Cat's Best Öko Plus Cat Litter
This has to be the best cat litter we have tried. Cheaper litters are a complete waste of money. We have two cats who share a tray and a 40 litre bag lasts us exactly 12 weeks, which works out at £2 a week, so it's not expensive at all. It forms a complete ball of urine which is so easy to just scoop out, and covers up lingering smells too, I've found the secret is too have a good 4 inches of litter in the tray so the urine doesn't reach the bottom when they go for a pee, so this keeps the litter underneath dry, (no soggy mess at the bottom of tray as with other litters). I do a scoop of the tray 3 times a day which helps keep things fresh, sanitise once a week and top up as required, my cats are happy, so we are happy, it does track about the floor near the tray, but that's what a dust pan and brush are for (get a long handled one so no bending). Certainly will be sticking with this litter.

Oko cat litter
I ve used cheaper cat litters in the past and found they work out dearer in the end. No smell off litter tray with this litter

This is THE WORST LITTER, EVER!
I am gobsmacked by all the glowing reviews of this horrible litter! It is awful! It has the consistency of polystyrene crossed with cardboard. So the pieces are huge and strangely lightweight, causing it to become readily airborne and oh-so-attracted to cat fur.
For being so light and eager to cling to fur it is useless at the job clumping together for pee and doesn't cling to poo enough to help with the smell. This also caused the problem of my cat feeling like she hadn’t properly buried it so she circled round, digging incessantly, flinging this rubbish litter everywhere… outside of a COVERED litter box!
I thought it would be better for a Persian cat because there would be less dust than clay-based litter but nothing is worth this mess.
I wish I had seen a review like this and spared myself a big waste of time and money.

Beware of claims
I tried this as an alternative to Worlds Best which is also flushable and brilliant in terms of clumping and odour- but this was on an offer so thought would give it a try. Firstly, it doesn't really clump. The wee just makes a mush which is virtually impossible to scoop. Secondly, it trails everywhere. Got though the whole house. Thirdly. I only flushed a small amount and the toilet quickly blocked leaving a foul smell and water bubbling up through the sink. Would never use again. Gave a sack of it away. Gone back to worlds best which is completely flushanle in small amounts, clumps brilliant and leaves no odour. Even better it doesn't making my house smell like a pumping station. Don't waste your money.

Very good cat litter :)
I am going to carry on using Cat's Best Gold because my kitten prefers it but OKO PLUS is also really good, just a touch more tracking. Quite good value for such good product.

Disappointed
Bought this due to reading good reviews both here and on some forums. I wonder if they've changed the production process as I found that, tracking-wise, it's nothing special, and it doesn't clump nearly as well as I'd hoped. I've tried other brands of a similar size and consistency and find the previous brand I used was better. The wee clumps seem to break apart when touched, which is rather annoying as they start falling through the scoop's sieve.
Also I noticed that, with Oko Plus, within a week it did not seem to be soaking all the wee up, as after scooping up the clumps holding to the base of the tray, it was leaving wet trails in the tray. This is only after less than a week's use and only by one albeit large kitten.
After I finish what I've got, I will be trying other brands or perhaps go back to what I was using originally.

I don't agree with the majority of reviews
I decided to try this litter because of the high rate of excellent reviews here and on the Finnish site, but wish I'd have bought the smaller bag so I could use it up quicker.
Initially, the smell was horrible. The whole basement stunk terribly for over a week. Very strangely, the smell went away and hasn't recurred.
The big problem now is the tracking. I've never had a problem with tracking with other litters in the many years I've had cats. This stuff is all over the basement and up the stairs; it's driving me crazy! I'm looking forward to when this bag is used up.

This litter is the best I've ever used and I've used quite a few!!
It clumps well as long as your cat is healthy!! I.e. One of mine had bladder crystals so it wasn't so good then due to the small quantities of urine. He is fixed now and this litter is brilliant as I can tell imediately if he is having any difficulty. The only negative is that they do tend to throw it out of the litter box but that is a small price to pay for an otherwise excellent product. Highly recommend it.

