Customers appreciate this cat litter for its effective clumping and odour control, making it a long-time favorite for many. However, recent changes in formula have led to dissatisfaction, with complaints about reduced clumping, increased dust, and tracking issues. Despite these negatives, some users still find it economical and environmentally friendly, praising its lightweight nature and absorbency. Overall, while it has its drawbacks, the litter remains a popular choice for its original benefits.

Simply brilliant!
We've been trying it out for a week now, and I'm thrilled. The odour control is fantastic, the litter doesn't get spread all over the flat, and you don't wince in pain every time you step on it barefoot, like with the silica crystals. The real highlight, though, is that the clumps can be flushed down the toilet, so there's no need for "temporary storage" in the Litter Locker anymore. Our Bengal cat switched over immediately, while the Abyssinian is still a bit hesitant and has a backup box with the old litter for safety. But we'll convince him too!

Get rid of it,
I've been using this cat litter enthusiastically for over 2 years now and have even recommended it to friends. Unfortunately, I’ll be phasing it out of my personal use. It still clumps, but as soon as you try to remove the clumps with the scoop, they crumble into countless pieces. Such a shame – that's certainly one way to reduce your customer base.

Good cat litter, small clumps sometimes fall apart.
I bought this cat litter based on a recommendation. I'm satisfied with the odour control, and I also like the option to dispose of it via the toilet. One star deducted because smaller clumps often crumble, which makes daily cleaning of the litter tray more difficult, and it’s a bit dusty.

Never another one!
I've been using this litter for about 2 years now and I'm still extremely satisfied. Disposing of the clumps via the toilet works without any issues, the odour control is excellent, and the tomcat likes using it. The only downside is the slightly higher tendency of the litter to stick to the cat's paws, which leads to it being spread more widely around the flat. However, this is offset by its incredible efficiency.

It's starting to get unpleasant.
We've been using this litter for almost a year now and were always satisfied. Unfortunately, the quality has become more hit-and-miss lately. It still clumps, but no longer into a nice "ball". Instead, there are only small clumps, which makes cleaning the litter box a tedious task. Sometimes it even sticks to the bottom. Looks like we'll have to find a new litter.

Where is the quality??
It's getting more and more expensive, and the quality is getting worse and worse.
It starts smelling after just two weeks, and the clumps fall apart immediately when you touch them with the scoop.
Compared to how it used to be, the quality has really gone downhill, and I'm seriously considering switching to something else.
Just utterly disappointing.

The best thing I’ve ever seen.
Easy to use, doesn’t create dust when pouring, very good clumping, clumps can be composted or disposed of via the organic waste bin or the toilet.
The 20-litre bag lasts an average of 5 weeks for my 2 cats!!!!!
Best regards, Bemes

What's suddenly wrong with the litter?
After testing loads of expensive and less expensive litters, I’ve been sticking with the Öko Plus cat litter for quite a while now (I think for about 2 years).
After cleaning the litter box (removing the clumps), it no longer smelled like a cat litter box, and this lasted for a really long time.
However, with the last pack (20L), I had a rude awakening: suddenly, the litter hardly clumps anymore. The urine clumps completely fall apart and can’t be properly removed from the box unless you take all the surrounding litter with it as well.
Before, I always used the 40L pack. Maybe that’s the reason?
I hope so, because I don’t know of a better one :/

Once upon a time...
I used to think this litter was really great... it had excellent clumping and was therefore easy to clean. Nowadays, I can't do anything with this litter anymore... it still smells great, but the clumping is just awful. I clean the litter box quite carefully, but the clumps still constantly fall apart, making it much more work. I won't be buying it again.

Doesn't clump very well
It smells like wood when unpacking. In the loo, it doesn’t smell. Hardly any dust. But: clumps with cat pee...? No, unless you scoop around so carefully that you find the clumps intact and then veeery gently remove them with velvet... no... rubber gloves. I’ve almost gotten used to it. Recently, I looked after a friend’s cats: Catsan Ultra Clump – that really clumps rock-hard! But it also smells like cat pee. And it can’t be disposed of via the toilet. So, for now, I’ll stick with Cat’s Best.

Super
I bought the 20-litre bag and am very satisfied. The litter clumps well and smells nice too. I've had the litter in the cat litter box for about 3 weeks now, and there's no odour. It's also great that individual clumps can be disposed of via the toilet.
Unfortunately, a lot of the litter sticks to the paws and gets spread around the flat, so only 4 stars.

