My absolute favourite litter, my cats have taken to it really well and it's easy to clean. From an ecological perspective, it's also much better than conventional cat litters.

I've been buying this cat litter for several years, but since the end of 2018, they've changed something in the production process, and unfortunately, the granules are now larger and crumble more easily when trying to remove the urine clumps. As a result, the overall consumption of litter is higher than it used to be. Such a shame!!

On the one hand, it's the best eco-litter I've tried so far, but on the other hand, in terms of quality, it can't be compared to conventional clumping litter. In my opinion, it doesn't absorb moisture and odours well and creates a lot of mess. Conclusion: Recommended for anyone looking for good eco-litter.

We have been using it for over 10 years, but something has changed since the last purchase. Previously, the 40-litre litter lasted more than three-quarters of a year. Now, the clumping has decreased so significantly that we constantly have to replace it. The 20-litre pack barely lasts 2 months. Additionally, the litter spreads all over the flat. We are now looking for an alternative.

I’ve been using this litter for more than 10 years. Unfortunately, I have to say that the quality has noticeably declined over time and can now be described as poor. It still clumps, but the clumps are unstable and often fall apart when being removed, causing the soaked crumbs to spread in the clean litter or on the floor. Additionally, the odour control has worsened, and it produces significantly more dust. Such a shame, it used to be the best!

Clumping is pretty good, odour neutralisation is also fine. Unfortunately, it crumbles quite quickly and then gets spread around the whole flat due to its light weight.

I’ve tried various types of litter, but this one is the best. It controls odour better than natural clay, lasts longer than other eco-litters, and can be disposed of via the toilet. On top of that, it’s lighter than natural clay.

It’s extremely noticeable that the quality has dropped off significantly for some time now. I used to be able to use the litter for up to 5 weeks!! With the drastic loss in quality, it now falls apart after just 2 days. Unfortunately, I’ll have to find a replacement :(

I bought this cat litter because the bentonite litter was always too heavy for me, and I was dissatisfied with its odour control and clumping. All of that is much, much better with Cat's Best Original. After a while, the litter grains do break down into sawdust, but the clumping still works. By the way, I do NOT dispose of the used litter via the toilet. The only problem: I now have the litter all over the flat! Everywhere! Hence, I’m deducting 2 stars.

The litter absorbs very well and doesn’t smell for a long time. I also find that there’s less of it scattered around the litter box compared to other types of litter. Unfortunately, it’s not suitable for my Sacred Birman. Ever since using this litter, faeces keeps getting stuck in her fur.

This used to be a brilliant cat litter, now it's rubbish. Used to clump, now it just disintegrates into crumbs that are impossible to scoop out and tracks everywhere, even out of an enclosed tray. Used to mask smells really well, now does not. I can only think the reason for this change of formula is the usual one of a company shooting themselves in the foot in the relentless pursuit of cost cutting with cheap ingredients - and losing sales. They've certainly lost MY custom.

I've tried so many, but this is the best. Affordable, hardly any odours, no extra waste since it can be disposed of via the toilet, and my cats accept it. I only buy this litter now.

I’ve been using this litter for almost 10 years, but unfortunately, with the change in packaging design and the name (from Best to Classic), the clumping and odour control behaviour has also changed. Now, the urine clumps often fall apart when scooping, contaminating the remaining litter. With three cats, I’ll probably have to look for an alternative, as the price-performance ratio has shifted significantly for the worse. It would be great if this feedback could be passed on to the manufacturer.

I was thrilled by the idea of using compostable litter that can even be disposed of in small amounts via the toilet. Unfortunately, the cat wasn’t as impressed... 😞 About the litter itself: it clumps very well, forming neat little balls that were easy to remove. The smell of the litter is good, very natural. However, I didn’t find the odour control to be great – though the cat refused to dig in it. I had to dispose of all the litter – luckily in the compost and not in the bin.

After weeks – doesn’t smell, clean it every day and it’s fine, but since my cats are already a bit older and used to white hygiene litter, the switch didn’t work. Only one of the younger ones accepted it. I think the idea is great – eco-friendly, economical, pleasant smell, reduces household waste, doesn’t smell like pee – such a shame.

Very good litter, although the quality was better before the relaunch. Still convincing overall.
