No matter what type of litter you use, you should NEVER dispose of it via the household toilet! Some housing cooperatives and other landlords have completely banned pet ownership because they’ve had to deal with clogged pipes caused by cat litter being flushed down the toilet, which required expensive pipe cleaning. And then no one wants to admit they were responsible! Even if the litter seems to flush away easily at first, it can accumulate in bends and curves further down and lead to blockages – even if it takes a while for this to happen. Such disposal methods shouldn’t even be mentioned in the product description! I ALWAYS use a small 5-10 litre waste bag to dispose of any litter, regardless of the type. I collect clumps and solid waste in it for 2-3 days, tie it up securely, and throw it in the household rubbish. That’s the only place it belongs – unless you have access to a bio-disposal option. (I’m currently looking for a flat and can’t get one through tenant protection organisations or some landlords because they no longer allow pets for the reasons mentioned above. And my cats HAVE to come with me! They’re part of my life and are very attached to me! Plus, they’re already 15.5 and almost 12.75 years old.) If you own your own house, you can do whatever you want. Otherwise, please be cautious about disposing of litter via the toilet! Thank you.

We tried Cats Best Öko and replaced it completely with our old cat litter after just 8 weeks. The sweet smell of Cats Best Öko, which arises in combination with faeces, is terribly unpleasant. On top of that, after about 4 weeks, very fine wood dust forms at the bottom, which is almost impossible to remove and sticks to the floor with the urine. For us, it's not an alternative!

I only bought this litter because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, it’s very dusty. I always have breathing problems when cleaning it, which I didn’t experience with fine bentonite litter. But my cat is just as thrilled with this litter as I am. Whenever she smells it, she starts gagging. So she tries to do her business with her head held up high. I’m just glad she’s still using her litter box at all. I’ll keep using this litter until the pack is finished, but I won’t be buying it again.

A really great cat litter that never smells, is incredibly economical, and can be disposed of in the toilet without any issues (though, of course, not the entire contents of the litter tray). Completely replacing the litter about every 4 weeks is absolutely sufficient.

Update: I recommended the litter to others. The family bought it and are more than satisfied. They used to have litter with baby powder, but they were fed up with the smell. Now they only buy this litter.

Also suitable for two cats, the litter is very good. You just need to dispose of the clumps in good time (thank goodness you can flush them down the toilet). Occasionally, they carry some granules on their paws, but that's just a minor drawback. Super economical.

We are 4 cats and have 5 litter boxes. Every morning, I scoop out all the clumps, and then the cats use the litter boxes. I have 2 in the living room, and it doesn’t smell of cat waste. I always order the 40-litre bag, and it lasts me 4 months. I love this litter, and so do the cats. It’s the best I’ve ever bought. I’ve tried almost all of them, but I’ve stuck with this one. Only the best is simply Cats the Best.

I accidentally ordered this litter a second time. That was the last time! Luckily, I chose the smallest amount (10 litres), and it only lasted me a week! I do have two cats, but my Ginny only uses the regular litter box for "number two"; for urinating, she uses a separate one lined with kitchen and toilet paper. Second point: This litter is quite dusty and smells strongly of wood dust. I experience breathing problems when cleaning the toilet and simply cannot tolerate this litter. Third: It’s very coarse and nowhere near as efficient as a fine clumping litter. Fourth: The litter forms a proper cardboard-like layer on the bottom of the toilet, which becomes almost impossible to scrape off after a while. My conclusion: Absolutely not recommended! On the other hand, Biocats Micro is excellent! I managed to make a 10-litre bag last a whole 4 weeks! More on that there.

I've been using this cat litter for some time now for my two ferrets and I'm completely satisfied. I just feel better about using a plant-based litter, especially when it comes to accidental ingestion. I also love that I can simply throw it onto my compost heap. Perfect!

It doesn’t smell anymore. The clumping is great. My cat accepted it straight away. The only downside: it spreads around the flat very quickly. However, the other points are more important to me, so it still gets 5 stars :-)

My daughter's comment about the litter: "Mum, it doesn't smell anymore." And I can only agree with that and will stick with this litter. The litter itself has a pleasant scent, it's long-lasting because it binds so well, and our two little ones (5-month-old tomcats) like it too. So, what more could you want?

I’ve had four cats for many years now and have tried out lots of different cat litters. After just a few days – even with daily cleaning – they all smelled bad. But this litter is completely different. Even after weeks of use, there’s no smell at all. Instead, the litter trays give off a lovely woody scent – absolutely brilliant!! Myself, Timothy, Nepomuk, Luna, and Mohrle are all just so happy. We’re all agreed: we’ll never use anything else again! ;-)

The litter isn’t suitable for two cats? I have three cats and ONLY use this litter! No problems, super efficient, odour-binding, and it’s very well accepted. By far the BEST cat litter!

I’ve been buying Cat’s Best Öko cat litter for three months now and I’m very satisfied. There’s no smell in the flat from the litter tray. I’ll stick with this cat litter.

There's nothing better! Odour formation is practically non-existent, and the litter is very economical. I have one cat, and one bag lasts for many weeks. It smells pleasantly of wood and, unlike clay clumping litter or others, is totally lightweight and doesn’t create any dust!! Another bonus is that the litter doesn’t stick or smear on the floor at all—you can use it right down to the last bit and then simply dispose of it via the toilet. Absolutely brilliant!!!!

We have 5 cats who especially use the litter box in winter. With Cat's Best ÖkoPlus, we've had the very best experience: no odours, and the cats are very happy to use it. Nothing else is going in the litter box anymore!

My little mice and I are absolutely thrilled with this cat litter! Finally, a litter that keeps the flat smelling fresh even after 2 weeks. Disposing of it via the toilet works perfectly as well. For larger clumps, I always pour a bit of water over the litter first before flushing properly. So... two thumbs up!!

Before I discovered this litter 5 years ago, I was really unhappy with the odours coming from the cat litter box. For the past 5 years, I’ve been using Cat’s Best and I’m just completely satisfied. It absorbs moisture and the odours have significantly decreased. In the meantime, we were gifted a pack of a different litter. Of course, we used it, but we were grateful to be able to switch back to Cat’s Best :-)
