MAC's Cat 6 x 400g

Bought this for my kitten. He won't touch it. Neither will my older cat or any of my three dogs.

BUT it's not anymore. Quality got so much worse. There's no more gravy in it, so it's like very hard pate. My cats used to love it and now they just barely touch it. It's really disappointing as there are not many cat food with low % of phosphates which my cat need. Gonna look for something else.

The last batch was disappoint, the ring pulls kept breaking so I had to use a can opener which wouldnt open the cans properly. There seems to be more like rock hard chunks in the food which is not safe for kittens and bits that look like chicken throats.

My cats are fussy like all cats, but they will eat food that is not their preferred choice if hungry enough. This however, they would not touch at all, even if mixed with other foods. I Ended up donating it all to the local cat rescue. Waste of money!

Wouldn’t even touch it!

My cats are eating everything and I have been buying all sorts of wet food brands from cheap one to expensive "premium" and generally there was no problem to clean up the full bowl to the last bit. Every morning they have 200g and when I am back from work there is nothing left, but not with MAC's! Cats hate it and they basically run away from it. I was trying to fed them by hand, mix the food with other brands, add leftover chicken from dinner and nothing will convince them to eat this stuff...

I was feeling that the cats were getting a little fed up with cats fine food And wanted to give them a change. I introduced slowly And for all three flavours. The cat simply will not eat it. I’ve spent every morning throwing out to the wildlife! When I introduced bozita They loved it and ate it instantly. I definitely will not be buying this food again. I was hoping they would like at least one flavour! Goes back to the old saying why Fix that which isn’t broken!

I must admit it didn't look very appetizing to me. The cats really disliked it. Even the neighbors cat who sneaks in to steal the food didn't like it.

Macs seem to have changed the recipe - The food looks different. My kittens won't touch this latest version.

The food smells absolutely awful, and my cat hasn't wanted to eat it at all for some time now. After opening the can, you have to air out the house. From what I see in other reviews, I'm not the only one. Money down the drain.

Until recently, my 4-month-old cat used to eat this flavour in the 200g version with great appetite. He won't even touch the 400g cans… he 'buries' the bowl and walks away. It's the same with the Turkey and Rabbit flavours… it's clear that the bigger cans are of worse quality.

The quality has clearly gone downhill in the last six months. Even when I store it in the fridge with the lid on, the tin starts to smell after 2-3 hours. That just shouldn't happen. Sometimes, even when I open a fresh tin, the contents smell bad too. I won't be buying this again.

My cat refuses to eat the beef variety, even though he likes Mac's food and is used to having a variety. He wouldn't touch this food, not even when it was topped with broth or mixed with another food—he just picked out the other pieces and left the beef, and there were even times when he refused completely, just sniffed it and walked away from the bowl. There's something not right with this food.

This is already my second order in a row where I can clearly see the food’s formula has changed for the worse. I’ve never come across such large lumps of fat in this food before. The overall texture has changed as well. I don’t recommend it. The manufacturer didn’t inform about any changes.

I can't really judge the quality, but for me it was a pointless purchase—my cats just don't like it at all, they leave everything in their bowls.

My cats don’t eat carrots. I gave the food to the stray cats instead. At least they’ll have something to eat.