Simply brilliant!!!
My kittens love it, and so do I! Clumps instantly, smells pleasant, and lasts a long time! Doesn’t need to be changed constantly! I’m so glad I got the tip to try out Cat's Best!!!

Keeps getting more expensive and worse at the same time!
I've been using Cats Best for two years now. At first, I was really impressed... the litter cost £17.99 for 40 litres and clumped brilliantly. It didn’t smell and had a pleasant woody scent, plus it produced very little dust. Over time, though, the litter got more and more expensive, and the quality noticeably declined! I'm disappointed. The litter trays start smelling after just two days, the clumps fall apart when you try to remove them, and after a few days, there’s more dust than litter in the tray... I won’t be buying this litter anymore and will switch to Biokats instead... never again Cats Best! -.-

Clumping litter?
I've been using Cats Best Öko Plus for almost 2 years now, but for several months the quality (clumping/dust development/odour control) has fluctuated greatly. By now, it's so bad that the clumps completely fall apart. The crumbs are as small as the litter itself, so they can't even be sifted out! The dust development has also increased, and the time until a complete change is necessary has significantly shortened. On top of the quality loss, there was also a price increase.
I'm now mixing it with an eco-litter from another manufacturer just to use up the bag. After that, I’ll switch entirely to the other litter.
What a shame, because just a year ago this litter was highly recommendable without any reservations!

Not the be-all and end-all
Unfortunately, the cat litter did not meet our expectations. Our apartment puma does all his business in his litter box, which is heavily used, so the product description sounded promising. The smell and appearance of the fresh litter are really the only points in its favour. However, the clumping ability and odour control of Öku Plus by Cat's Best quickly made it a no-go for us as a new clumping litter. Such a shame, because the idea sounded great.
So, we’ll stick with mineral-based litter, which binds odours better and has superior clumping ability.

There's nothing better!!!
I previously used various cat litters and was dissatisfied with all of them. They didn’t clump properly, and the smell was absolutely awful :(
Then someone recommended Best Öko Plus to me... and I can only say I am more than SATISFIED!!!
Catsan doesn’t even come close... I tried that too, but it just reeked of ammonia. Best Öko Plus is PERFECT. It doesn’t smell, it clumps brilliantly... and my cat loves it too.
I wonder what others are doing wrong that makes it smell and not clump...
For me, this litter deserves more than 5 stars!!!

THE BEST EVER - After trying 7 brands
I tried 7 different brands of cat litter, because we are very particular about the smell which comes from the used litter. CAT'S BEST justifies its name, its odorless, easiest to clean, and my cats like it! Its affordable, and convenient...I recommend it to every cat owner...Thanks a lot to whom so ever makes Cat's Best

Clumps break apart, poor odour control!
I usually use fine sand litter with a clumping effect. I wanted to try Cats Best Öko Plus, even though I was actually satisfied with my old one! Result: I’ll be going back to using my sand litter in the future! Cats Best clumps very poorly, the clumps fall apart. Also, it hardly binds odours. Unfortunately, not satisfactory for me!

Very satisfied! I'll buy again...
I'm a bit puzzled because I'm surprised by the previous comments expressing great dissatisfaction. Hmmm, are we really using the same litter? I can't agree with them. I'm thrilled with this litter!
The best thing is that it doesn't smell like faeces at all. That was completely different with the branded product I used before!
Three weeks ago, I completely refilled the litter tray with about 10 litres, and since then, I've been scooping out the clumps several times a day. I've only had to top it up with about 1 litre once. The litter is very economical; I reckon I'll manage about 6 to 8 weeks with 20 litres (for one cat).
I admit that I initially flinched at the price, but looking back, it's not more expensive than other litters, maybe even cheaper. With cheap products, you end up refilling the tray completely more often because they stink terribly, so they end up costing just as much. I'd much rather avoid unpleasant odours; it makes both humans and pets happy!
Some have criticised the clumping ability, which I haven't noticed at all. Maybe it's due to using a scoop with too fine a mesh, as you'd have to shake it too much? I use a very coarse-mesh scoop, and the "clean" litter almost falls out on its own. Nothing crumbles for me.
Another great feature is the disposal: simply flush the clumps down the regular toilet and that's it! If you want to save water, you can do it at the same time as your own business. No more rubbish piling up in the bin outside, which is always overflowing anyway.
Overall: I'm more than satisfied!
