Beware, your cat will fall in love
A toy (freska) of medium size but it works wonders, the smell is, well, not very pleasant for the human nose, I think (a combination of yellow cheese and stinking sweaty shoes/socks)The smell isn't very intense, so if you're very close to the toy, you can smell it, but the fact is that it's not us who should like it, it's our pets, and for my cat it's an absolute hit. The smell used to be so intense I had to open the windows after taking it out. My cat loved those, always went absolutely crazy about rhem, but last two I ordered were almost odourless, not engaged the cat at all. Very disappointed.

Must have toy for my 2 cats.
I buy this regulary for my 2 cats and even for my parent's cat. When brand new - cats do go crazy about it so I limit play time to 10min. Eventually (a few weeks? a month?) the smell fades. Then I leave the toy out at all times. Cats still love it, rub their nose it, wrestle with it. So I keep replacing it maybe once or twice a year. Just to refresh it - it doesn't really deteriorate. I do brush it occasionally.

As soon as I got this out of the packet, my cat went mad! It's probably the best purchase I've ever made for her!
The only issue I have is that tiny little bits of the filling do somehow come out of the toy and all over the floor. Other than that, it's a really good toy! Great for your cat!

This is the funniest toy- my boy went nuts - but the scent fades fast and then... no interest..
Two issues - first is how fun it is to watch your cat go bananas over this. Yay!
I offered it up for a limited time and put it away afterwards to try and preserve some of the aroma.
But after a few weeks the scent is dead and cat not interested.
So my reservation is that it's not a lasting, sustainable way to get your cat to play as the toy is obviously made of fake fur which can't be recycled in any meaningful way.
But watching him enjoy the toy so much.... climate change or kitty heaven?

The ferret is Cheeky’s favourite toy, she just loves it, particularly wrestling it and kicking with her back paws. When I put it away she gets it out of her toy box herself, well she is a tuxedo cat who just loves her ferret!

Bought a new one of these recently. It is my third one. Unfortunately they have changed the material of it, it feels a lot more synthetic and cheap. My cats refuse to play with it which I'm gutted about as they don't react to catnip or anything. This was the only thing they loved so I'm really disappointed.

She likes catnip generally, but the ferret (lovingly named Fergus ferret) turned her into a feral creature.
She padded around the house with a deep meow carrying him in her mouth.
He also randomly appears in different spots in the house. Particularly outside the bedroom door in the morning.

Honestly I’ve never seen my cats have such a reaction to one toy that I wish I’d bought two of these. They went absolute crazy and are loving playing with this toy, this toy does smell not the most pleasant to us humans due to the valerian which was to be expected. Stay away if you are sensitive to smells.
By far one of the cheapest but best investments I’ve made in a toy for enrichment. 10/10 buying one more in my next monthly order to make it fair

My kitten was very excited, and went straight to his new toy. He looked like he is having lots of fun. And yes, there is a bit of smell, but it was fine with us. It’s smell of the nature.

I wish I was a cat so I'd like the smell as much as they do!
Even my 18 year old cat went crazy for this ferret, and she doesn't usually play at all. I wasn't even going to offer it to her, but as soon as I opened the ziplock bag it comes in, she was alerted by the smell, and jumped up to snatch it out of my hand. Catnip always makes her scent-mark the nearest hard surface and this was no exception. I'll definitely buy this again, even though I really don't enjoy the smell myself!

Both of ours love it!!
A fantastic toy – I should have ordered two straight away because both of our cats love playing with it. Sure, it has a strong smell, but it’s just valerian, catnip, etc. Personally, I don’t think it “stinks terribly” like some people have said, but I can understand that some might not be able to handle the scent. It just smells like a strong herbal tea. We think it’s great and will be ordering two more soon!

The scent isn't as strong as it used to be

Worth the smell
First of all, this product smells bad, but the smell has faded a lot since I bought it. The most important thing, though, is what my cat thinks.
