Quality has declined
I used this litter for 5 years, and I’ve now noticed that the quality has really gone downhill. I have to agree with the previous reviewers. The whole flat stinks after a "big" trip to the toilet, and my cat is so fussy that she peed outside the box because the smell of the urine wasn’t absorbed. When removing it, the clumps sometimes fall apart. I’ve now switched to a different brand, and there’s no smell anymore.

I've been buying it for several years.
...only 4 stars because of the amount of litter scattered around the rest of the flat.
Our cats have been using it for several years now. Since we breed Sacred Birmans, we use a different litter when we have kittens in the house, and then all the cats prefer the other litter.
We don’t have any bad smells because our cats’ faeces don’t smell as strong due to their high-quality food, and there’s also less waste in the litter box.
Unfortunately, this litter spreads very easily, which is why I don’t recommend it to my kitten buyers unless they, like us, have a separate basement room with litter boxes or can place the litter box somewhere out of the way. Definitely don’t put it in the bathroom, as the moisture causes it to cement itself into the grout, and it’s a real hassle to remove. (We’ve had a lot of grout issues).
The quality of the bags is sometimes inconsistent, but the majority are of the same quality. We’re more heavy users since cleanliness, especially in the litter box, is absolutely essential in cat breeding.
The litter boxes are easy to clean when completely emptied, unlike clumping sand litter.
Composting saves a lot on waste disposal fees, which you should also factor in.
Our cats would probably choose a different litter, but they don’t tend to be messy, as they’re rather picky and bury their waste well. We’ve tested many types of litter for a company, and some smelled awful by the next day, yet our cats still used them.
For us as breeders, litter is a significant financial expense, and some other clumping litters need to be changed after just two or three days because they smell terrible (due to urine). This hasn’t been the case with Best Öko so far.
We only notice a strong faeces smell when our buyers bring other TV-advertised food brands as a small gift. We feed Bozita, Feline Porta21, Almo Nature, mostly Pro Nature dry food, raw chicken or turkey meat, beef fillet, and we hardly have any faeces odour.
++Great handling, clumping is usually flawless, excellent price range, I don’t find the wood smell unpleasant—better than sand dust or baby powder scent. It also dissipates quite quickly.
Compostable, a large bag lasts a long time, even with large litter boxes.
++Spreads easily around the flat, quality isn’t always consistent, sometimes the litter pieces crumble, especially with longer or heavier use.
Some cats need an adjustment period when switching litter, similar to when changing food.
+++++++I still wouldn’t buy anything else.+++

Fortunately, only temporary.
I bought this litter on the recommendation of my naturopath because I suffer from an allergy. Thank goodness that's almost over, and then I'll go back to using my usual cat litter.
- This absorbs very poorly
- It even sticks to the fur of my two short-haired cats
- Doesn't bind the smell at all!!
- On the contrary, the stench is almost unbearable
- The cats' acceptance is very limited
What a shame!

Highly recommended!!!
I’m a complete beginner when it comes to keeping cats, and during my extensive research, I came across Best Öko Plus. Our verdict: THERE’S NOTHING BETTER!!!

Super! We are very satisfied.
I think it's great that I can simply dispose of the stuff on the compost. After using the toilet, I don't smell anything. Clumps perfectly, so cleaning the toilet is easy. Our old cat (12) immediately accepted the new litter. She's an outdoor cat and used to do her business somewhere in the flowerbed outside. Not anymore. Now she always uses the litter box. That says it all, doesn't it? :-)

Quality isn't what it used to be.
I was very satisfied for many years, but, as others have apparently noticed too, the quality has been very disappointing lately. Even though this summer wasn’t nearly as hot as previous ones, I
constantly had a terrible smell in the flat, despite regularly cleaning and changing the entire litter much more frequently. Really such a shame!!!

Well... from the cats' perspective
I won’t rate it myself but rather on behalf of my cats, because I would have given it full marks... but my cats completely rejected it and unfortunately did their business everywhere except in their litter box... until I put their old, beloved litter back in. This was to avoid having to buy even more bath mats or clean up little messes on the hallway floor...

Binds perfectly and doesn't smell!
Binds very well and with one or two cleanings per day, it hardly smells at all! The price is reasonable and the cats seem happy.

