Aumüller Ferret Cat Toy

The smell used to be so intense I had to open the windows after taking it out. My cat loved those, always went absolutely crazy about rhem, but last two I ordered were almost odourless, not engaged the cat at all. Very disappointed.

This looks cute but smells like rot. Will be returning it.

My cat loved it, but it absolutely stinks. Unfortunately he went a bit too mad for it and was able to lick clumps of fur off it. He possibly swallowed some before I took it off him and put it in the bin

Bought a new one of these recently. It is my third one. Unfortunately they have changed the material of it, it feels a lot more synthetic and cheap. My cats refuse to play with it which I'm gutted about as they don't react to catnip or anything. This was the only thing they loved so I'm really disappointed.

This toy smells like rotting carcass. Within a few hours of opening it, my poor cat was vomiting and our whole apartment stank. Straight to the bin.

Fur came off really easily and cat tried to eat it

Shocked at the poor quality of this toy. After 2 days it has gone into the bin. Our 2 kits took to the toy straight away, however, when our 13-year-old 'Ollie' played with it the fur on the toy kept coming away with the result that he ate it and suffered fur balls. The final straw was today when having his lunch of soup he vomited the whole lot up along with another hairball from the toy. Our cat's welfare comes first so the Aumuller Ferret Cat Toy went straight into the bin.

Be warned this toy smells horrendous and looks like roadkill. Cats loved it but it was binned after less than a week as I became ill after handling it, which cleared up as soon as the toy was gone.

The toy’s feathers are falling off. My cat was swallowing. I took it by force from mouth. I had to throw the toy away. He loves the smell of toys of this brand, but this toy is not safe for cats.

My cat loves it. But she ate toy’s hair. I think the quality is not good. I have bought other toys of this brand before. but in this, the hairs break easily. While my cat swallowed, I could hardly remove the hairs from his mouth. And because my cat was looking for this toy like crazy, I had to throw it away 5 minutes after it came. however my cat loved it😔

Got home and the toy had stunk the whole house out, absolutely vile, binned instantly what a waste

My cat had this for 30 seconds, was really enjoying it until he pulled off a big clump of fur and started to cough and choke. Luckily I was there to rescue him. Awful quality of product. Please do not leave your cat alone with this toy!

The smell fade and my cat stop enjoying it after few days. It is very expensive for being used a few days only. Please do something! Make refill maybe?

This smells bad, made my house smell bad too! My cat sniffed it, picked it up and took it outside and then walked away from it. He was as amused as we were! If he could speak human I am sure I would have to bleep out the words! Shame as i think he would have played with it if it wasnt for the smell. Glad he doesnt like it as this is going in the bin....waste of money, what a shame!

If I could give minus stars I would. This toy absolutely reeks. It triggered my asthma and made my cat Jodie vomit! It’s a pity as the furry ferret itself would have been great.

Terrible smell throughout the whole house!

The toy has a strong scent and it used to be my cat’s absolute favourite. I bought my cat a new ferret toy, but the quality has changed. Now the fur on the ferret is smoother and feels more plastic. My cat licked the toy a lot and after a couple of days, she vomited up a big clump of hair that had built up inside her. With this quality, I wouldn’t recommend the toy.

My cats love it, but some kind of sand comes out and now I have it all over the house.

I’ve been buying these ferrets for a while now because they always got worn out quickly from play. But now I’ve noticed that the new ones still look like they did on day one – this isn’t fake fur. I recently bought a carpet and ended up with some carpet beetles, and I sometimes see larvae on the ferrets. Larvae only go for organic materials like wool or real fur. I’m vegan and pay close attention to things like this. If this is fur from abused animals?! I already contacted Aumüller and they said it’s fake fur. That’s not true.

My cat hates it, if I put it down next to her she jumps a metre away and runs to the other side of the flat. It’s probably too smelly for her too.

The toy was smelling like something had rotted under heavy rain. I had to throw away the toy after a couple of days, as the smell never went away. Also, the cats didn’t even play with the toy.

The cat played with the ferret, but every time they played, his mouth was full of synthetic fur because the ferret shed a lot.

I bought this product in 2023 and the ferret smelled so bad that it was almost impossible to stay in the room when it was out of the box. Bought again in 2026, it barely has any scent and the cat isn’t interested.

My cat went completely crazy after playing with this toy for just a couple of minutes. And then it vomited several times. I definitely do not recommend this product!
