Light litter, very economical, easy to dispose of, smells good—even after several days! I can't understand why it’s supposed to create dust throughout the entire flat... you only fill the litter box in one spot, right??? It does produce a bit of dust, but I’m also an allergy sufferer, and it’s nowhere near as bad as it’s sometimes described. Most of the time, there’s a bit of litter in front of the cat litter box, as it’s—as already mentioned—very light, but that’s quickly cleaned up. You have to vacuum at least once a day anyway if you have pets. The smell remains pleasant even after several days, although I do dispose of the clumps several times a day. However, if you don’t clean it for two days or longer—which isn’t exactly uncommon—I can imagine it would start to smell pretty bad!

I think the litter is great – you can’t smell a thing, it can stay in the box for a long time, so it’s also economical. The only problem: I have a Maine Coon and a Persian, and since the granules are so light, they occasionally get stuck in their fur. But compared to those thick, hard clumps from other litters, it’s really not a big deal!

At first, I was positively impressed by the lightness of the litter. When pouring it into the litter box, I was delighted that it smelled very pleasant and didn’t create dust, but then: Where were my cats???? After about 4 hours, my tomcat very hesitantly went into the litter box and did his business. He seemed very suspicious... But my cat... She didn’t want to use the box. She actually didn’t go near it for 22 hours. After a long time meowing, she finally went in, did her big business without burying it. On top of that, my entire flat was covered in this litter (it’s very light), so it spreads easily around the house. Additionally, it’s very sharp-edged. I immediately bought new litter. My cats were back to their "old selves." I would NEVER buy this litter again! Definitely not suitable for long-haired cats (I have 2 Persians).

And we’re really happy with it! Previously, we used a bentonite clumping litter, which was quite good too, but the odour control left a lot to be desired, and it generated a fair amount of household waste! So, we wanted a more environmentally friendly alternative. This litter has excellent clumping properties and is very easy to dispose of! Okay, it’s not completely odour-free, but if you clean regularly, I honestly can’t agree with the negative opinions, and it smells much better than the previous ones! The dust formation when filling the litter boxes is minimal. One downside is that it tends to spread outside the litter box! But that’s due to our Maine Coon – some of it sticks to her fur – though this doesn’t happen with our short-haired cat. We can live with it since both cats do their business in the basement, and any stray bits are cleaned up before the basement stairs, which is easy to vacuum or sweep quickly! All in all, this is an environmentally friendly, very good clumping, and well-odour-binding litter. With long-haired cats, you just have to accept a bit more mess!

Really not pleased, I always buy value litter and thought Id try this as bags only last us around 3-4days. WELL! someone wrote that this lasts 3 cats 8weeks...Hmmmm did they mean as they have outdoor cats?! Lasted me 3days! and tracked everywhere. I will stick to my value litter!

The Eco-Plus litter absorbs urine really well and doesn’t let any odours develop at all. You can only smell a little from the "big" business. It’s easy to scoop up and can be disposed of in the toilet without any issues. I’ve tried many types of litter, but I’m most satisfied with this one.

What's written on the packaging is exactly what's inside. Smells good and, contrary to other reviews, doesn't spread through our flat. We've placed a regular doormat in front of the litter box, so it gets wiped off there. The cat is very happy. So are we :-)

I have a 5-month-old kitten and have already tried several types of cat litter from the beginning until now. Our litter box is in the kitchen, so it's very important that it doesn't smell. I rate Cat's Best Öko Plus as the best. It only smells when the cat does her business, but I clean it up straight away. Otherwise, I clean the litter box twice a day (morning and evening). The claim on the bag that it lasts 4-6 weeks doesn't seem accurate to me. In my experience, I need to completely replace it after about 3 weeks.

I used to buy Worlds Best and it was breaking my budget. This is a cheaper alternative, the cats love it as well and odour wise it's better than World's best and it's half price. I'm not going back!

After it was named the test winner by Ökotest, I wanted to try it out since I prefer using renewable resources and the product was also rated very well here. To stay objective: I have 4 cats and set up 2 litter boxes in the basement. The dust development is very low, the clumping behaviour is good, but by the 3rd day, you could smell the litter box throughout the entire staircase. Eco-friendly or not, unfortunately, my sensitive nose just can't handle that! This might belong in a rabbit hutch, but definitely not in a cat litter box.

Brilliant litter, I was using so much before, and I love how it makes a kind of gel ball, very easy to use and great with the hygenic combination of this and the litter champ bin, it's transformed the arduous task of litter cleaning - no smells or mess! The litter trails a little more as the particles are small, but it's a small price to pay!