Absolutely brilliant!!!
I’m really impressed and can definitely recommend this product!
When our little fairy does her "business", we end up with a proper big clump in the litter tray, which we never had with our previous clumping litter (I honestly have no idea why THAT was even called clumping litter). I just scoop out the lump, give it a quick stir, and I’m done. And the best part is that I can dispose of everything in the organic waste bin.
The fact that our fairy drags out a few "leftovers" of the litter on her paws when leaving the litter tray doesn’t bother me enough to deduct a point, as this happens with all clumping litters.

immediately accepted
At first, I was a bit sceptical about whether my new rescue cat would accept this litter, which does smell a bit different. But on the very first night, he sought out, found, and used the litter tray with Cat’s Best.
I’m very happy about this because this litter, with its great properties, has become my absolute favourite, and I’ve only ever had good experiences with it and all my cats so far.
So for me, it’s clear: the litter is environmentally friendly, easy and quick to dispose of, has excellent odour control and clumping... what more could I want? :-D

Last Resort
We were on the verge of giving our new little kitten back because he simply refused to use the litter box. He immediately accepted Cat's Best Öko Plus, and after a few days, he's now fully house-trained. By far the best cat litter on the market. Thank you so much.

Mixed opinions - bipeds versus quadrupeds
This litter undoubtedly has many advantages: it's lightweight, absorbs odours really well, produces very little dust, clumps nicely, and doesn't spread around the entire flat as quickly. In short, every cat owner's dream! However, the big downside is that our two cats don't share our enthusiasm for this litter. They now use their litter box very reluctantly and less frequently than before (probably because of the very strong wood smell). With one of them, we even thought she might be constipated, as she hadn't done her business in the litter box for four days. Until we discovered that she now prefers to bury it in the soil of the flower boxes on the balcony floor. Lovely surprise!
Well, our "test" has only been going on for 9 days, so we should probably exercise a bit more patience. We're hoping that persistence and determination on our part will lead to the desired success or acceptance by the cats.

Again and again
So far, we've tried many different types of litter. After no more than two days, we had to refill the litter in the toilet, and the used litter was quite heavy. By chance, I came across this litter and decided to give it a try. And it's clear: we're sticking with it. Wonderful clumping, excellent odour control, lightweight. Simply fantastic.
And to reassure you: other litters also get scattered around the house, but a quick sweep does the trick.
Not to forget: in the long run, you save a lot of money compared to other litters.

Smells like a carpentry workshop!
Curious because of all the positive reviews, I decided to give this litter a try. The solid clumps stick to the paws and get spread everywhere. I have four cats, but only two of them accepted this product! And the smell – like a carpenter’s workshop. Damp wood. After just two days, it was stuck to the bottom of the litter tray. I had to completely change it once a week because it stuck so much and smelled unpleasant! And that’s despite me cleaning the litter trays five times a day! Conclusion: Cheap litter, convenient to dispose of in the toilet. Bad smell, sticky. My search for the perfect litter continues!

We love it!
I’m very pleasantly surprised :)
My two tigers accepted it straight away, and cleaning is so quick and hassle-free with this litter—not only because you can flush it down the toilet, but also because the clumps are easy to remove and hardly anything (almost nothing) sticks to the bottom of the litter tray.
And you can’t smell a thing! AMAZING :D
I’m very satisfied and will always buy it from now on!!

I definitely won't be buying that again.
Difficult to clean, the litter is constantly being dug out by the cats, starts to smell after just 3 days – despite regularly scooping out the clumps – and the worst part --> it sticks terribly to long-haired fur. I had to cut the litter out of the fur with scissors every day. We're now back to using our Biocats Micro – it's the complete opposite and highly recommended.

I'm thrilled
I ordered here for the first time and thought I'd just give this cat litter a try, and I have to say I'm really impressed! It doesn't smell at all, and I've had it in for almost 2 weeks now. My little darling seems absolutely thrilled with the litter because I get the feeling she’s now spending all her time hanging around her litter box ;) I can only recommend it!!

I'm completely satisfied.
As I am disabled, this is the perfect cat litter for me. My two little kittens accepted it straight away, and I can easily dispose of the clumps in the toilet. It clumps perfectly and neutralises odours!!!
You save both time and money thanks to the minimal waste!

Was rejected!
The litter was immediately rejected by both of my cats; one of them even refused to use the toilet all day.
The litter clumps very poorly and has a strong, unpleasant odour. Yesterday, I ordered Extreme Classic again.

The best!
After trying out a few options, I’ve finally settled on this cat litter and I’m absolutely satisfied. It doesn’t smell, clumps brilliantly, and is extremely economical. The scattering around the flat happens with other litters too (I don’t find it that bad, after all, I’ve got a broom and dustpan). So, I won’t be switching to any other!
