Cat newbie
I’m new to cats and have had my little tomcat since the beginning of April. Based on the recommendations here, I got myself a small bag just in case, and it turned out the breeder also uses CBÖP. My cat really likes it; it doesn’t smell like urine at all, and it only stinks when he’s just dropped one of his “bombs.” But after a few minutes, the smell disappears, and you wouldn’t even notice there’s a big business sitting in the litter box. He also buries it thoroughly, so sometimes I really have to search for it.
Unfortunately, I have to deduct points because I find individual bits of litter all over the flat, and he’s left muddy footprints a couple of times after stepping into a fresh puddle (always easy to spot on the bed sheets).
I’ll probably stick with it, though, since other litters have their downsides too. And why switch when the cat loves it and you can live with the scattered litter? After all, there are brooms and vacuum cleaners for that!

Dusts quite heavily
In terms of handling and odour control, the litter is very good, but unfortunately, it seems something has changed in the production process. Unlike the first delivery about a year ago, the bags delivered afterwards produce a lot of dust during cleaning. Our room, where the litter boxes for the nine-toed ones are, is always covered in a fine white layer of dust after just a week. – Not great! The kittens don’t mind much, but as someone who’s becoming allergic, it’s a problem for me... We’re switching now and trying something else...

Well...
It was too dusty for me and my cats; there was an astonishingly thick layer of dust on the bottom of the toilet, which surely can't be healthy. Even if it's eco-friendly. On top of that, the urine combined with the litter turned into a sticky paste... nope, not my thing.

Well, meh...
I've been using this litter for 2 years, and my cat loves it. The great thing is that you can dispose of it in the toilet and it's compostable. Unfortunately, that's about it for the positives. The extremely large "pee clumps" fall apart, the litter sticks to the bottom of the cat litter tray, so you end up having to clean it every week, which really hits the wallet. On top of that, the litter gets spread all over the flat, including the sofa and bed, because it sticks between the paws... sweeping every day is unavoidable :0( Sadly, I now have to disappoint my cat and look for a different, clumping and finer-grained litter. Two years of frustration are finally over.

Highly recommended!
I'm absolutely thrilled with this cat litter! It clumps perfectly and doesn't smell even after four weeks. In the future, I'll only be buying Cats Best Öko Plus!

The worst I've had so far!!!
We have four cats! Two of them are already 18 years old. Over the years, we've tried quite a few types of cat litter. But I've never been so dissatisfied with a clumping litter!!!
The clumps break apart even when there's a large amount of litter in the cat tray. It spreads all over the house. The cats don't feel like covering up their mess, it's very difficult to sift out, and the odour control leaves much to be desired. The only advantage is that it doesn't produce dust!

Super clumping, but flushing it down the toilet??
Overall, I’m really impressed with this litter. It clumps very well and also does a great job of neutralising odours. On top of that, the slightly woody smell is much more pleasant than conventional cat litter. The only thing I’m not thrilled about is disposing of it via the toilet. The first time I tried, it completely clogged my toilet, and the soaked litter sticks stubbornly to the bottom. It probably works if you only flush the "big business" down the toilet, but the massive "pee clumps" (lol) are really hard to dissolve and just cause blockages. It does work if you flush multiple times, but with 3-4 flushes, I’m not willing to waste that much water, so I just dispose of the litter the traditional way—in the bin :-)

Super!
Clumps well, smells pleasantly of wood, and hardly produces any dust! Since it’s very lightweight, it’s also easy to transport.
Suitable for allergy sufferers too (unlike Extreme Classic). We’re very satisfied. We’re sticking with it!

Is the cat satisfied...
...makes people happy! :-)
I’ve tried quite a few types of litter with my two indoor cats. Clumping litter, silica litter, various eco-friendly litters, etc. Most of them only lasted about four weeks (with regular topping up and complete cleaning in between), smelled bad, and got soggy quickly. Not great. Then I read up on different types of litter in a cat forum, came across CBÖP, and ordered it here straight away.
I have to say, I’m absolutely thrilled with it.
At first, my little cat wasn’t too keen on the litter (the big one doesn’t care ;)), but after two weeks, she got used to it as well. The litter is incredibly economical; I’ve been using the 40-litre bag since the beginning of March and have only completely cleaned the litter box twice in that time. And my furry friends share one box, so there’s quite a bit of traffic.
The absorbency is fantastic, the odour control is excellent, and the “sand effect” (which I don’t find worse than with other litters) is something I’ve managed to avoid by placing the tray from an old litter box with mats inside it right outside the main litter box. So, after doing their business, the cats have to walk through the second box, and most of the litter stays there.
What I also love is the ability to dispose of it via the toilet. You can get rid of the smelly bits straight away if needed, and even the clumps of urine can be flushed down easily (bit by bit, of course, to avoid blockages ;)).
Overall, I think my cats and I have found the perfect litter with CBÖP, and we can definitely recommend it!

