It used to be the very best litter on the market. Solid clumps and the best odour control. Plus, it was lightweight and environmentally friendly. And it lasted a long time too. We used it for years. Then the quality suddenly took a nosedive. Sometimes you got lucky, but often not. We switched to other types of litter. Unfortunately, we often didn’t have much luck with those either. Same problem there. We’ve gone back to CBÖP because it’s working well again. I really hope it stays as our old favourite litter!

This litter is dusty as hell… It's a shame you can't upload videos… I'll never buy this again. Even while filling the litter boxes, I had to sneeze several times, and so did my cats. It used to be one of the best litters.

I've only used this litter for the 4 months but the bag I opened today is completely different! It's lighter in colour, much smaller pieces and spreads right through house. My cats pee turned into a paste! I read other reviews saying similar things but couldn't understand it until now, I'm guessing I got older bags of the old type before it changed and now I've got the new. Definitely won't be buying it again!

Absolutely the best litter. A large 40-litre bag lasts almost half a year with 3 cats. No bad smells, it clumps perfectly.

I've happily used Cat's Best Original for *10 years*, flushing it without problem. All the granules used to be really soft, easily crumbling to dust between your fingers. However, it appears the formulation has changed; it now contains small but very hard granules of wood chip that DO NOT DISSOLVE. I've just forked out *hundreds* to clear a drain blockage caused by this product. It's still a good litter (lightweight, easy-to-remove clumps) but do yourself a favour: PUT IT IN THE BIN!

Advantage: the price, I got the big bag for our 4 cats. Disadvantage: the granules are too large, so it’s not as absorbent as fine litter, which also means more waste volume in the bin. I couldn’t find a suitable scoop that effectively sifts it. I’ll stick to fine wood litter. It’s easy to sift with the metal scoop, takes up less space in the bin, absorbs more, and spreads just as much or as little outside the litter box as the coarse wood litter. Plus, it’s easier to spot when there are clumps in it.

I have two cats - one shorthair and one longhair - and decided to give this a try. I managed to put up with it for less than a day! It clung to the fluffy one’s paws, trousers and tail so she tracked it everywhere. The other one thought it made a comfy bed and also tracked it all over. Life’s too short to hoover three times a day so I’ll go back to my cheap clumping litter from B&M.

I usually buy 17-kg bags, and the last three bags were really bad. The litter no longer clumps, and you either have to throw away about half of the litter in the cat tray or the whole thing starts to smell after a few days.

We’ve been using this litter for at least 5 years. Unfortunately, it has deteriorated significantly. As other customers have already pointed out, it’s now extremely dusty, no longer clumps (cat urine "clumps" crumble apart while still in the litter box), and starts to smell quickly. It’s also much darker than it used to be, so the composition has clearly changed. Such a shame, but we’ll have to start looking for a new litter.

It doesn’t absorb well; wet litter immediately stuck to the floor and quickly to my two cats’ paws. After just one day, they didn’t even want to go into their litter box anymore. It was an attempt to try something new because my usual litter wasn’t available at the time. But there are definitely better litters out there for less money.

I used it for at least 4 years; it was the best litter I had found. The contents of the latest bag are dusty, don’t clump, and crumble into fine dust in the litter tray in no time. Such a shame, I’ll have to look for an alternative.

The worst cat litter I’ve ever bought. It’s so dusty that I had a layer of dust covering all the furniture nearby every single day. On top of that, it got stuck in the sofa fabric—luckily, it’s washable. The stuff even clung to the fly screen on the window. It also has absolutely no odour control; the whole place smelled like a litter box, even though it was always clean and the trays were properly scrubbed. And it was scattered everywhere too, because it sticks to the fur.

I’ve tested a lot of products, but this is by far the worst litter. Unfortunately, the litter doesn’t bind odours at all, even with multiple cleanings a day. It has a strong, sour smell of its own, and the clumping is also far from ideal. I’ve now found a fantastic litter that both my two cats and I are very happy with.

The litter smells wonderfully of wood. Clumps well. Doesn't create dust. However, my cats only use it for their small business. For the big business, they use the other toilet with regular clumping litter. Yes, it's expensive. But very economical. I'm very satisfied.

Very effective odour-binding and highly absorbent cat litter!! No clumps that break apart again – they stay nicely intact when cleaning the litter tray. Very economical. I can only recommend it!!!

I would highly recommend this cat litter, it’s the best one I have used. It’s light and holds the smell well.
