after reading the reviews I was ready for it. The only downside is that the ferret really sheds—a lot. Within the first 10 minutes of our tomcat (a 6-month-old kitty) going wild, it lost about 20% of its fur, and I could be hoovering all day. :D Otherwise, it's perfect.

My tomcat carries the ferret around the flat like his prey and is totally in hunting mode. You just need to be careful when playing, as the faux fur can come loose when fighting and biting.

It stinks and it’s ugly, but my cat loves it, drags it everywhere and has a blast with it. So if it’s approved by the cat, that’s what matters most 🤣.