Trails like there is no tomorrow
I was looking for a biodegradable alternative for World's best. My ragdoll is not a messy litter user and we have never had problem with litter getting everywhere in the flat until I bought this. It clumps ok, but not to solidly, so you need to watch out when scooping out and it trails TERRIBLY. I had cat litter all over the flat and all over the cat. He did not seem to mind too much, but I cannot vacuum everyday. It seems the difference in price means difference in quality

Used immediately!
Wanted to find a cat litter that was environmentally friendly, and also easy to clean from the tray.
Previously were using a supermarket own brand word pellet style. Was perfectly happy with it but thought would try something new.
Improvement is that rather than becoming loose, damp wood dust, this does form clumps - much easier to remove!
There is a little bit of tracking, but we have hardwood floors, and it's day to sweep a few grains up.
Our cats are both allowed out during the day, so the litter tray is mostly used at night. However, one appears to like this litter so much has used it twice in two day (since we had it) when she had access to the outdoors. I took that as an endorsement :-)

great litter but be careful of the claims made!
I think this litter is fantastic and wouldn't use anything else, there's no smell from the tray and although it tracks a little bit I don't find it a problem, maybe as I have wooden floors so it can be swept up easily. It lasts for ages too.
But please be careful of the claims that you can flush it!! I used to flush the clumps down the loo but recently had a nasty blockage and had to pay a big bill to get it cleared. The man informed me it was most likely due to the litter and not to do this again! took about 3 years for this to happen but still it was a hassle and expense I could have done without.

Best I've used
I clean clumps out as soon as I see them and have had no residual smells. This is the first litter I can say that about!!
The litter is soft and I like the fact it's biodegradable.
It does track a little but on my wooden floors that is easily swept up and is preferable to gritty particles getting trodden in.

Hit & Miss
Been using this litter for quite a while & found it to be great for my 3 Maine Coons. But recently it's not clumping as well & tracking far more :(

Absolutely the best.
10/10 Better at controlling odour than odour control litters, no dust, clumps amazingly, lasts for absolutely ages because you just remove the muck with minimal litter. The tracking is manageable and worth it for all the good this litter brings. The price is amazing for how long you get from it, I won't use anything else now.

Dusty
Have used Cats Best for a few years. I like the extra large bag for my six cats, but the downsides are: it used to clump well but doesn't anymore, it degrades and becomes powdery/dusty fairly quickly and lastly it tracks badly even with a mat in front of it.

not as good as I hoped
To repeat other reviews, it tracks easily out of the box. But my personal least favourite aspect of it was the smell - not of my cat's waste but of the product itself - kind of sour, burnt, weird coffee - yuk! I much prefer the freshness of wood pellets and as I compost all the litter (except faeces and faeces contaminated litter of course), I think wood chip/sawdust are much better as a biodegradable, nice smelling product that composts well

Systematically tired them all!
I have wooden floors and I found the grittier litters out there were slowly scratching the floors (when moving tray to clean and also feeling the small grit below my feet when walking by.) I have a kitty litter disposal system so I have to have a clumping cat litter.
This is THE best clumping litter I have found so far. It clumps the urine very well, coats the solids and absorbs the odours remarkably well. It is lightweight to clean out with minimal waste.
We have two indoor cats and yes, some is transferred by their paws to the surrounding floor but it does not scratch the wooden floor and has a soft, sponge like texture. We used to have a plug in air freshner close by to help with odours but this is no longer necessary. For us, this is our best discovery so far. The real bonus is......it last so long! We clean the tray of deposits, three to four times per day. We started with a 30L size bag four weeks ago and we still have a third of a bag left. It appears expensive but you really do see the saving. We were buying a 5L bag of cheaper cat litter £6 per bag) every 5-6 days. (Approx' 5-6 bags per month...costing around £30-36. We know we still have around another two weeks worth of this litter left. Buy cheap, you buy twice! Highly recommended.

Only good if you if you have a hoover at hand and an understanding family
We have 3 indoor cats. All are litter trained and are used to gravel and wood based litter.
This is like tiny crumbs of litter. It gets stuck to their feet and gets distributed round the house. It went from the kitchen to the bed room on one morning.
If the cats wee on it. It turns into a porridge like substance and then dries like a rock.
Having to hoover daily and change trays every other day until it runs out :(

brilliant
was recommended this litter by a friend who has 10 cats (i only have 2) it is really great, lasts forever and the clumping of the pee is brilliant. One tip I was also given is to make sure you fill the trays quite full (using a deep tray) I was cautious at first but you dont waste any so the whole tray lasts for ages, the deeper the litter the better the pee clumps into little jelly balls. Sooo easy to deal with you just flush down the loo (or drain as i have trays outside as well).. highly recommended. I have long haired cats so the litter does track a little but no more than the wooden pellets that I was previously using. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

Horrible to say the least!
We were given this free and still - even with it being free it was not worth it. I have to vacuum twice a day and use a broom almost hourly to sweep the wood pieces. The "aroma" is making us gag. This might be useful to help those who wish to lose weight. I assume the 5 star ratings were company provided :)