For my ferrets...
Unfortunately, this litter is too "prickly"... My jill only reluctantly goes to the toilet, and often she still can't "do her business"... She fidgets back and forth, trying her best not to put her paws down. My hob doesn't even bother going to the toilets with this litter! They find the feeling on their paws unsettling. When I tested it on the back of my hand, I could understand why; it's not exactly pleasant, and if you catch it at the wrong angle, it pricks quite a bit and can even hurt! On the plus side, I have to say it produces relatively little dust! But that doesn't help much when my ferret goes next to the toilet instead! (Previously, with a softer litter, he always used the toilet!)... At the time I ordered it (it did have quite a lot of good feedback), there was only the large 40-litre pack available, which, contrary to my expectations, hasn't gone down well... Such a shame -_-"

Really excellent
This is the best i've tried:
- it's soft on their paws
- controls odours really well
- clumps brilliantly, therefore v economical
- i put the wee clumps directly in my compost heap
- is light, easy to handle and sweep up

Best cat litter
Hello!
I searched for a long time to find such good litter. I have 3 cats who prefer to always use the same litter box (even though they have 4!!). This cat litter is so well received and really lasts a long time. The only downside is that it’s very lightweight, so it often gets scratched out of the litter box. I’ll stick with this cat litter and can only recommend it. It’s perfect for a multi-cat household.

Very satisfied!!!
Super!!!! I only knew Catsan and Thomas from back in the day. I've had a 17-week-old little mouse (Cuddy) for a few days now, and she thinks the litter is fantastic. Cleaning is no problem – super quick to do with the scoop. No smell. Also no "spreading around the room" from her paws... I'm sticking with it!

Excellent
I have been looking for something like this for years.
Yes, it tracks, but not as bad as all my older litters.
It's easy to keep trays clean.
All I do is remove clumps & add more to trays as I need it.
I would recomend this product & site to any cat lover.
I have converted one work mate to this product & they are also amazed at how good this is.
Thanks Zooplus.

Cats Best Öko is brilliant.
The only thing I don't like so much is that it gets very dusty when refilling. I've already tried quite a few types of litter, but this is currently the best and most economical one I know.

Also suitable for heavy tomcats! Great litter!
I’ve tried many types of litter, pretty much all the high-quality ones available at Zooplus. We’re a multi-cat household with a tomcat and occasional kittens, so odour control is a very important topic for us.
The high-quality fine sandy litters with baby powder scent or without (the scent fades after a few days anyway) were all okay, but in my opinion, they didn’t differ significantly.
Additionally, I had major issues with disposal, especially during the time we had kittens – the rubbish bin simply wasn’t big enough anymore. That’s why I switched to Cats Best Öko Plus, as I can dispose of the “cat waste” on the compost heap. This compost heap is now in the garden, and my rubbish problem was solved in one go.
I’m also very impressed with this litter overall. It’s nice and lightweight, doesn’t smear, and is easy to clean. The cats do track it out with their paws, and there’s always a bit of mess around the litter box, but that was no different with the fine sandy litters. It hardly sticks to their paws, which was more of an issue with the fine sandy litters – if a cat stepped into their fresh puddle while digging, they’d end up with a crust on their paw. That doesn’t happen at all with this litter.
The smell is also very pleasant. When freshly spread, it has a slight scent reminiscent of a carpenter’s workshop ;-) and even after several days or weeks, the odour remains well-contained. Even after the first warm days, we didn’t have any issues.
All the cats accept the litter wonderfully, including – which was a bit of a concern for me – our heavy Maine Coon tomcat, who has no problems with it. It doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable on their paws.
The large pack is very economical. I also find that the “cat waste” is less compared to the fine sandy clumping litters; it seems to absorb liquid very well.
I don’t think it’s suitable for kittens, though, as it clumps. For the first few days, when kittens tend to eat the litter, I’ll continue using a non-clumping litter. But as I said, that only applies to the first few days.
We’re sticking with Cats Best Öko Plus. :-)

All in all, absolutely brilliant
As the "cat litter manager," I find this litter very good. It smells very natural, and after our cat has used it, there's hardly any odour, and our kitty doesn't keep sneezing. With the litter we used before, her vigorous digging in the tray constantly triggered sneezing fits due to the dust.
It's also great that you can dispose of the litter in the toilet.

I'm thrilled!
After experimenting with various types of clumping litter for quite a while, I came across CBÖP a few months ago thanks to my sister. And I’m absolutely thrilled! The litter clumps really well and has a pleasant woody smell, even after our cat has done his business. I always order 40 litres straight away because I think it’s incredibly affordable for the quality. And the best part: you can dispose of it via the toilet or compost!! So, our Brazzo loves it, and I won’t be switching litter anymore. Regarding the dust issue: Well, if you have a pet, you have to expect that it might make a bit of mess. And you clean your home regularly anyway, don’t you?!

Simply brilliant!
Until now, we only used bentonite litter and didn’t quite trust the eco-litter. We decided to give it a try and are absolutely satisfied and thrilled. No unpleasant odours, even though the litter stayed in the tray for a long time. Very economical – a 40-litre bag lasts almost 3 months for two cats. It can even be disposed of via the toilet, as it breaks down into a slimy mass. We compost it, which also saves on waste disposal fees. Above all, it’s not as heavy as bentonite litter – great for the postwoman ;-). Minor drawback: it tends to scatter around the toilet, but it’s easy to sweep or vacuum up. So: thumbs up and 5 stars!

It's alright!
I bought this litter because of the many good reviews. Unfortunately, the litter did not meet my expectations. At first, I was quite satisfied. However, after about a week, the litter started to produce an extreme amount of dust. On top of that, I kept noticing a nasty smell whenever I went near the cat litter box. I also don’t find the much-advertised efficiency to be particularly accurate. Conclusion: I’ll stick to my usual litter, the Cassy Cat cat litter. However, anyone who doesn’t have overly high expectations will probably be happy with this litter.