I ended up using Cats Best Öko Plus because of my kidney-diseased cat. Now I have two cats, and I continue to use it because both of them, including the little one, have taken to it really well. And let's be honest, there's no litter that stays 100% in the litter box—there will always be a few crumbs ending up on the floor. It's nice and lightweight, and the solid waste can be easily disposed of via the toilet. I dispose of the liquid waste in the organic waste bin. However, you do need a scoop for the coarser litter. We're satisfied and see no reason to switch.

After reading so many good reviews about this litter and hearing my colleague rave about it, I decided to get a bag and give it a try. As soon as I opened it, I was hit by a disgusting musty, woody smell. When pouring it out, fine dust went straight into my throat and nose, making it hard for me to breathe. Even my four cats avoided this litter box/litter completely. Today, I ended up putting it back into the bag, and on the bottom of the litter box, there was a fine cream-brown sand/dust. AND it is definitely not dust-free or low-dust as claimed. I had to clean yellowish dust off the bathroom surfaces. No!! I’ll stick to my usual litter, thank you very much.

I've tried a few litters and prefer clumping ones because I find them easier to clean and more economical. My situation is that I have one short-hair cat who has a covered tray with a tracking mat placed at the entrance which is placed so that he must step on the mat and cannot jump over it. I tried this brand because I wanted something natural and World's Best litter was causing major dust problems in my place and now I'm sold on Cat's Best. The grains are slightly larger than World's Best which means on my short-hair they don't cause as much tracking and dust. I do empty my tracking mat into his tray everyday, but I don't have to hoover around his tray except during my usual weekly hoover. I have no problems with odour, but he does have a covered tray so I don't know how it would be with an open tray. The clumping action is really good, but it is quite easy to spear through the clumps with your scoop if you aren't careful. I find that my litter lasts a very long time as well which for me makes it quite economical even considering that it is quite pricey per bag. I'd check out other reviews if you have a long-hair cat (my sister-in-law swears by pine pellet litter for her long-hair) or an open tray. Otherwise, I think this is an amazing litter!

I've been using this litter for 3 weeks now and can't wait for the massive bag to finally be empty! My cats don't like the litter at all, but we'll just have to get through it until it's gone! The litter is ridiculously dusty, it ends up all over the flat constantly—no, we're sticking with our old litter and regret switching brands.

I can only agree with the positive comments here – in my opinion, this cat litter is the best and truly worth the money! It’s super efficient/long-lasting and doesn’t smell! I have to admit that the litter does get spread around the flat a bit because it’s so lightweight, but I’d take that 10 times over the stench that comes from some clumping litters!!!

I have mixed feelings about this cat litter. On the one hand, it has good odour control, can be disposed of via the toilet, is lightweight, lasts a long time, and is affordable. But the downsides are that it creates dust like crazy. You end up with it spread all over the flat, and when you wipe the dust off, it becomes slimy and hard to remove. If the cats dig too deep, the residue left on the bottom after removing the clumps becomes rock-hard (when "scraping" it off, the scoop can break). When the cats urinate and the stream softens the litter, causing it to swell slightly upwards, slimy residue can stick to the cats' "private area," which they clean reluctantly or, in the worst case, not at all, and then sit down somewhere. I took a little break from CBÖ and tried other brands (even very expensive ones), but I wasn’t satisfied with those at all.

After all the positive reviews, we just had to give this litter a try. It may well be true that it’s very economical and odour-binding, BUT: THE LIGHTWEIGHT LITTER GETS STUCK IN THE FUR AND ENDS UP BEING SPREAD ALL OVER THE FLAT! I definitely won’t be buying it again!

Since changing to Cat's Best my Dylan has never been happier to use his litter tray, unfortunately since taking him on as a rescue siamese someone kindly dumped a cat with feline aids near to us and Dylan now has Feline Aids but we keep him in, he also has a very large pen so he has his litter trays every where, we never get a smell even when we have forgotten to clean one for a few days! (sorry Dylan) It is so easy to clean out and great that I can put it in my compost bin. I would recommend it to anyone with a cat they have to have indoors.

I have never, ever left a comment on the internet before, as I always thought everyone else was already writing enough. But in this case, I want to make an exception. For 25 years, I’ve been buying various cat litters, some good, some less so. This litter from Cat’s Best is the best litter I’ve ever had for my two cats. It doesn’t smell, clumps so wonderfully that it’s super easy to remove, is gentle on the cats’ paws, and is incredibly long-lasting. I will never switch again. Thank you so much, Cat’s Best!
